Just thought i would post another mention for htccode.com, got my unlock code this morning and they were very informative and fast to reply via email.
25 Euros well spent considering nowhere else has them yet.

T-Mobile takes upto a month. HTC Code took a day.
If one needs to unlock and can't wait, it is an option, but if one needs it unlocked say in 2 months for their trip abroad, I don't see why use the services provided under this link... unless the price goes under £15...

T-mobile response about unlocking the desire is this.
You cannot request an unlock code <subsidy pin> for the first month you own the phone, after than you can request it and it takes upto 28 days to recieve that code.
So you are looking at 2months from now for the desire.

Odd, the chap at t-mobile I spoke to (0845 412 5000, though I think it's just the 150 equivalent number for landlines) just ordered the code for my new Desire, to arrive via snailmail in 14-28 days. Very pleasant about it too, which hasn't always been my experience with providers and SIM-unlocks.
Edit: ...though, I was already a t-mob customer, so I wonder if they only have a months delay for new customers, so they don't get scammed by folk with fake bank/cc details.

I have been a customer for 6 months, the lady told me it takes 1 month for our phones to go on the database, then I can apply for the code, anyway it's irrelevant now lol i have just gone to the above site and paid the 25 euros.
I had previously tried 2 other services and both of them said they can do it then couldnt, but these are saying they defo can do it. The other guys on ebay have both refunded my money so nothing lost there.

Can confirm i just got my unlock code nextday from this company, very good support and live chat.
ridiculous that we have to pay for something that should be free!

We had a customer successfully unlock the HTC Desire at MobileUnlocked.co.uk today and it cost them £16.50 (approx 19 euros)
The code takes between 5 and 30 minutes, although AOL and Hotmail users should be aware that the email with the code usually goes into their spam folder.

i called tmobile and the emailed me the code in less than 24 hours.
Anychance you could post a link to the 15 dollar unlock service plz

wow dude, way to be an a**hole. he did answer. those are the only 2 options. search
anyway, why do you want to unlock for AT&T/Cingular anyway? you can't even use the 3G since Tmobile uses different 3G bands.
Actually i have searched, and the ones I've found are alot more than 15 dollars, so I figured if someone knew of a legit outfit that charges 15 bucks it would be a good share. I just dont want to be scamed.
Do a search on ebay. under 15.00 it worked for me and I"m on Telus.
Call either the "new" phone company or the old one......... like mentioned earlier and they will give you the code for free. It's not being cheap, it's called getting it from the right person..........
Hey thanks, I'll try ebay, I called T-mobile US but they wont give you the code until you have had the phone for 90 days. Its BS but they wont budge.
Why would you want to run it with Cingular? I mean, what's the point of having a Touch Pro2 if you don't have access to 3G/High Speed data?
Running my Touch Pro2 on EDGE would just piss me off if I was forced to do so all of the time.
I got the touch pro 2 from ebay, unlocked it from ebay too for 13 bucks, and works great.
But as somebody else said, it does not work with AT&T 3G, so I am pissed now! Not sure if I want to sell it, or just use with Edge network!

I also called tmobile for the unlock code. 48 hours it was in my email inbox.

Did you guys get the actual instructions emailed along with the code? Seems T-Mobile online are not as forthcoming with the code. I got an email telling me they sent my info directly to HTC requesting my code and that I would get an answer within 14 days. So far no code.
Did you call the local store or the toll free number online?

call the customer service at 611
I live in Germany, so I ordered mine with my TMOB account in the states. 611 won't work here, so I ended up calling their service center to order the phone, and they gave me the number to call for the sim unlock. Saw on another thread a sample of the unlock letter sent. I guess I will wait a couple more days since my phone is still in the mail and due this week. Hate to have to run a ROM flash before I get to play with this thing. Worked it out with the TMOB sales folks that I could get the code when they had a serial number for my phone, but still having to wait up to two weeks seems inconsistent compared to other folks' experiences.
Now that I mull this over - I'm gonna call them and ask for a faster unlock since other folks are getting the same. Thanks!
Well that was about as effective as a monkey fraking a football! Customer service is USELESS and has no method of contacting the Sim Unlock Department. Said to call back when I have the phone in hand, then they can possibly expedite the unlock code process.
Frustrating, but at least I know I can spend the ten bucks on cellunlock.net if they dork me around too long. =)

they usually say 48 hours or more so you don't bug them every 5 minutes, you get it usually in a day.
You have to wait 14 days from the purchase date to have the phone unlock. No exceptions!!!(because of TMo 14 day return policy).
Now, I don't mean they will take your money and you wont get your code, what upsets me is, on the front of their site it says -
All phones cost €15 (20% off - normal price €18) to unlock.

Nothing else to say, plain and clear, they will unlock any HTC phone for €15. FALSE
If you have a Desire, you pay your €15, you try what it says and it wont work. You then get an e-mail saying 'You need to use the new database, this costs €20 more'
I have then declined this, as I have the option, I was only going to unlock it to increase the phone value, rather than I need it. I feel sorry for those really in need, you don't really have a choice at this point.
Now, it wouldn't be so bad if when I declined and asked for a refund, it was just done... but it wasn't. 24 hours later and they still have my €15.
Does no-one else see that the way they are operating is wrong?
Who can I report this to? If a shop on the High Street advertised a TV for £449 and when I got to the till they took my £449 and then told me I had to pay another £600, I say I no-longer want the TV they then wont refund me, I could go to trading standards. Who deals with online scams?
Personally, I'm disappointed MoDaCo are linked to them, I went to them because their link is up their on every forum, I assumed they were a reputable site.
I've also had a bad experience with them.
When I was unlocking my Hero their server was down originally. Got an online tech and he spoke to me for a few seconds then just ignored me. The next two days techs were all offline but then eventually the server was up, got my code and it didn't work. Logged another support call.
I actually figured out the problem myself in the end. That goodness, because my support call still hasn't been answered.
Overall very shoddy.
I thought they would be quite reputable since they are recommended on MoDaCo (site ran by the Paul, who rooted the desire).
hope you get it sorted soon!

I know, that's what disappoints me.
Was worried about the site after I paid €15 for an unlock code that did not work, then I read their forums...
Anyway I then paid the US$35 via papal this was middle of the night in India where I think they are based. Mailed them as well and refund & working code delivered in a few hours.
Not sure they are the best at communicating but I got a working code in a few hours for £23.51 so reasonably happy with that for an unlocked and flashed Desire
yes I was also annoyed that new phones are excluded from the deal. they also only query the database with new phones once every 12 hours. though the code did work in the end!
Sent from my HTC Desire using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
I bought the Desire unlocked, but I needed an unlock code for my Touch HD (which went to my GF once I received the Desire). Got it from HTCCode in a couple of hours (paid via Moneybookers, so the code is provided by email), and only paid EUR15, 'as advertised'.
What can I say, I was satisfied with their service... very quick answer considering I requested the code after their COB that day.
Yeah, you would be happy, you got the advertised price. To be honest, it's not the actual price I mind. If it just had all prices on the front page and you could look up the Desire to be €35, then it would be fine. It's that they charge you one price, then ask for over twice as much once you've already given them some.
And then, saying I will get my refund... but not giving it to me. I have started a Paypal dispute.
Have considered using their service, but will phone up t-mobile. they charge 15 pounds but the wait is slightly longer. No biggie.
have used them
hiya guys,
i have used them before to unlock my hd2. when i first registered i had the same problems as my code wasn't in the database.
i got in contact with htc code via messenger, guy sudan explained to me that they were waiting on a database update and my handset was fairly new so would have to wait a few days.
i received an email telling me that the database was up to date, then i was able to retrieve my code.
it isnt really the fault of the supplier but more a fault of htc not releasing an updated code database... the desire is a brand new phone, and imei numbers will not be in the database yet.
i would try adding the guy to messenger details are on the site, and he should be able to explain.
bear with them though as it is a good service, hes prob just waiting on the update.. and i know we are all a little impatient at times.
dan
Took 2 days for my code. keep emailing them, they do come through eventually and work OK.

I think you're missing the point. They are misleading people by saying they unlock ANY HTC PHONE for only €15 and then bump the price up €20 more... How is it not their fault that they are misleading people?
Im sorry that u had that kind of problem. Paypal dispute should be a solution.
My experience with them was very good. Got 2 unlock codes for my Hero and HD2 in a couple of minutes, although with the Hero, I had to flash another generic rom in order to get the unlock code to work
Currently in a paypal dispute with them over this. I asked nicely for a refund and got nowhere.
And this is the other point. When you suddenly ask for more money than you said it would be, if the other party declines, be good and just give them their money back! It's amazing they get away with it tbh.
I did my research before ordering. Knew I would have to pay 25 euros after reading their forums. Got the code 24 hours after sending the money. Good service in the end. They are slow but I've heard many people in the same situation as the OP get their money back before successfully getting their code. I agree its not like a proper pro outfit but they do deliver and you need to take into account that they are based in India... One happy customer here....

Well that'a the thing they are not stating it will cost extra if you just go off the website, which many people do especially when people seem to rate them so well on some forums
Similar story to you guys on here, paid the stated amount. did not work, to the forums and realised I had to pay more. They eventually refunded my original amount and took the new amount. Bit of drama really for something they could easily be stated correctly on their site.
the front page offer "Unlock any HTC phone [] for €15" is certainly a lie.
HTCCODE does work but better to check their forum first and as mentioned you need to pay directly to their email address using paypal for new sets like Desire.
I payed 15 Euro and then had to send another $25 which is a bit strange and leap of faith but in the end got unlock code for my HTC Desire and 15 Euro refunded. So it cost me just $25 (around £19).
Paypal told me on the phone they cannot give me a refund... but I just received an e-mail from them telling me they have overturned my claim and I have my refund!
I'm going to try HTCunlock.com for £20 instead!

You are correct, I bought one from Amazon at £99 without looking into unlocking it first. O2 have said I must use it with an o2 sim (PAYG or contract) for 12 months, then they will give me an unlock code which will cost £15. I bought a £10 PAYG sim to try the phone, and the signal in my area is so rubbish that the phone is forever 'searching' for o2 this was despite being told I'd get 4 bars on 3g, and 3 bars on 4g at home. Amazon have sent another phone for me to try, which arrived this morning, but it's exactly the same. Unless I can unlock the phone, it's a complete 'lemon' for me, and will be going back to Amazon. If anyone has had any success in unlocking one, I'd be incredibly grateful for any info, as from what I've seen playing about with the phone on wi-fi, its a good wee gadget and the price was good!
As you purchased the phone outright, without contract or subsidy. O2 have to unlock it.
I have raised a complaint with them as they gave me the 12 month nonsense also. Complaint is with the Exec team.

It does . . . but you can't combine the $100 uh-oh credit from the M9 with the discount above.
Ahh gotcha. I never had the M9's uh-oh protection so that explains it...
At 699 I was hesitant. At 599 its a deal. In for one Carbon.

Nice, code only valid in US
UK can use HTC100. Not sure of anywhere else

Code not valid in Germany.
Are you able to cancel the pre-order up until the phone ships? Are you charged right away or only once it ships? I'd be willing to lock in a pre-order on the unlocked edition under the assumption that it will in fact work for Verizon at the $599 price but only if I can cancel if we find that to not be the case.
Is there a time limit on how long the $100 off code will be valid?
Canadians can use the code HTCCA1008 to get a 100$ reduction and free shipping so its 900$ CAD instead of 1008$
None of the codes are working in Germany.
HTC10
HTC1008
HTCCA1008
This is not fair!

How did you get your uh oh credit? I tried thru the website and even chat but no one could help. Bummer that it doesn't stack.

The system seems buggy. I had to submit a couple of times, and then they emailed me someone else's code! But the one that came up on the screen worked, at least in the sense that the order form accepted it. It didn't give me another $100 off. But the T&C on the credit says it can't be combined with anything else.

Yes, but if you read my posts in the past you will see that all the Vouchers are not valid in Germany.
The only way to get 100$ or 100€ discount would be this website.
