I'm using WM6.5 on Manila 2.1 and when i click update now in the Update and Events , it say (updating... )
then the (updating....) disappears without no updating
but if i clicked the contact name and clicked update now ..only then his pic and status start to change and becoms updated
i loged out the facebook then logged in .. nothing changed
whats going on ??? i'm sure it was running normaly
any help ?

It happens to me too. I only made a backup in the past days. And now i can't update photo and status from contacts.
I have WM 6.1 btw.

its comes with the Pro black WM6 rom
its embedded into Windows Live... when you kick up Windows Live just press the green > and it will take you to the messenger section....
do i need to be connected via wifi before i have that option? coz currently i do not have that option.
i had tried to download the latest rom from dopod asia website to re flash my 838 into the official rom.
But the flash program doesnt allow me to do that....

no you dont... you can use any connection... as long as it has a valid internet connection...

just de-install your msn live and install this new version. It works perfectly for me..

I 've seen the same question in a lot of threads so I open a new thread for everyone to know.
Do not enable Battery Status tray icons in B&B 4.1 because it causes to crash WM6 on Windows Mobile screen while boot.
I think there is the same problem in every WM6 rom with BS v 1.04.203 beta4.
It cause me to reflash my P3300 twice to find out.
Newest build versions of Battery Status solve this problem.

As I understand, in last build loading sequences were moved to be lounched after device starts.
In my case counters turned on are crushes the device. There is no changes in new build.

Today i wanted to install a theme on my HD, so I#ve installed Diamond TF3D config, but everytime when i start TF3D config i get this Error: An unexpected error has occurred in Diamond TF3D Config.exe. Select Quit and then restart this program, or select Details for more information.

youve answered your own question in your signature.
the duttys rom has an updated core and when you read the blurb on TF3D config
it says it wont work above a certain version. im in the same boat, just have to wait for developer to update the app.

hey thanks for your reply but when i try to install this on my computer it doesnt install properly but i think i already have it on my computer since some other apps that need it work fine on the phone but its the tf3d that doesnt work. I put the latest energy rom the other day but maybe i am installing the old version of tf3d or something? if someone can post the latest version of it i can try downloading it and see if it works?

guys i am new with my i-mate jasjam(herm 100).. and i had a problem with my sms service. i was not able to send sms with any sim card. so i installed some titanium edition wm 6.5 rom(previously i had wm5). and when i sync it with my pc i found that it was a trial version and it expired now giving me a white screen written

now i am not able to access any thing on my i-mate. even active sync is not able to synchronize with the pc.
i only want install a good windows(rom) in it. so can any body help me with this problem of mines in easy way.like giving me a direct link to official rom and instructions to install it,,,

found the solution but still need help
i got the solution for expired version from another xda thread. hard reset did the job.
but i still need a official rom.wm 6 or latest.if dont than atleast please give me some link for wm5 official rom. i dont want to play with roms just give me a rom with which i can use my i-mate jasjam peacefully and also i can send sms to my friends... please help me thank you!!

Use this. It's a cab file so just install it, then run the program. Use your current network.
What happens sometimes is the proper settings are not set up, so you end up with your situation.
need that apllication for wm6

i tried that software but it is not displayed any where, while installing it gave an caution that it was designed for previous windows.
so i got the name of it (i;e htc your application name). ill search for it on net for wm6.

1 unzip the archive
2 copy flash.bin to sd card
3 insert it in your E1.Press vol up+reset
4 on screen it will show loading sd card update
5 wait till it flashes, it shd not take more than a minute
reset the phone and u got the build in yr device.enjoy

SMS fix.cab can be downloaded from F1 rom thread
please report any other bug if found

Just for information, on my phone, I was unable to get my position working with the built-in version of google maps. I've just installed the latest version, and it works like a charm.
I've also removed manila because of the non presence of misscall in the home tab, and get back to titanium.
here's a cap of my phone, using jmltoday plugin with a personal skin on the wm7 titanium project. If someone need the skin, I can upload it.

The internet explorer is not opening ... it asks if you want it to be default browser or not and then it exits.
And has anyone used GPS apps like Satguide-Destinator or MMI successfully?

Same problem for me with ie, but I've installed opera mini.
What kind of problems do you have with gps apps?
Just one thing about this rom, it seems to eat my battery a little bit too much fast.
Problems..
IE not working....not that it matters...who uses it anyway.Opera 10 is wayyy better.
MMI ( Mapmyindia ) doesn't show GPS signal. Same with the Destinator and Satguide.
The built in GPS viewer does connect with the GPS though.
So what's the procedure( A step by step guide will be welcome) to use GPS app in this phone?
My Asus P320 / P527 shows sat signals within 2-3 min.
Any suggestions.

But now the Device is displying in red letters " ERROR " and nothing else.
All apps are running smooth in the background but today screen is showing this ERROR screen?
I am using SPB shell 3.5.
No other themes or screen savers are installed.
Any suggestions/solutions?
And please somebody post the original-shipped ROM

Here is the screen shot.
The phone & PDA work fine.
I can exit the ERROR screen by using the hard keys!
Is it because of SPB Shell 3.5?
And still no success with MMI , Satguide works(but its map sucks).
Edit: MMI finally working.Don't know the reason.

MIC not working on low battery!

How to fix it?
