WM6 compatible wif bbconnect

Hello there guys.
I got some version of Windows Mobile 5 on my phone working with BB Connect but was wondering if any1 released WM6 working wif BB Connect yet ???
Apologise now if this has been asked b4 but cudnt find anything.

Try searching with a google advanced search - limiting your results to http://forum.xda-developers.com
Try say "BBconnect Trinity" or "Blackberry Trinity".
It's there I promise.

Graytraveler, try .84, 90 did not work for me with a stock Tytn II, but 84 did. Or I used Dutty's latest ROM from Xda-developers.com and .92 worked fine with that.
Hchickers, you can try this:
1. Hard reset.
2. Change device ID, from Start -> Settings -> System -> About -> Device ID to HTC_P3450
3. Install a registry editor, such as Resco (www.resco-net.com) or Total Commander (www.ghisler.com, I use 2.5 beta 3). Then edit
HKLM\System\Versions\AKU key, change whatever in there (like .0.0.3) to .0.4.2
Then soft reset and install Blackberry Connect. This method worked for some people (they weren't using 750, but still). It might work for you as well.

even if this isn't any help for people getting started with BBC on there trins, all new BBC updates get posted there.
p.s. If u dont have bb service from your network before!!, then bbc will never work.

internal GPS stopped working with P3300

Hey I've just install WM6 on my HTC P3300 and the GPS stopped working at all and navigation software doesn't even know that there is internal GPS what can I do ? (I dont reall care if I have to downgrade to WM5 just tell me HOW) Thank You guys !!!

Ok did you read the howto flash a ROM on ARTEMIS?
If yes you probably saw a line that told you to flash twice your P3300.
It often resolve flashing problems. GPS usually use COM4
You can test with free GPS software or with Navio software.

COM Ports
I may be wrong but I seem to have a vague recollection that in the US, the original ROMs use COM9 for GPS (can anyone confirm?). Flashing to a new rom will have changed this to COM4 so you may just need to reconfigure your GPS settings in the individual applications.

Official HTC WWE WM6 SHOULD work with any P3300, that couln't be yours that is not possible to run GPS part.

There is an ARTEMIS or HTC P3300 model that have no GPS inside ? or I've just misinterpret what you said maybe you can give me a link with a refresh WM5 software the will surely work with mine ?

No, All HTC P3300 have got a GPS inside (it remember M$ pub ) only some P3300 haven't got Wifi inside.
You should forget about WM5. I said that I am pretty sure WM6 should work with your GPS.
I can give you a WM5 but it is French orange switzerland version
Was your Wm6 an original HTC WWE version?

NO its a custom something (I dont know) but for sure not an original one please if you can send me link off and World wide English official HTC manufacturing version and i would install it ASAP

Try this...
Start -> Settings -> System Tab -> Clock & Alarms
On Time tab, make sure your time AND time zone is set correctly
Start -> Settings -> System Tab -> Regional Settings
On Region tab, make sure your region is set correctly
Start -> Settings -> System Tab -> External GPS
On Program tab, make note of GPS Program Port
Download & Install VisualGPSce
http://www.visualgps.net/VisualGPSce/VisualGPSceInstall.CAB
Run Visual GPSce
Go to Connect -> Serial port
Set Port to that in "External GPS" setting above and Click OK
If the red dot in the bottom right flashes then your GPS is ok! You may just have to wait for a lock (look for QuickGPS too).

Hey about the GPS solution its not working it says "could not initialize communication buffer size" than when i press OK another windows pops up and says "Unable to open port please close the application accessing thecommuinication port" and i press OK and nofting change can you help me with that .... thanking you in advance!!!

Did you reinstall the official ROM version?

Hey when I try to install the ROM WWE after I press the update button it sends me in a white screen and than he gives me ERROR 260 means cant connect with the device what should I do
p.s. by the way my operation system is Vista so just let you know if there is any kind off significance to the subject

When I try to install it without memory card he gives me new error after 2 percent says ''INVALID MODEL ID" this utility can't be use on your PDA ... bla bla bla ... !!! you have any king of advice hint or any kind off something helpful

Try hard reset
First you can try to hard reset your device (pressing the 2 soft key and reset at the same time) You will get a message, press the green phone button. If this does not resolve your problem... you can read first post in the forum, to learn how to flash a new ROM. Does your gps ever worked ?

Ok, the best thing to do is to CID unlock your device (I thaught you already done that)
Read this Thread carefully it will explain why!http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=308242
Then use only this to CID unlock your device : http://rapidshare.com/files/119852558/Artemis_USPL.rar.html
After that reinstall the original HTC WWE ROM.

Your problems are from flashing from vista, there are a lot of threads about this, but basically you have to piss about untill you have found out how to install a bunch of old xp drivers and then no more 260 errors. When you have done that you can tell us all here just how you did it and post the drivers again because they are getting harder and harder to find.

guys i am new with my i-mate jasjam(herm 100).. and i had a problem with my sms service. i was not able to send sms with any sim card. so i installed some titanium edition wm 6.5 rom(previously i had wm5). and when i sync it with my pc i found that it was a trial version and it expired now giving me a white screen written
"this concludes the beta test of this software release. thank you very much for your time and effort in helping make this a great product for our costumers.
to obtain a newer release or further info, please revisit the web site that you used to obtain your current beta release."
now i am not able to access any thing on my i-mate. even active sync is not able to synchronize with the pc.
i only want install a good windows(rom) in it. so can any body help me with this problem of mines in easy way.like giving me a direct link to official rom and instructions to install it,,,

i got the solution for expired version from another xda thread. hard reset did the job.
but i still need a official rom.wm 6 or latest.if dont than atleast please give me some link for wm5 official rom. i dont want to play with roms just give me a rom with which i can use my i-mate jasjam peacefully and also i can send sms to my friends... please help me thank you!!

Use this. It's a cab file so just install it, then run the program. Use your current network.
What happens sometimes is the proper settings are not set up, so you end up with your situation.

need that apllication for wm6

i tried that software but it is not displayed any where, while installing it gave an caution that it was designed for previous windows.
so i got the name of it (i;e htc your application name). ill search for it on net for wm6.
please if get it from some where so do post the link. thanx a lot.

1 unzip the archive
2 copy flash.bin to sd card
3 insert it in your E1.Press vol up+reset
4 on screen it will show loading sd card update
5 wait till it flashes, it shd not take more than a minute
reset the phone and u got the build in yr device.enjoy

please report any other bug if found

Just for information, on my phone, I was unable to get my position working with the built-in version of google maps. I've just installed the latest version, and it works like a charm.
I've also removed manila because of the non presence of misscall in the home tab, and get back to titanium.
here's a cap of my phone, using jmltoday plugin with a personal skin on the wm7 titanium project. If someone need the skin, I can upload it.

IE not opening
The internet explorer is not opening ... it asks if you want it to be default browser or not and then it exits.
And has anyone used GPS apps like Satguide-Destinator or MMI successfully?
If yes then please provide settings-tweakings if any.

Same problem for me with ie, but I've installed opera mini.
What kind of problems do you have with gps apps?
Just one thing about this rom, it seems to eat my battery a little bit too much fast.

Problems..
IE not working....not that it matters...who uses it anyway.Opera 10 is wayyy better.
MMI ( Mapmyindia ) doesn't show GPS signal. Same with the Destinator and Satguide.
The built in GPS viewer does connect with the GPS though.
So what's the procedure( A step by step guide will be welcome) to use GPS app in this phone?
My Asus P320 / P527 shows sat signals within 2-3 min.
Any suggestions.

GPS working...I first connected - locked the GPS viewer in the Utilities and then launched the GPS app.It worked for me.
But now the Device is displying in red letters " ERROR " and nothing else.
All apps are running smooth in the background but today screen is showing this ERROR screen?
I am using SPB shell 3.5.
No other themes or screen savers are installed.
Any suggestions/solutions?
And please somebody post the original-shipped ROM

The phone & PDA work fine.
I can exit the ERROR screen by using the hard keys!
Is it because of SPB Shell 3.5?
And still no success with MMI , Satguide works(but its map sucks).

How to fix it?

HTC Connection Setup ?

I am wondering if there is a CAB out there for this, one with updatable database? Version 3.1 (build 2011.1826)
Reason I ask, is many custom ROMs out there do not have the updatable database version, and do not have my settings (yes to lazy to add manually).
I want to add this CAB to a custom ROM and have it work to get my setting automatically.
Getting each chef to cook it in is out of the question, so I wonder if I can install the CAB myself after flashing of a custom roms?

same Question, I can only get edge with one rom, not even with others that say they have 3.0. tried everything in manual settings, I don't know what I'm missing that it's getting..

That link is now broken.
The closest I got is HTC Connection Setup v2.7 in the SysConSetupTopaz27.cab found in this post.
EDIT: Finally found it and posted the cab here: HTC Connection Setup PPC v3.1.2016.2829.cab.
