Remove lockscreen

Alright so I'm dumbfounded
I removed htclockscreen only to find out that I get the aosp lockscreen
How can I skip the slide lockscreen and go straight to the pattern unlock?

I believe that you have to have a lock screen and there is no way to bypass it. Then again, I could be wrong because man is fallible.
edit: I am using MIUI right now so it is not possible for me to check... apparently, according to these guys it is a HTC thing... wouldn't take that as gospel though.

I can bypass it completely. But I can't cut out the slide to unlock
If I knew where the aosp lockscreen was located I could try ripping it out, but I don't know where to look. I'm afraid its embedded somewhere in the framework

That would be interesting. Apparently it has been tried before, but because the results are no where to be found, it's probably not possible. Then again, there are people much smarter than I am who are trying this. That post was from about 2 weeks ago, so who knows....
Bypassing completely is easy, but doing what you want apparently is difficult. My roommates continuum does it without a hitch apparently... I am starting to believe it is an HTC problem.

Gotta love HTC tho but the weird thing is, and where I got the idea. Was from my touch pro, I could accomplish this but it was a aosp Rom. I'm running a z Rom currently

Found a few apps on the market. One was called no lock
Seems that none can skip past the slide to unlock screen and go to pattern lock or pin lock. They just go straight to OS after you press the power button.

I found out why they do this
Because the pin/pattern lock is tied to the factory reset so to down the chances that u wipe the phone in ur pocket they put a secondary slide to unlock

Hacking incredible

My friend allowed someone to hack his phone yesterday using unrevoked. I want to help him, however I need help. The hboot is the only screen that comes up when I press volume down with the power. When I choose reboot all I get is the stock htc incredible screen. When I choose recovery the screen turns black with white bars down the side then it stays in that state. Is there any hope for him? If I use sdk tools could someone help me with the commands necessary?

Sounds like the recovery is for a different type screen. Did you use the latest unrEVOked version? It accommodates both type screens.

Black with white bars in indicative of using the AMOLED version on a SLCD screen. There is hope, you need to search for SLCD recovery.

The older versions of unrevoked required a custom recovery for SLCD, the newest one does not (and your white bars are the symptom of just that). Try making sure you have the newest Unrevoked and try again.

This seems to be the pic your looking for you can make your own splash just edit pic to what you want resize to 480x800 then covert to .img and rename it to splash1 then place in blank pd98 and install thru hboot.
This is a blank PD98IMG just place pic in it after you edited it.

If I'm not mistaken its an advertisement and there should be a skip ad button in upper right corner after the 5 second count down.

startup login screen?

I was wondering if u guys knew about a mod that would enable a lockscreen every time the phone boots up, something just like in a normal computer system os like windows, something where i can put a real password, not a simple pin and preferably something you can't get past

Guys can u help me, my samsung galaxy s3 got blank screen from starting...
But, its start like usual, can unlock screen, notification, play music... i think screen touch all is O.K just the blank screen make me suck... how to solve this problem guys?

Can you be clearer. What do you mean by all blank? Is it all white, all black? Or simply don't have anything on your homescreen showing?
Also, when does it happen? And does it go away (you mentioned you can use your apps and such)?

What ROM are you on? If custom, did you turn off boot screen?
