[Q] cyanogen camcorder setting?

how do i change the videos to record in 480p....id rather have fps vs resolution...i cant find the setting...thanks

custom
...whats custom

and how can i change it?

ive been searching and havent found anything.......any ideas anyone? what about using the htc camera .apk?

After you select custom you can go up to the settings button (top) and scroll about 3/4 of the way down the list and you will find 720p along with a ton of other settings. Google those to see what resolutions they are.

i cant find the settings you are talking about.. i click custom...nothing pops up and i cand find a settings button anywhere

After clicking on custom go back to settings and you will see the other formats are unlocked. Now he said to google search what those formats really mean.

The settings button is at the top it's a small circle. It would be above all other on screen buttons.
It is right next to the aw icon.

Test screen press

Hi can someone here test if you see a red violet spot on screen when pressing a little harder in the bottom corner of the screen right above the search button. It only does it in that corner more visible on a white screen for me and not anywhere else. So I'm just wondering if this is normal.

I see no spot on mine... just tried it

It's just like when you touch a regular pc lcd monitor, you have to press right above the search button where the off starts.

Did that... still no dot and I can feel the screen giving way. Pressing pretty hard

[Q] Swipe for screen shot

i have looked but could not find what i was looking for.i have an sgs3 from sprint,stock.the swipe for screen shot worked then stopped working.i dont know if an app or setting caused this.i have the feature checked in options,but still no luck.can anyone help.if this has been discussed,please direct me to where.thank you

Idk but as an alternative, you can just hold home+power and it'll take a screenshot. Did you debloat your rom? Maybe you removed the motion apk?

nope,everything still stock.thought is was an app i downloaded or something because i noticed i could only change my lock screen pic through the stock gallery app.tried unselecting and reselecting the feature and resetting the phone etc,but nothing.

Try this, go to Settings, then Motion, then scroll to the bottom. There should be a section title "Hand Motions". Make sure "Palm swipe to capture" is checked.

yeah i have done so a few diffrent times and still nothing.i have been reading diffrent forums and trying to get as much info as possible.will just resort to the home button/power button to use the screen shot feature.thanks for the help

Funny thing is I was watching a review on the SG3 the other day and the guy in the video couldn't get it to work either

I gave up on using the Palm swipe method. Works sometimes and when it does I'm usually dragging a screen with it and taking a picture mid-animation. Home+ power works much better.

It always works for me, but it can be clumsy and change the screen when you touch it. It is a neat idea, imo, so I wouldn't give up. Did you try doing a reset after wiping cache?

Make sure your using the side of your hand. (Like karate chop) place it firmly on the screen then pause for a sec then Swype. works for me every time.

yeah i just use the power/home button.the swipe is cool when it works.tried to show it off and made a fool of myself...lol

first the volume down stopped working then after that the both volume buttons stopped working

You can buy new volume buttons from Ebay.
And you can google it howto put them in.

How exactly does it go in and which way round? One end has a short black flap and the other end has a slightly longer black flap. Inserting it either way round just makes it seem inserted at one end but it sticks out slightly at the other.

A free fix could be installing this app here and setting it as a widget. And for booting in and out of recovery just use advance boot options of your Rom if its available

[Q] cannot turn off message preview

Hi all,
I got an M9 last week and love it to death previously had the One Max.
I have gone through all the setting but cannot find a way to turn of the message preview function on the lock screen. when I go in messages the only option there is to change it from 1,2 or 3 lines can someone help me out here am I missing something?

thanks for that, its getting close but I don't have the middle option you have only the show all or show none, how did you get the middle one? Ideally what I want and I have it on my One max was when I get a sms that it get the little notification in the top left corner of the screen but I don't have the message contents viewable on the lock screen. any idea how to turn that bit off?

Sorry bro. I don't have m9 yet. Just wanted to see if I could point you in the right direction. I'm still saving money to buy that beauty and retire my m7. Hope you figure it out.

I'm not seeing an option either. You can turn off the pop up message but that seems to be it.

Guys, I think you must have a lock option (pattern/pin) in order to have the "middle" option to hide sensitive content

yeah I noticed that last night. little bit strange as you have been able to have the preview turned off with a pin/pattern just having a lock screen
why must things that work get changed lol
