In Manila 2.5 ROMs I get problems using the Audio Manager tab. After betwen 20-90 seconds of playing a song it stops and the only way to get it playing again is to restart the song. This is stopping me from using any 2.5 ROMs and is driving me nuts. I have tried multiple memory cards but no luck.
If someone can provide a working solution I will send $20 to the magician who can make it happen.
Thanks!
NOW SOLVED: some of the MP3 files were causing the problem. Deleted and put them back on one by to one to identify the problem files.

i'm getting a stutter in my audio once every song (at a random point during playback). it's just a short stutter but it happens every song and is very annoying.
i've tried the latest htc rom and the lates rogers rom thinking it might have something to with that... but it's not as it happens with both roms.
i've also tried loading the songs to the microsd via both the computer (directly) and the phone (through activesync) and that doesn't change anything... still get stutter.
i've tried playing back from both the mem stick and the phone itself and it's the same either way.
i've also tried playing back with both wmp and tcpmp (or whatever that other one is called). same in either program.
and i've tried loading some 128k files on there and get the same results. i was running 320k files before so thought maybe that was the problem. unfortunately not.
would really appreciate some help in this one!!!
thanks!
I had issues with the audiomanager since syncing with wmp. AM will search for files then crash with an error report. it then dislays an empty library. I upgraded from 6.1 to 6.5 but it doesn't make a difference. please advise.
im having the exact same problem and also experienced it on my touch pro 1...can someone please help bc it sucks to have an audio manager tab but not b able to use it...thanks in advance
My audio manager never worked from since the day I got it. It plays the song for about 10 secs then stops, I flashed couple roms and same problem, I just assumed it was hardware related.
Hello,
I have a BIG problem with HTC TF3D Manila 2.5 Audio Manager! All of a sudden this morning the storage card disappeared. After a soft reset is comes back but all my library files on the TF3D player is lost. So I move to the Audio tab and the library begins loading again. But for some strange reason, it stops abruptly showing no files and when I look for my storage card, its missing again.
Anyone else faced the same problem. This is driving me nuts!! Can someone please help me out? Do you think it has something to do with music files or a virus? I have not added any new music from the past week, so I dont see how that could be the problem.
Any pointers will be much appreciated.
Thanks!
Hey there.
I'm running Manila 2.5 (don't know if there's anything else you have to know..just ask ) on my HTC HD and I would like to use the build in music player. Windows Media player is working fine, but the standard one seems to have troubles finding the songs. It shows the songs with a length of 0:00. Meaning, it will skip all songs until it reaches the last one and then stop. After a soft reset everything is working fine until I reconnect it to the PC. Even if I don't change anything in the Musik folder.
I organized my songs like this: Storage Card/Music/Artist/Album/Song.mp3
At least most of them.
Anyone with the same problem or a way to solve this?
Thanks guys!
I have never been able to get my music tab functioning correctly on my device. Whenever I try to play a music file, it will play for about 1-2 minutes and then it just stops playing. It usually seems to happen around 1:45. It isn't just that it loses sound, the time stops counting up and everything. The only way to get it to start playing again is to actually stop the playback and start it over again. The problem only occurs when I try
to use the music tab. WMP, TCPMP, MortPlayer, etc are all fine.
This issue has gone on pretty much since I got my phone last year. I believe that at one time in the past it DID seem to get resolved but I have no idea what was different or what ROM I was running at the time.
Preventing the phone from turning the screen off (my first thought) does not appear to extend the time before it stops. Having the phone plugged in also has no effect. It happens using BT audio as well as the phone's speakers. This issue has persisted across multiple ROM versions and cooks. I have been running mostly EnergyROM lately but have also encountered it with Valkyrie and others.
If anyone has any good ideas on how to fix this I would be grateful. It has gotten to the point that I just ignore the music tab entirely if I don't actively remove it from Sense, but it would be nice to be able to use it.
I'm assuming you're playing your music off of the SD card? Does it behave the same when you play files from the onboard memory?
same here and yeah im running it off the SD card. help please
I too am having the exact same problem.
I have had the problem, but I found out that Opera was also always open when this happens, and I just assumed that the system was running out of memory, so I just play music when Im doing NOTHING else when using the Sense player, but the Alternative is to just use WMplayer or TCMP or Nitrogen
well sense the new cht has the music player on the homescreen i find it very nice and usefull and wmp does take up any memory while the htc sense doesnt..so yeah =/
