TIA
I have the same problem with my XDA iis after upgrading to WM5, audio is very jerky. Generally, the performance of the phone is very poor - it takes a long time to populate the list of programs in the today screen.

Does anyone have a patch fo Windows Media Player in Tuma 1.3? Under the Himalaya ports it worked fine but in the Wizard ports it's stuttery. It's the main reason I am still using the old Wizard ports.
If you press play and then press pause and leave it on pause for 30-60 seconds everything will play fine. It seems to need time to buffer.
ill give it a shot, the only reason i upgraded to WM5 tuma 1.3 is so that when i play mp3s i can lock the device without the WMP closing as in WM2003 or leaving the device unlocked when walking round listening to mp3s then having to close everything thats opened
Just wondered if anyone else was having a problem when playing music.
Seems to just be pausing randomly and sometimes it will be playing and then need to buffer. Alsooooo if I use audio manager it tends to crash the device.
Any known solutions without going back to the old roms?
Cheers
I 've also faced with this problem. Not only WMP but HTC Audio Manager.
Sometime while I play music. it occur an Error "Not enough space" or something like this.
but sometime after I reset my phone, the problem is gone.
I use a rom "ARTEMIS & LOVE WM6.1 ROM V34 - Build 20758.1.4.1 (Manila2D)"
has anyone had the same problem as I have with bluetooth stereo headsets?
when I pair up my device with the headsets and start listening to musich on windows media everything ist just fine, the problem is when I pause the music while the phone is in standby mode, when I press play again, nothing happens, it works again after I press the power button ..this is annoying, normally this shouldn't be happening....does anybody know what the problem is??? thanx in advance!
The bt3030, is that the dogtag one? Because I use that one without the problem you describe with my Dutch stock TP2.
yes thats the same one....the dogtag one... but I also have the BT620s also from jabra...and it has the same problem...if I leave the phone for longer than 5 seconds in pause it wont play again after I hit the play button...when I hit the power button then it will automatically start playing again...but its annoying to have to hit the standby button so it recognizes the phone again...are you using WM player or another player? or are you using the manila player?
Turns out I have the same problem...
Just tested it, and you are right! If you wait a couple of seconds it won't resume playing (using wmp). I don't have a clue about why though. I was already quite happy it worked (kinda) as on my HTC Elf avrcp didn't work most of the time and A2DP was also very patchy. Looks like HTC needs to look into their BT programming.
I've used Jabra with 3 devices already, and its the first time I experience this problem and its REALLy annoying cause you have to take the phone out of your pocket in order to turn on the screen so it resumes the music... it must be a problem with the bluetooth stack...but I have no idea about that..hopefully more people experience this problem and somebody finds a solution...
Another BT problem
But it should probably in a different thread. I sometimes experience a lapse in the BT connection: the headset and phone temporarily become disconnecrted so the audio is rerouted through the phone's speakers, which is quite embarrassing in a quiet train or library! The connection often is re-established after a few moments. Have you experienced this kind of behaviour?
yes I also have...but this usually happens when your listening the to music and receive a call...so the music is automatically silenced, then when you hang up the music plays again but it comes out through the speakers.....but only after calls....and only sometimes...yes its quite embarrasing, but I guess it can't work perfectly....i think the play button problem is worse...and I can't find anything in other threads....apparently we're the only ones that have this problem, or that have noticed it...maybe we should look in the TOUCH HD thread, or the diamond II threads....

I can assure you that TP2 is NOT alone. It's very common ONLY for HTC device. I have the same problem w/ ATT Tilt (HTC Kaiser) and Sony X1 (tested w/ MANY A2DP devices) and such problem was not happen to my Asus P525 and Eten M600. And I think I saw posts for the same problem for HD, TP1 and Diadmond too
I am new to this forum of wonderful people, wizards and cooks. I have a problem.
I just flashed my X1 with the Phoenix ROM. Everything seems to run just fine. However the only problem is that the moment the device goes into standby or the screen completely turns off, the media player simply switches off the audio by itself. This is happening with Windows Media Player, Nitrogen and Pocket Music. Is this normal?
Previously, the music used to be on even when the device screen was switched off using the Power button.
Please help/advise on what to do. I listen to lot of Music. Desperate to get this solved.
Thanks in anticipation.
Regards
sometimes i get this problem with coreplayer and sometime i don't. using valkyrie rom. weird
In Manila 2.5 ROMs I get problems using the Audio Manager tab. After betwen 20-90 seconds of playing a song it stops and the only way to get it playing again is to restart the song. This is stopping me from using any 2.5 ROMs and is driving me nuts. I have tried multiple memory cards but no luck.
If someone can provide a working solution I will send $20 to the magician who can make it happen.
Thanks!
NOW SOLVED: some of the MP3 files were causing the problem. Deleted and put them back on one by to one to identify the problem files.
