I own a China T5353 with wm 6.1 on it.A few days ago i try to flash a WM6.5 Rom ,but i took a wrong file .This file was for Hot D2 Diamond .This Phone has a higher Resolution and more CPU Speed.
Now i can turn on my phone but there is nothing on the screen.It seems to work because Active Sync works normal.I don`t know how to flash to the orig. Rom.The keykombination has changed.My phone is now shown as D2 PocketPC .If i press Volume Controls / EndButton /Power the Phone turns into another Mode (but i can´t see anything!)and windows show me a unknown USB Device.The drivers from IDT won`t work....
What can i do now?
Is it possible to enter the Boot Mode via Active sync?

I have a t5353 for tests and i try to install the WM 6.5.
The resolution is higher. I'm trying to install a release version of WM 6.5.

what pc system r u using? What version activesync, what exactly happens (or doesnt), which rom/language, did u cid unlock it (used uspl), etc.

hello again.thanks for the responce. my p3300 has the official wm5. i load the
wm06 (not official) one of the programs that i use in my job dosn't work propertly. so i have to restore in previus wm5. i download fro the site of htc the official wm6. in htc they told me that it is very easy so i could do it my self. i had only to conect the usb cable to the pc (windows xp) and run the file (wm6) i did it but when it start to install the wm6 the activesyng (ver 4.5.0) shut off and stoped the instalation. the screen turn to black. after that the p3300 started again but when i push the voice key and the power key to get in to the bootloader it doesnt work the screen becams to a multi color pixel.the htc told me that i have to replace all the inside hardware. thats all thanks a lot .

Ok, let me see if i understand u correctly, your specs give me no new questions they look ok. U have WM5 and want to run a program (from your work) which needs WM6 (wont run on WM5). HTC told you about the official WM6 update. This wont flash as activesync crashes, right?
With an official Rom you will not need to unlock the CID/SPL with USPL. But this goes only when you stick to your current language. i.e. a german WM5 is not allowed to be flashed into english. To do this you will need to USPL-unlock it 1st.
If the language is the same, it should work. Best is to do a hard reset 1st (2 soft buttons and soft reset, wait and press green/send.) Afterwards hook it on the PC (activesync want to start a newe partnership, click cancel, so u will be connected as guest).
Start the rom upgrade. Activesync should close and bootloader on the ppc will be started. This is a screen with many colours/stripes, which is normal but looks very bad and different from normal bootup.
Then the flashing will start, the screen on the ppc will turn white/grey and a scale will show you the percentage of the flashingprocess (similar to the screen of the pc). Wait patentiently and do not toch the ppc or disconnect (or expect a bricked device).
At the end, the ppc will reboot and take a while (longer then normal bootup) to initiate the boot for the 1st time.
If this wont work, then try to extract the upload file, put the ppc in boatloader mode, connect to pc and start the romupdateutility.exe directly.

i've flashed my HTC P3300 and it was done successfully (using USPL) but the language was Spanish, i searched a lot how to change it to english since i dont understand a word of it.
through one of the forums, i was told to set the SysLang = 1032 in registry to get the english language, i done so, now, the phone is stuck in Welcome (WM6.1) screen and nothing is happening, not even responding to power key.
I tried hard reset, it doesn't work, i tried entering to bootloader, it also doesn't work, also, i am not able to connect it to PC since i guess its not completed up.
Just got stuck with a brick, can you help please. Really needed!!!!!!

Maybe flashing ROM from memory card may help. Search Artemis wiki for micro card ROM flashing.
Hello, I guess I'm having the same problem...tried to flash but something went wong and now I have my htc p3300 blocked with the multicolor screen. It does not work, so I don't understand how I could start flashing rom by memory card. Could you be a little bit more detailed? Thanks in advance

After update to kozhura WM 6.1 R3, I decided to return to WM 5. Thereafter I wasn't able to enter in Bootloader mode anymore. What I did is installing the
M600_CHN_0170-winxp.exe by extracting renaming temp.dat temp.bin and copy this file and USB_DL_...exe on the SD Card. After copying both files I have tried to enter boot loader mode and it wasn't able to do so. By pressing Power + Reset and releasing Power, entering boot loader is not possible anymore. I also tried to enter in Bootloader mode by running M600 update software. Screen starts flashing, white light and then restart...enter in WM 5 again.
SO I have WM5 running now, I'm able to connect to Active Sync, but the Bootloader mode is not working anymore.. screen is flashing and then M600is restarting. I cannot make any update on the Pocket PC, even original image install is not possible anymore ? I cannot install also any other image ?
What to do ? Any ideas how to recover the bootloader ?
I think that the 170 ROM somehow overwritten the original bootloader and it is not recognizing the images anymore or something like this ?
How to recover the boot loader, so i will be able to install again WM 6.1 r3 ?

go boot loader mode before upgrade
but how do i do this?it isn`t in bootloader?(it shows a hp image up shows usb and down v1,08)

First important question: what upgrade did you try to do?
For iPAQ h2200 there is no cooked ROMs: WM5 or WM6x. This device can work only under branded WM2003se.
If you tried to do upgrade to any of cooked ROM like WM6.0 from different device like hx22xx by mistake, please try the following:
1. Go to HP www page and download the last available ROM upgrade (I assume English ROM)
2. Turn on iPAQ (don't carry the device doesn't boot properly) and place it to the cradle which should be connected to PC which has installed active sync software (please don't carry about lack of connection seen on active sync).
3. Run the ROM upgrade.
If you tried the HP upgrade and it stuck - just repeat them with the way described above.
Important - do not use blue tooth connection during flash !!! Only USB !!!

More precisely: WM2003 only - no SE upgrades for the h2210.
i upgraded the v1.10 original ROM from HP home site but now i solved the problem with mtty and ultra edith but now i have a nother problem i flashed again the ROM but its stuck on the loggin bar from startup it just fill the bar but windows doesn`t start i tryed again to flash and the problem still persist any sollutions?

As I understand you correctly - you restored your iPAQ into live using the last available ROM from HP site, which is WM2003 (thank you Menneisyys). The iPAQ worked fine and then you was trying to make another ROM upgrade - which ROM did you use?
I am asking because the ROM in version 1.10 is the most actual one and there is no any other ROM for this device. I assume that source of your problem is you are trying to use incorrect ROM. Correct me if I am wrong... If this is true - the solution is to restore your device into operational using the way as you did it before and stop to flashing your device - there is no another ROM to your iPAQ
the v1.10 but the problem is that after i flash the wm doesn`t start it just stay there stuck on the startup and i reflashed the device but still doesn`t start
how did u fix the stucked screen while booting? im searching for solutions for 30 mins now, but dind't find a way...

ok, for those with "same" problems like me:
i have windows 7 64bit. the rom flashing wasn't successfull on this machine. i did the same on my notebook with windows xp and it worked. before it said that it couldn't find my ppc. on the notebook it wasn't a problem.
i had these installation notes found anywhere:
1.) Go to the Vendor Website, and...
2.) Select the appropriate hyperlink for your model.
3.) Download the most recent BIOS version.
4.) Press the POWER + iTASK + CONTACTS + RESET buttons at the same time so as to enter the FLASH Mode
5.) Make sure your USB connection to the Cradle is hooked-up.
6.) Place your PDA in the USB Cradle.
7.) Stop the MS ActiveSync session on your HOST PC: CTRL-ALT-DELETE > TASK MANAGER > PROCESSES.
8.) Highlight WESCOMM.EXE and select "End Process" button.
9.) Run the file you downloaded from your Vendor in step 3.
10.) The PDA should now begin Flashing the iPAQ's ROM BIOS.

My Diamond is rebooting constantly no matter which ROM I install. I tried original HTC Roms as well as different radios and stock Roms from Orange.
I do not even know if it related to the upgrading or if my device is broken.
So maybe this has happened to you too and you know what to do??
It stops and reboots in the installing process of the rom. Most of the time when the first boot screen shines througn (either Windows mobile 6.1 or 6.5). I have my device security unlocked and Hard-SPL from Olinex is working fine.
So do you have any idea what I can try besides try and make the guarantee work.

Use this program that I attached.
First of all this program works with XP USB drivers(It works on vista if you change drivers ) and second you should disable active sync.
Go to diamond bootloader : Press reset + volume down.
In this program select USB port.
then CMD>task 29
It will format your bin and everything comes back to normal afterward.
Hopefully it will solve your problem
my phone run wm6.1, i downloaded dt39-UltimateROM-v3-MutliLangKB from this forum
- start Mirage_LV_1.8, click PDA button and select dt39-UltimateROM-v3-MutliLangKB
- click detect button. switch off phone to Emergency Mode, and it start flashing...
- after all, the label changed from green to blue,device reset and cannot boot to win, it halt at Samsung boot screen for long time
- i take battery out, and insert back, start again but still this problem

after flashing new rom always do hard reset. If any problem - do hard reset...
what if install harmful cab on i780 orange which lack key combinitions for Hard reset
I post here even it is to late because I had a problem of a spanish i780 that did not respond to key combintions of hard reset and boot mode. the only way to HR is by using code *2767*...... I forget it lol. But, when I installed an Arabic MUI cab on it the phone can't start so I have no way to Hard reset now since I can't access to dialer no more. and I can't flash by mirage since I can't use fn+Enter on this wm6 orange tweaked rom phone.
The only Solution for me was to download this rom ziddu.com/download/8450774/i780PDXIB1_Upgrader_VISTA.rar and I used wincotroll program from 4shared and samsung xp driver (using windows 7) then I tweaked the rom installer by draging a loop icone from wincontroll (software tweak tab) to the bottom of rom installer and clicked show then an emergency box appeared ... I checked this box (no need to check charger battery or phone connected boxs) and reset the phone or rebooted it. >>>>>>>>>>>> the phone started flashing and horaaaaay I have wm6.1 now and both key combination are working now.
I was able to flash the phone again and again testing for the best rom now I have 6.5 rom that works very very fine for me
NB: I searched the inside and outside of the Web with no results so I applied this tweak as I do to my omnia i900 when facing (incorrect software essage)
I am sure this can help someone else who still have orange wm6 useless rom on his i780.
