Tilt 2 Bluetooth Issue - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Gentlemen,
I have searched the forums and found 1 thread about this but there wasn't a resolution. Hoping that bringing up an old topic someone will have found a fix.
I have Win7 X64 on my laptop. Wanting to pair my laptop and the phone for ... well everything. When I go through the pairing process I connect the two, put in the code and then the driver installation section starts.
It fails on "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" with driver not found. Has anyone else seen this and found a fix/workaround for it

I have the identical 'problem,' although there seems to be no consequence of this driver not being installed. Everything I've wanted to use bluetooth for so far is fine... activesync, hands free, stereo audio, etc. Perhaps I just haven't used a feature yet that requires the Bluetooth Peripheral Device driver.
Still, I'm anal retentive and I'd like to get the driver installed properly if possible.

d
can anyone offer any help?
Hi there, since I don't have any computer with windows vista, I wouldn't wanted to answer, but, since I also have been int this situation (when I asked for something else), well, here we go.
In your place I would first test the headphones with another computer, at least one that doesn't have vista, XP is well proven with bluetooth devices, as long as you do follow the exact instructions of the external BT dongle (if this is the case), why? Well XP stack does not work on many BT devices, so the maker of those, warns and explains you how to disable XP drivers and how to install theirs.
I've tested my HT820s long time ago, with a USB BT dongle (about 9 euro) and they worked the best I ever heard (considering that I bought them from a chinese Ebay seller and I'm pretty sure that they are a fake, or should I say, a copy of the original), the stack used for this BT dongle is a very well known one, the bluesoleil stack.
Then, you could pass on and try with vista, check your BT interface maker's site, check (if any) vista driver updatings, etc.
Hope this helps.

Serial Port but no Activesync?

I'm pretty sure i have everything setup on the pc right. Serial port is configured in WIDCOMM drivers as COM5. Activesync is setup to listen for COM5.. but on the ppc all i see is a serial port selection in the bluetooth mgr and not activesync.. Anyone have any tips to get it working correctly?
It isn't real clear from your post, but I assume you are trying to set up bluetooth sync.
Some avenues for you to explore:
Have you set up a partnership through USB connection? If not, this should be first on your list of things to do.
Have you paired the devices? Turn your PPC to discoverable in bluetooth settings and have your PC search for new devices. The wizard should pick up the PPC and walk you through the pairing process.
Does your bluetooth module support the correct services? Older bluetooth dongles and radios might not support syncing pim info.
I have the exact same Problem.
Did everything like it is described here in the forums. Firewalls and antivir deactivated. Used the right COM ports. Settings in Active Sync match. Pairing successful. The WIDCOMM-Driver even renames the Serial Port to ActiveSync after pairing. But even after all that, if I'm trying to get a Connection from my phone by using the ActiveSync on my phone with "connect via bluetooth", I cannot see ActiveSync there, just Serial Port. Switching on the Beam (like in some boards suggested) had no success either.
I tried reinstalling all. I tried my desktop PC and my Laptop (same problem). ActiveSync does know the XDA when I'm using a cable. I tried deleting the profile and create it again. I tried the Microsoft bluetooth stack instead on my laptop. I tried using another COM-Port. I tried deleting the pairing from the registry on the phone.
I have a XDA Neo / HTC Prophet with WM6 ProphetTouchIX, an Anycom BT-200 Bluetooth Dongle with WIDCOMM based driver. WINXP SP2 with the newest Security updates and Active Sync 4.5.
If anyone has any new suggestions, please post them here. If you have the exact same problem, post here, what you've tried to solve it, maybe we can at least find out, what's causing it.
found this one here:

seems to be the same problem.
if you have Touch IX installed, you need the bluetooth fix from here:

worked for me. Give it a try!

Bluetooth Gamepad

Hi,
I bought the Bluetooth Gamepad from Chanipus. There are some remainders, even though the manufacturer is gone bankrupt. But the drivers are undependable. On some devices they are working, and on others but same devices drivers doesn't work.
I tried it with my Touch HD and the Diamond of my wife. Both devices say "Sorry! We don't support this Bluetooth Gamepad." But according to some Forums, on some HD and Diamond this Gamepad works...WHY
So I thought about writing a new driver or frontend or whatever, but I never wrote a program for Windows Mobile. Not even a driver at all...
Maybe it is possible to do some kind of reverse engeneering of the latest driver and then do some changes to the program?!
I don't know...but this is a developer-forum
Kind regards,
Toby
Keep it up!
problem is that reverse engineering generally takes months of intense work
luck
and of cause the device itself for testing

HTC Touch Pro 2 (TP2) and the BGP-100 Bluetooth Gamepad PLEASE HELP!

I am so frustrated! I just received my MSI BGP100 Bluetooth Gamepad yesterday & for the life of me can not get this thing working. (also known as the chainpus BGP-100 - it also says Meganet on the box). This company appears to be out of business, so I am really at everyone's mercy to get this running.
So far, I have been able to pair the gamepad with my phone & install the WinCE_Widcomm driver (this is after I installed & removed the Windows CE MS drivers - which didn't work).
I am using the 1.50 version of the gamepad application. When it opens, I go to connect to the gamepad (by selecting "active gamepad") It looks like it's going to connect, but I just get "connection error"
If anyone can steer me in the right direction, I would be soooooooo grateful. (can't wait to use it to play some vintage NES games!)
bump for a good question.
I'm working on this too. So far no luck. Anyone get it working yet? I cannot get it to connect to the joystick. The weird thing is that if I pair it manually it connects, but the program will still not allow it to connect and none of the buttons work.
ditto
worked fine on my touch pro though

Was just thinking about purchasing this for my Tilt 2. I have read reports about issues with Win Mo 6.5... Having second thoughts if it won't work.
No one has found a fix for this yet?
I think it has somethig to do with the bluetooth stack, IDK if there is a fix or a work around.
i did a whole lot of looking around again trying to get the gamepad to work with the tp2
i found a thread somewhere that had a bgp100 driver 0.9 written by a certain larry bank for bitbank software.9 i had to pair the gamepad to the tp2 first. open the progy and tell it which serial port to use (com2). it works great, well almost. the d-pad and start button work great. all the other action buttons all map to the same hex value. thats where i get stuck... any ideas? i hope this helps yall... i made it this far so it works with the stack or larry bank figured something out... good luck to all of you.

Vista Sideshow, Problems!

Ok, first off, i am hoping someone somewhere has experience of using the sideshow for windows mobile on their touch pro II.
I am experiencing a lot of problems, mostly i cant get it working at all. The problems start when i pair the device over bluetooth!
When i pair vista installs all the drivers it needs but cant find the "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" drivers, and then when i explore the services vista finds for my touch pro 2 the sideshow box is there but un-checked, and then i check it and apply, and it has the same problem with not being able to find a peripheral device driver.
I then found the universal Bluetooth dotNet Sideshow drivers, and they installed successfully (i think). But now no device appears in the sideshow control panel in vista, even though in device manager is shows "HTC Touch Pro2 T7373" under the Windows Sideshow category.
Has anyone got this working? or has anyone encountered these problems? I would really like to see how sideshow is on my phone. Any help would be gratefully appreciated!
Ok, so i have solved it, even though over 45 of you lot looked and had no help, thanks for looking though. The solution was that the "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" that remains unfound needs the driver updating in the way outlined here:
http://www.computers.nepalesemap.com/index.php?topic=3.0
Then the sideshow application on the phone finds the vista machine. Then the wanted gadgets can be activated on the pc.
My hope of using this as an "inteligent" remote control and more is and was valid, apart from the limit of support and development for the mobile sideshow package. It works, but it crashes every time a large list is presented. I have no doubt this is because it is a preview release, but the date of the 0.01 version is dating back all the way too the 20th January 2009; and there seems to have been no updates to the mobile client since.
Does anyone in this vast comunity use sidebar and not have this crashing problem? and also is there anyone here with any news on the development of this product as i am still keen and interested!
