I'm using HTC Trinity WM6 and wish to use my old Stowaway universal Bluetooth keyboard working? i cannot find driver for WM6. anyone have it?
please help!! i love my BT keyboard and wish to get it work again.
thanks
Attached is the driver I use for my Kaiser WM6/6.1, dunno if it'll work on your Trinity or not.
If not here is the drivers page: http://corporate.igo.com/support/Drivers.asp. Just choose your manufacturer and model.
Note that WM6 comes with basic keyboard drivers -- you only need to install a driver if you want to use special functionality such as customized keys. I use the built-in drivers on my Kaiser with a BT keyboard (not the Stowaway, but supposedly compatible).
htc tytn II and sierra bt keyboard
everybody,
trying to connect / use my new sierra bt keyboard with my htc tytn II and nothing works,.... if i go through the htc the keyboard is detected, asks for a security code, does not recognise the one i put in, (although the instructions say pick one of your choice), and does not connect.
if i go through the keyboard CAB installed on the htc, still cannot connect,.... i am not exactly a 'newbie' but if someone could give a step by step direction on how to get this to work, i would be very grateful,....
thanks,
ek
sorry everyone, i used elyspar's CAB file on my htc tytn II,.... thanks for your help,....ek
found a vid on youtube very helpful,.... it's actually quite simple to connect, so maybe i need to retract, i am a newbie,....
here's the link, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8HAge9yJu4
no functionality though, just basic input, good for emails / word, but limited,....
guess i have to install the driver on my kaiser somehow,....
Hi everybody, can you tell me which driver i have to install for my Niki? It's not on the list...
Thank you very much.

I could use an Apple Alu BT KB with HTC TyTN (not II). Paired. Without any special driver. Remember to press Enter on the KB after the code. Now I have a new Touch HD and I get it paired but nothing happens clicking on the keyboard...
I will start installing drivers which I find here suggested and will report.
iGo stowaway BT keyboard and WM6
Hello all,
I originally posted this message in a Blackstone forum, but as this problem probably relates to WM6 in general I thought I would post here
I have an igo bluetooth keyboard and I am using Blackstone phone (running the usual WM6.1 proffessional. I installed the igo software and everything worked fine except that phone crashed a lot. Not so useful. I then uninstalled the software and paired the keyboard using the onboard Bluetooth keyboard drivers. All worked well for one run through and I was able to type away. However I have not got the thing to work again since, even after re-pairing the devices. Does anyone haev any thoughts about what I might be doing wrong?
Thanks.
Tom
Hello Guys, partly not to the topic hear....
I have an igo stowaway keyboard and a travel mouse and i have been using them with my fusi n560 (wm 6.0). Now I bought a Nokia 5800 mobile phone with symbian s60v3 touch. The keyboard came with multiple driver including both wm and symbian versions, but the mause came only with wm driver. Now the question is: do you happen to know how could I use my mouse with my symbian device? Sorry for asking symbian related question here....
Special Characters and the Sierra Stowaway
I have previously used the Sierra Bluetooth Keyboard and it worked flawlessly on my T-Mobile Wing running WM5... I recently tried to port the same driver suggested by ek... (PPC5) to the T-Mobile HTC Touch Pro2, WM6.1.
It works on all keys, including the function keys, but cannot produce the specialty characters on the 5th, number-row, i.e., [email protected]#$%^&*()
Everything else seems to work fine... anybody come across a fix for this?
Thanks!
JSS
I've been interested in acquiring an Apple Wireless Keyboard for my PDA too.
But from skimming other people's post, looking at what was successful on the internet (e.g. the guy on youtube with the Mio who paired with the Apple BT Keyboard), it seems that all the success stories come from people running WM5/6
Anything 6.1 and above seems to not work in general, although you have some success stories like from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=486595
Has anyone successfully paired with 6.1-6.5?

I have similar problems with my Samsung Omnia, WM6.1 and the German Stowaway Keyboard (QWERTZ) with the driver 4.51.
Just the keys !$& are not working.
Could there be a workaround like using ASCI numbers?
I tried ALT+33 to get a "!" but had no success.
Does anybody else has some suggestions?
Thanks,
Sigi

I solved my problem:
I installed the English driver 4.52
(I have an English ROM and use a German Keyboard)
The driver was changed from version Ger4.51 to Eng4.52 on several places and I think they solved some Bugs.
I resetted my Omnia after the installation.
Because the problem still existed, I resetted the Omnia once again, while the Stowaway keyboard was selected in the keyboard menu.
After that reset all the characters worked like the should.
Hope that helps.
I have installed the driver for wm6 for the Celluon laser keyboard onto the TP2
The programme installs, the Projector Keyboard appears in the list of keyboards, but when I try and search with Bluetooth for the keyboard I get an error message saying
"the security account database contains an internal inconsistency”.
Can anyone help?
(It worked fine on the Touch HD).
Thanks
A friend was clearing his house and throwing one of these away, he'd had issues getting it working with various pieces of kit. I've tried it on both the TP2 and Dual Touch and get problems with both.
On the TP2 I get the same internal inconsistency error and the dual touch won't even connect; despite the dual touch being on the official list of hardware. It's worrying that Celluon still only have WM 6.0 drivers and haven't updated to say whether they work on 6.1 (should do really).
same error message with the htc hd2 :-( i´m pretty angry....
can´t anyone help??
greets,
mike
worked on wm5 and wm6 (I believe)
Hey -
the celluon worked (albeit without the mouse ability) on the x51v wm5 (both widcomm and MS drivers) ... and I believe it worked as a keyboard on wm6 (CC20) rom... but now under wm6.5.3 (carbon omega arirreak rom) (MS bt drivers, i believe) it doesn't work. Won't even pair.
Such a shame that such a cool product can't support the celluon company. Are they broke? bankrupt? no updates, no responses to emails...
wish they would release the damn driver... or we could find a way to make it HID compatible... I'm going to switch to widcomm bt drivers... and give it a try.
-on a side not, apparently at CES this year they had a similar device, but instead of a fixed laser keyboard projection, they had a pico projector so you had a virtual 10" touchscreen projected... looked waaay cool!
prob not bt compat though...
Ok, first off, i am hoping someone somewhere has experience of using the sideshow for windows mobile on their touch pro II.
I am experiencing a lot of problems, mostly i cant get it working at all. The problems start when i pair the device over bluetooth!
When i pair vista installs all the drivers it needs but cant find the "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" drivers, and then when i explore the services vista finds for my touch pro 2 the sideshow box is there but un-checked, and then i check it and apply, and it has the same problem with not being able to find a peripheral device driver.
I then found the universal Bluetooth dotNet Sideshow drivers, and they installed successfully (i think). But now no device appears in the sideshow control panel in vista, even though in device manager is shows "HTC Touch Pro2 T7373" under the Windows Sideshow category.
Has anyone got this working? or has anyone encountered these problems? I would really like to see how sideshow is on my phone. Any help would be gratefully appreciated!
Ok, so i have solved it, even though over 45 of you lot looked and had no help, thanks for looking though. The solution was that the "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" that remains unfound needs the driver updating in the way outlined here:
http://www.computers.nepalesemap.com/index.php?topic=3.0
Then the sideshow application on the phone finds the vista machine. Then the wanted gadgets can be activated on the pc.
My hope of using this as an "inteligent" remote control and more is and was valid, apart from the limit of support and development for the mobile sideshow package. It works, but it crashes every time a large list is presented. I have no doubt this is because it is a preview release, but the date of the 0.01 version is dating back all the way too the 20th January 2009; and there seems to have been no updates to the mobile client since.
Does anyone in this vast comunity use sidebar and not have this crashing problem? and also is there anyone here with any news on the development of this product as i am still keen and interested!
Gentlemen,
I have searched the forums and found 1 thread about this but there wasn't a resolution. Hoping that bringing up an old topic someone will have found a fix.
I have Win7 X64 on my laptop. Wanting to pair my laptop and the phone for ... well everything. When I go through the pairing process I connect the two, put in the code and then the driver installation section starts.
It fails on "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" with driver not found. Has anyone else seen this and found a fix/workaround for it
I have the identical 'problem,' although there seems to be no consequence of this driver not being installed. Everything I've wanted to use bluetooth for so far is fine... activesync, hands free, stereo audio, etc. Perhaps I just haven't used a feature yet that requires the Bluetooth Peripheral Device driver.
Still, I'm anal retentive and I'd like to get the driver installed properly if possible.
There is a driver currently under beta testing (probably soon to be released), that allows us to connect Bluetooth input peripherals to our TP2.

There are a few demo videos on Youtube, see for eg.:

What do you guys think of that? It is stated that this works with other Broadcom Stack devices as well.
Why do you need a driver? All WinMo 6 devices I've seen have built-in HID profile BT support. I have an ancient Freedom Universal Keyboard that I've used on the Tilt, Fuze, and Tilt 2 right out of the box.
hi 3waygeek!
that's true,
yet it doesn't support a mouse.
regarding the keyboard, I've seen many complains about the think outside driver being obsolete, or not working on some devices.
