I tried to boost my phone reception by sticking a wire into the external antenna port.
it boosted the reception.
but now, when i take the wire out of the antenna port, the internal antenna doesn't work. it won't pick up any reception.
when i go into winmo's admin settings, test mode, my 'basic info' says:
PCS1900: Idle
Rx PWR:93: Rx qual: -
Rx Lev: 14, Tx lev: -
Temp: 122 Batt: 194 LNA:0
anyone know how to get the internal antenna working again?
thx

I have recently purchased a cable, from pc-mobile.com, to connect my Orange M2000 to a Garmin Etrex GPS, but the sotware (OziExplorer, GPS Tuner, VitoNavigator, etc.) just keeps saying that no data is being received (incoming beams have been disabled).
The cable was advertised as being suitable for an XDAIIs and I was wondering if anybody knows of any differences between the devices/COM ports.
My other thought (though it seems a little silly) is that the Garmin only outputs at 4800 baud and that the M2000 is unable to work at such a slow speed. The slowest selectable speed in Active Sync is 19200.
ROM Version: 1.31.00 WWE
Hi
Try disabling "receive all incoming beams" in "settings" -> "Connections".
Have fun
Mann, your speed at 4800 is correct. It may be a faulty cable, it shouldnt be too hard to check using the pinouts for rx, tx and ground. The only other thing is if you have an external keyboard driver loaded this will need disabling as most are on by default.
Sorted...
This morning I have received an e-mail from the people at pc-mobile:
"WE have managed to get hold of an XDAIIs and discovered that one of the ground pins used with XDA1 and XDA2 (and GXDAP) had been used for something else and therefore GXDAP cannot be used.
We are changing all GXDAP ONCE AGAIN (this happened from XDA1 to XDA2) so that it is compatible with all 3 versions."
In conclusion if anybody needs to connect an Orange M2000 to a Garmin e-trex have a look at www.pc-mobile.com.
It may have taken a month and a half, but at least there is now a solution!
Is it possible to change the frequncy range under 87 mhz to 86 or 85 or so on. couldt this be done by another software or a reg hack?
Lol, this was possible with my old portable radio, I was able to pick up some police channels. Would be great if this is also possible with the P3300.
Hey Guys, i searched located a few threads but cant find a definite answer...
I got Ford Sync 3 with AA.
My car headunit have factory GPS software and antenna on the car.
Now i have updated my headunit to firmware with AA and CP.
When connecting AA everything works fine, but when i go to Google Maps it always require me to turn my phone GPS to High Accuracy (on) mode.
i was under the impression if my car have built in antenna it will utilize that...
Is it a case where for my car specifically (Ford 2016 Mustang) if built in NAVI is off then there is no power to the GPS antenna? or is it a setting i cant seem to find within AA?
thank you.
I am using a Pioneer headunit connected with the car's built-in GPS antenna, and I frequently use Android Auto. My experience is that AA used the phone's GPS antenna, not the one connected to the headunit (which should have better reception).
AA very probably uses the phone's antenna because the good people at Google expect some headunits to not have a GPS antenna connected (after all no GPS on your headunit is a major selling point for using AA), and they have no way to check that by software.
Hello
In my Rk3188 (KGL) device I have problem witch poor GPS signal. I can get only one satellite and signal is weak. I try different ROM and MCU and no solution. The antenna connection looks good.
Can I use external BT GPS device witch this unit or it is impossible due to Bluetooth limitations? Thanks for help.
Hi guys!
New to this forum..let me know if this is posted in the wrong section.
I have a 2008 Ford Can Bus nav unit with the Sync module I am trying to power up outside of the vehicle. I understand it requires some sore of "enable" signal on the Medium speed bus.
I have a neo vi fire with vehicle spy 3 as well as the ford diagnostic engineering tool software, but I am having trouble setting up the "local" can network. Currently I have the MS High and Ms Low pins directly connected to the corresponding pins on the head unit and sync module, but I am unable to transmit or see any traffic on the network.
Any advice please let me know. I am working on a project and this is the first step of many.
Thanks!

I believe it transmits on the mm can which may be why your not seeing any traffic
