HTC HD2 as a multi touch pad? - Windows Mobile Software Development

Hi,
Is there a applet for HTC HD2 to use it as a multi touch pad like some macbooks have; for my computer?
So I can zoom in pictures or something else.
Windows 7 is running on my PC and it supports multi touch, so that should be possible or not?
Does someone understand what I'm looking for?
Kroft
P.S.: I'm sorry for my english xD

It should very much be possible - over bluetooth, like a mouse or keyboard - and could be simply awesome.

Was this ever figured out because it would be awesome?

Great Idea!
Hey, that's an awsome idea, Yeah, I think it's pretty possible - you could use a server app on your pc which would get the input from the client on the hd2. So the connection is the smallest problem!!
If someone could explain me, how to simulate a moultitouch-input (e.g. First Finger Position, Second Finger-Position) from a .net app (windows), I'll give it a try.
Cheers

Great tool, but hasn't no multitouch, has it? Maybe I give it a try, but they don't announce official support for the hd2 - so it seems impossible, that they support multitouch...

phwoaaarrrr!!!! just what i need (enterprise version)
One of my favorite tools, at work at least so i dont keep my phone in hand to play around.
Ive been using My Mobiler for a few years now, its a great app that allows you to control ya phone when its charging in my work desk draw, it does screen shots and supports landscape mode as well ..
I have been using MyMobiler for a while now, and it's very good! No problems whatsoever, and supports skins, so you can actually have a "real" Touch HD show up on your computer screen.
I use it mostly on work to SMS and navigate the phone.
You can use your PC mouse and keyboard for controlling your phone when this is connected, so it makes typing much faster!
Only small issue is that the skins don't work in Landscape mode very well. But it's a minor problem. Apart from that, everything works as advertised.
I have also been checking out EveryWAN, and while it seems like a powerfull software, I don't like the fact it's so big screen-wise. My mobiler is a small window I can put in the corner of my screen and it will not take up much space.

One of the appeals for EveryWan to me is the fact that it is a full screen application ......feels more like a complete application solution rather than just a small window. I also like the full tool kit including reg edit, install and task manager. The video creator is good too.
I try this app befor a long time and she work cool

Iphone text zoom

what about the IPhone Browser zoom, has anyone got a solution for the HTC TOUCH HD?
No one's know?
hi everyone, i think the text zoom is possible but the browser and the picture zoom isn't, cause for the browser zoom you need to multi touch and our hd doesn't support that or am i wrong?
You'r right

No ! It sucks.
It would be wonderfull someone making this iPhone text zoom, but i am still thinking no one will succed making it,or it would already be out, cuz it's a GOOD point of the iPhone !
the htc touch diamond is multi touch , not much software for the function, but im sure its possible to make the app.
Multitouch is (kind of) possible on Windows Mobile.
When you tap at two points at the same time the press is recognized in the middle. Using this you can add fake multitouch. Here's a little example how it could look like
http://www.wikifortio.com/867906/Multitouch test.py
It's written in Python so you need Python CE with TkInterhttp://pythonce.sourceforge.net/
It is far from perfect because you can only move the second finger that you pressed and it's laggy(probably because of my programming abillitys) and it does nothing more than showing colored circles where you press.
But with the right programming knowledge you could make a zoom just like in the Iphone browser.
WM does not support multi-touch.
I only said something about fake multitouch

Using Xperia physical keyboard as an external keyboard to PC

My back hurts because I have to lean over my laptop in order to type on the keyboard. I was wondering if there is app like MobileSRC except that it lets me use the physical keyboard to type instaed of the virtual keyboard?
You want to use the Xperia keyboard to drive your laptop and not the laptop keyboard to drive your Xperia?
Move your laptop and save you back
I do it the oppostie way, use my laptop keyboard & my mobiler to enter data, send texts etc on the Xperia. It's kinder to my fingers, eyes and back.

Well you don't understand. You are not me to feel my kind of empathy. The desk in which I use is terribly short and my office chair is an old design which is
probably 10 years old. I literally have to transform into a hunchback if I were to type.
That's no good, we have laws here to protect us from that sort of stuff. It must be bad if you'd be more porductive using the Xperia keyboard. A USB keyboard for the laptop would be no good?
I've not seen software to do what you want. Only the media player remotes etc.

SteveTLS, I am not talking about the workplace or school. In my school it the chairs are comfortable and studying is like heaven. But at home it is a totally different situation!
Oops, my bad. I was thinking of work not home, sorry about that.

nueUSB keyboard works perfect actually...you should try it. Freaking A+ Mazing.
Did you mean to say that you require a script from XDA to enable the keyboard with this app?
well... all I am saying is, that this script is called that way, but works on most of htc made qwerty devices. the main advantage of salling clicker is that it works over wifi or bt (Your choice).

[SDK] Dual-Touch SDK for Resistive Screens V1.0 Beta + Rotation Alpha + Demo App

Now supports Rotation, same download place. I hope to see Rotate To Unlock applications Soon
Now Demo Rotate To Exit Application available, Youtube Video
Greetings XDA,
Today i released the beta version of the SDK
In December last year, i posted an Alpha version of this SDK. Now it is mature enough to announce it as Beta. This SDK allows developers to build Dual-Touch enabled applications. so let’s get into action.
Features:
Pinch to Zoom Support
Drag (swipe) support.
Replacement events for the mouse move fires only when a single finger detected.
Multiple events based on gestures.
Performance optimized, memory footprint is minimal.
To use this SDK you will need Visual Studio Professional or better. start a new Smart Device Project, and add the SDK to your references.
The SDK is consists of only one object, which is DualTouchSDK. We will need one instance of this class for every control that supports pinch to zoom or drag in your application.
There are several methods, properties and events that can be utilized in order to achieve multitouch effect. i have done my best to make this as easy as possible, my code is now complex but it is necessary to achieve easy implementation.
More info and download with documentation is available here
http://www.windowsphoneme.com/?p=386
great works, looking for further implementations
nice, i hope you keep developing this
Great job, thanks!
I wonder if anyone started using the sdk to build an application, can you post here if you did start
demo app
anaadoul: When You write it You must test it too .. so what is the problem to release some demo app showing the possibilities and features of this solution ? You have some test code so publish it ..
For me it's very strange that You already do not do this.

the only problem i have with the demo app is that i don't know how to create a hardware accelerated applications.
if i used the same old method (as the prealpha version), it's going to look slow and stuttery! while inface this has nothing to do with the SDK.
if you know how to build a hardware accelerated application please let's do it together.
I'm not sure i understand what do You mean " i don't know how to create a hardware accelerated applications", if that means You use a standard win mobile .net API ? if so please refer to this site.
IN THIS PLACE SHOUD BE LINK
damn i can't post links ... so please type it in google "khronos opengles 2"
for .Net wrapper, type in google
"Tiny Graphics Engine Tigre"
or
"koushik dutta net-compact-framework-wrapper"
I'm looking forward to this being implemented in games and such.
I'd love to see a screen unlocker that supports multi gestures "stretch to unlock" anyone?
I presume this only applies to HD2 as it has multi touch.

How did you work that out? HD2 wouldnt need this cos it already supports dual touch? Right?
hd2 has a capactive screen, thus meaning it alreasy has multi touch!
us people on resistive screens however are stuck on single touch only, until now (hopefully )
The funny thing is that this wont run on the HD2!
When you press 2 points on a resistive screen, apps get the middle of those points. And that fact is used for this emulated dualtouch.
When you press 2 points on the capacitive screen of the HD2 apps(without multitouch support) get no mousedown at all(at least on my HD2).

Thats why i said, I PRESUME. I am not sure, this is why I was asking.
I hope this project works Will be sooo happy
I'm not a programmer at all, but I'm curious from an electrcial standpoint, how the screen knows that your touching it at more than one point? I suppose with a normal resistive wire screen, you would get 3/4 minimum inputs, but with these "touchflo" screens..?
Just Curious.
Val
hi. Can anyone post one app made with this sdk so we can test it on our devices?
Thanks
Wow! I'm amazed at what I see everytime I get on XDA-Developers! I thought getting multi-touch on a resistive touch screen would be impossible! Excellent Work! People really need to start pumping out applications that can use this!

[Q] Use phone as input device for desktop? (e.g. as touchpad)

Hi all,
As a digital sketch-artist I use a drawing pad to make my designs, but I was wondering: is it possible to use my phone (Touch Pro2) as an input device for the desktop pc, for instance as a touch pad, keyboard or maybe even as an airmouse? This would make life a lot easier when I'm drawing curves on the screen...
I did some searching but coulnd't find anything...
Thanks in advance for helping out!
