My back hurts because I have to lean over my laptop in order to type on the keyboard. I was wondering if there is app like MobileSRC except that it lets me use the physical keyboard to type instaed of the virtual keyboard?
You want to use the Xperia keyboard to drive your laptop and not the laptop keyboard to drive your Xperia?
Move your laptop and save you back
I do it the oppostie way, use my laptop keyboard & my mobiler to enter data, send texts etc on the Xperia. It's kinder to my fingers, eyes and back.

Well you don't understand. You are not me to feel my kind of empathy. The desk in which I use is terribly short and my office chair is an old design which is
probably 10 years old. I literally have to transform into a hunchback if I were to type.
That's no good, we have laws here to protect us from that sort of stuff. It must be bad if you'd be more porductive using the Xperia keyboard. A USB keyboard for the laptop would be no good?
I've not seen software to do what you want. Only the media player remotes etc.

nueUSB keyboard works perfect actually...you should try it. Freaking A+ Mazing.
Did you mean to say that you require a script from XDA to enable the keyboard with this app?
well... all I am saying is, that this script is called that way, but works on most of htc made qwerty devices. the main advantage of salling clicker is that it works over wifi or bt (Your choice).

Hi,
could anybody help me?
I try to find a keyboard for 10 finger typing with MDA Compact. What I need is:
- full number of rows i.e. 5 rows incl. space because of local characters typing - not like e.g. Stowaway IR keyboard
- full 19 mm space between keys - not like e.g. Javoedge keyboard
- standard positioning of rows PC-like, for example space between "1" and "2" is approx in the middle of "Q" - not like e.g. HP ipaQ bluetooth keyboard
My ideal solution for TRGpro (Palm OS) was Targus Stowaway keyboard. For MDA compact I haven't found any... I even do not ask for foldable keyboard... Maybe a smaller, "notebook like" blutetooth keyboard.
Thank you for any help
Try the Apple Bluetooth Wireless Pro Keyboard.
ITs a bit big to carry, but its great as a keyboard and nice to type on.

Have you seen this

I also saw somewhere a gizmo that allows a full size keyboard to be used with pocket pc, dont know if that would help.

Thanks again, but for 10 finger typing without seeing you really need to be in touch with real keys.
Maybe something interesting for now
Hi, I have found "Motion's Bluetooth Mobile keyboard", see at: http://www.motioncomputing.com/products/motion_accessories.asp
They do not want to confirm that it will work with my MDA Compact, see the communication below. Could anybore more experienced here say it SHOUD work?
Thanks
-----------------
Martin,
The keyboard should ideally work with any device using bluetooth. The reality of it however is that sometimes drivers conflict, and make it difficult to pair with certain devices. Our Bluetooth Keyboard is only tested for our tablet, but many people use it with other devices. We do not however make any guarantees that it will work with any device other than our tablets.
Thank you for contacting Motion Computing

I know it might sound obvious but the O2 BT foldable keyboard is truly excellent by all accounts (a colleague has one) - decent useable size but folds up reasonably small too.
Apple BT keyboard
I use a Apple pro keyboard (USB) on my thinkpad when I´m at home - and love it!
Can anybody confirm that it works with the Magician?
No phone has USB host, so no the USB keyboard will not work.
You need a Bluetooth Keyboard at least.
I was talking about the bluetooth version of that apple keyboard (which I don`t own) I know that (at least the software) of the phone doesn`t support usb host capacity. Sorry if I didn`t make myself clear...
So, anybody ever used the keyboard with the mini?

Fuh, seems still no solution for me: I am not sure about O2 BT foldable keyboard branding, but I think this is the keyboard with the shifted upper row (see my first post)
- Btw no response from Motion after I had asked them about the international delivery possiblity

I am on a quest for the perfect treadmill computing platform (so I'm not sitting on my arse ALL day), so I can stay connected and work while I exercise. Currently I use the HTC Advantage, bluetooth keyboard, external display optional.
This would be even better with an "air" mouse- like the gyrate (http://archive.gamespy.com/hardware/march03/pv2/index3.shtml) or new logitech (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/mice_pointers/mice/devices/3443&cl=us,enhttp://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/mice_pointers/mice/devices/3443&cl=us,en).
Anyone know if either of these, something similar, or anything else non-surface-dependent (trackball?) can run on Windows Mobile?
thanks in advance.

Since I'm a consultant specialized in custom sulution, I would recomend you looking into the iGo Stowaway BT Mouse (http://www.expansys.com/d.aspx?i=147202)...
whitch you could "easely" make into a trackball by turning it upside down and attach a rubberball.. or something.
=)
What a project! Have you got any photos?

phwoaaarrrr!!!! just what i need (enterprise version)
One of my favorite tools, at work at least so i dont keep my phone in hand to play around.
Ive been using My Mobiler for a few years now, its a great app that allows you to control ya phone when its charging in my work desk draw, it does screen shots and supports landscape mode as well ..
I have been using MyMobiler for a while now, and it's very good! No problems whatsoever, and supports skins, so you can actually have a "real" Touch HD show up on your computer screen.
I use it mostly on work to SMS and navigate the phone.
You can use your PC mouse and keyboard for controlling your phone when this is connected, so it makes typing much faster!
Only small issue is that the skins don't work in Landscape mode very well. But it's a minor problem. Apart from that, everything works as advertised.
I have also been checking out EveryWAN, and while it seems like a powerfull software, I don't like the fact it's so big screen-wise. My mobiler is a small window I can put in the corner of my screen and it will not take up much space.

One of the appeals for EveryWan to me is the fact that it is a full screen application ......feels more like a complete application solution rather than just a small window. I also like the full tool kit including reg edit, install and task manager. The video creator is good too.
I try this app befor a long time and she work cool
Hi.
I searched much but it came with no result, it's hard to find phase there, because there is many similar threads.
I search for an application which will allow me to use my phone as wireless controller for games <- it's important because most keyhacks won't work with d3d because of cheating-prevention.
I got hardware keyboard and touch panel so I would use keyboard as keyboard and touch like touchpad.
None of wireless image is needed.
Is there anything like this?
Thanks for response in advance!
Cheers my bros, Luby

Hi,
Has anyone used a bluetooth keyboard/mouse with the SGS2?
If so, what was your experience and which devices did you use?
It would be nice to have a list of devices that are AVAILABLE and play nice with the SGS2 so we don't all end up buying 5 keyboards trying to find a decent one.
This is obviously a precursor to the MHL cable dropping and being able to navigate the device over MHL Mirroring.
Cheers!
Check the end of my video here, BT keyboard and mouse working fine:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giJXF5pIITc
The keyboard I'm using is the iGo Stowaway Ultraslim Keyboard, sadly not made any more. Nearly any BT HID Profile device should work with the SGSII.
For starters I would guess that all the ones in this -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=799079&highlight=bluetooth+keyboard+mouse
- thread for the SGSI will work fine.
Ah cool cheers, i do remember you saying that your keyboard was no longer available sadly.
I was thinking something like this would be great to just kick back and use as a media controller....

anyone can check if it work? or advise similar mini keyboards which would work on our device..
I have the same question... did a bit of research and found the following:
Foldable freecom model, 54 quids. Reviews indicate it's decent, has a little tray to hold the phone but it's also 'cheaply built':
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Freedom-BTF...1_6?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1306668294&sr=1-6
The official Apple wireless keyboard. Great build, but not foldable. 50 quids
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Apple-MC184B-A-Wireless-Keyboard/dp/B002TUSWU4/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
A clone of the above, 22 quids.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bluetooth-W...1_3?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1306669505&sr=1-3
I'm not seeing any 'great' options here... can someone suggest anything else?
I have this keyboard:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Freedom-Pro...IWJ6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1306675360&sr=1-1
It works fine, save for the buttons that are specific to certain OS. It's not my favorite keyboard, tho.
I just purchased this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Folding-Bluetoo...66?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item53e6f9a18a
I have one from about 10 years ago that was made for a Handspring PDA and it was hands-down the best portable keyboard I've ever used, so I'm hoping this one will be just as good. I also have a Jorno keyboard on order, but there's no ETA on its release yet.
I've also used a Bluetooth mouse with the phone, and it also works fine. Mine's the Razer Orochi.
Logitech dinovo mini works well...
(only complaint is that the keyboard layout is scandinavian/swedish) and the phone gets the default english letters. Probably just have to change key mapping but have not gotten around to that yet)

Does anybody know how to use a different keyboard layout than US/GB?
I have a German version of this keyboard.
Same with me.
My keyboard finally arrived, and it's pretty good. Seems it may have a defect (it's typing some double letters on some keys, R and Space especially), but other than that, it's pretty much an exact replica of the one I used to have, and it feels great. I highly recommend it.

And do all the buttons work OK e.g. media volume and cursor buttons and touch pad?

Hello!
I tested a Nokia SU-8W bluetooth keyboard, it comes with a Nokia N8.
Works well, no pairing issues, very clean to do it .
I don't know how to do with the keyboard the same actions as "option" or "home" buttons . At least, Esc key works as back button.
I miss to have a bluetooth mouse at the same time... is a needed partner for this keyboard.

On the couple of Bluetooth keyboards I've been using, these combinations worked:
Fn+left arrow: Home
Fn+right arrow: Sleep
Fn+1: Option/menu
Fn+(hold) left arrow: Recent
Fn+(tap x2) left arrow: Voice Talk
Been playing with other combinations, but those are all the ones I've been able to find so far.

Actually, I am interested in remapping keys. I have a Palm 3245WW bluetooth keyboard and I sometimes have to write in Greek, which involves using some accents (for intonation). The on-screen keyboard will give me these accents if I long press on the keys of the stock Greek layout, but I haven't figured out how to do this with the bluetooth keyboard. Any help would be appreciated.
