Hey, I set up my gmail on my att tilt2 and when im done and try to check my mail i get a incoming e-mail password screen, i set up my password.
Anybody know how to fix this?
thanks
I too am facing the same problem, the email account is yahoo. The "incoming email password" pops up every now and then and is annoying, I have to either click cancel or close this screen dialog. Does anyone know how to go about stopping this pop up.

I checked off save password in the email account setup. I'm using .mac for my email. Whenever it goes out for my mail it asks me to enter my password, I usually have to enter it at least 3 times before it actually will connect and get my email. Even if I try and send email from this account it asks a few times for my password before it actually sends the email. I've deleted my account and started over, but the same things keeps happening. I just want to fetch my mail with not interaction from me,lol.
When I setup my aol mail I didn't use the AOl from the list of accunts (if I did it would never work), I used imap/pop and it works fine now. It doesn't ask for a password.
My .mac is the most important, anyone know a way to get my password to stay saved? So everytime it gets my mail, or I try to send a mail I don't have to enter my password around 3 times?
Am I the only one experiencing this? Any workarounds?
Got anything odd in your password? Like spaces or punctuation?
no, it's actually the same exact password as my aol account. That never asks for a password, only my .mac asks.
I was able to setup my email on my t-mobile, and now it does not ask me for my password
Hey guys, I'm hoping someone here might have had this problem...
Okay, I had this problem with WM5 too but somewhow managaed to get it to stop. No such luck with WM6. Here's the problem:
I set up my Earthlink email via the "New E-mail Account..." funtion. Works fine. However, now whenever I get a new email at my earthlink address I _automatically_ get a text message along the lines of this:
701
F: "Palm Store Newsletter"<Palm_
S: Through Sunday May 20, 2007 -P
Sent to <my address>
ID:345543456:1
In my email settings I've set it to Automatic Send/Receive to _Manual_. I can't think of anything else that would be causing my Dash to retrieve email headers like this. But its driving me nuts! because I'm getting spammed by text messages all day.
I've tried reconfiguring my email, rebooting, doublechecking my settings. Gah!
Go to your tmobile account on line go toyur email and disable alerts they are not supported on WM6 -rather they expert you to go to an exchange server
Wow - that was it. I had no idea TMobile would go that far to charge me for text messages Thank you muchly ljcaz!
aol email
i have a similar problem except my problem is i have aol set up in my email on WM6. on WM5 i was able to check email and it would stay on server. the new WM6 for some reasone even delets it off ther server once i delete on my phone. i have the setting on the phone set to leave on server but i dont know how to fix the problem any ideas
When I go to email and enter my password, it says "Connecting" then Logging on..." but then it goes back to the screen asking for my passwords, followed by this error message:
Messaging
Cannot connect to the incoming mail server. Be certain that your login information is correct, then try again to send and receive mail.
I know my info is correct because I can access my gmail through the Tilt 2's browser as well as on other computers. I'm currently using monx's ROMeOS ROM but this was happening on other ROMs too. How can I fix?

Do you have IMAP/POP3 enabled in your google options? You have to have that setup first before you can access/sync using poutlook.
Previously my Fuze always worked and this new Tilt 2 did sometimes.
After reading your suggestion. I went into my gmail settings. IMAP was enabled and POP was not. I enabled POP but it did not help. Hmm.
I realize there is a fix for WM6.1 but is there anything for WM6.5? I can't be the only one to experience this problem.
Nothing? Please?

I noticed that your login is also case sensitive. So let's asume you entered Cam123 as a login but try cam123. That solved my connection problems
did you use the email wizzard, or did you put the settings for the email setup there youre self?
I had the same issue with my email account.... problem whas/is that when windows checks online for settings, it downloads the wrong settings (incomming & outgoing mailserver were wrong)
Then I used the email wizzard, and that worked great! all settings work correct ...
hope this helps you.
Good luck!
Thank you but it's not a case-sensitive issue.
I entered my gmail account information by going to Email, then entering the data.
So I just hard-reset my phone and I entered my email info (username and password) at the start of my phone. Now it keeps popping back up every 5 minutes or so wanting me to kinda reconfirm them, I get the Username and password. None of my emails will come thru. help?
I just hard-reset again and it still coming up it says "incoming email password, please cheat you username and password and try again"
I know my password is right Ive retyped it 12 times now, anyone have any ideas, I need my email for work!
I just tried my other two yahoo account, all the same thing
Could be your internet provider blocking port 25 (SMTP) or 110 (POP3)? Check what ports are you using in the incoming/outgoing mail server configuration and ask your ISP if those ports are blocked!
Hi all,
Having issues changing my password in the official/default email app of the G4 - got a notification from my Exchange account (although it happens with them all!) to change my password to match the server. No problem.
Only everytime I try and change the password I get a login error saying "incorrect information". The problem seems to be that when it takes me to the settings of the email app, it deletes out the domain name for some reason, and doesn't let you edit to put it back in!
This seems like a real pain in the ass bug - the only way to get it syncing again is to remove the account and set it up from scratch again...not ideal when forced to change your password frequently.
Can someone try this and see if they're affected for me too please?
In the default LG G4 email app go to:
Settings>*email account*>Advanced settings>Exchanges server settings...
Now you should see where the password is asking to be changed - has the domain been deleted? If you change the password, does it work?
Honestly, between this and the constant missed screen taps I'm very close to sending this back! Any help would be really appreciated!
Anyone?
I have the same issue.... When cancelling however the new password worked....
