haha, nice catch there. and no, no pun intended.
but seriously, i cant wait until android 2.0 is ported successfully. the eclaire screenshots look wonderful.

Can you post your default.txt or pm it to me? I cannot get Android to run for my life... and I am sure that I am missing a minor detail somewhere in the Default.txt. Thanks.

use the newest basefiles. (111609) i think?
use that default.txt.
what does your error message say?
did you change the panels?

Yes, I did change the panels. There is no error message but after launching HaRet, it starts going through all the initialization and it stops, as if it was waiting for input "\#". I tried 1 2 and 3 for the panels and I think that 2 is the one that worked (no more flashing white screen).
I will give 111609 a shot and see if that works. Thanks for the suggestion.

Nevermind, I got it running....
I just forgot to rename the rootfs.... silly me
Thanks for the help though!

Unlock your Vogue with the coke unlocker http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=20370
Install Custom Rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=554664 or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=432487)
Install SPB Mobile Shell (optional but simplifies your interface so much and no lag)
Install a **** load of other cool programs to make your phone cooler
Be prepared for a lot of tweaking and backup your contacts with activesync or if your not a power user just install a program called pim backup so you can backup everything to your storage card incase you need to restore it all back if you have to format your phone (which is common with windows 6.5+) Getting windows 6.1 with spb mobile 3.5 would most likely be the best stable combo in my opinion

Questions after upgrading to WM6 - Help...

Ok, I have upgraded my Hermes to WM6 using the ROM on the wiki site.
I have installed all my apps and everything was looking great. I then noticed the Extended ROM and half a dozen cab files. So I have installed all of these as assumed they were some sort of patches.
I carried on installing my apps but now after a reboot the SIM PIN Lock entry screen looks a really basic (non 3d) button version and the keypad that should be shown when pressing the green call button isn't displayed I just get a white screen.
I have installed the following apps:-
eWallet 5
Tomtom 6
PocketBreeze 5.2
Phone Alarm + VistaMedia skin
Any ideas on what has happened?
Do I need to re-flash my phone?
Help..
Thanks
Mark

Which version have you upgraded to?? If it is v0.20.x (thats 0.20.0 or 0.20.1) this is a known issue, seriously recommend reading the thread concerned with the ROM you are flashing before going ahead (the link for the thread is in the table aswell).

The best thing to do is to is to perform a 'Hard Reset' which will reset your device back to the same point as when the rom was flashed, so you will need to reinstall everything. Suggest you install the same things again but dont install the skin....this might be incompatible with WM6 (since nearly all skins are designed for use in WM5).
BTW, i would take some time to read through the wiki and familiarise yourself with the various reset types and other literature on ROM upgrades, the knowledge in these pages will hold you in good stead for the future sir

Not really....the best thing you can do is to leave the ext_rom alone and just manually configure your MMS and WAP settings by hand. The ext_rom (again) contains cab installers that are designed for WM5.....while most should work in WM6 there are some that dont. ext_rom is something i havent used for ages in XDA-Live (v0.1 and now 0.2) and I dont miss it.
Just install the apps you were running (phonealarm and others). The ext_rom doesnt do much except run carrier based stuff (like themes and automatic settings).

htc s620 startup

is there a way to put a startup sound on s620 just like a windows xp ?
i've never been able to add just startup sounds without also adding a 3rd startup splash screen, but i created a .cab ( with some other necessary registry tweaks) to add startup&shutdown sounds and splash screens. go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=396273
!!!!
this .... doesent work.
"Installation of PDG_Startup-Shutdown.cab was unsuccessful."
now what ?
what ROM are you using? sorry i always assume people here are using the WM 6.1 cooked ROMS and not one of the official WM 6 or WM5 official ROMS. the .cab was built around the WM 6.1 ROM. secondly, if it isn't one of the WM 6.1 ROMs , is your phone application unlocked?

seems like you are pretty ignorant at searching and finding out what needs to be done to get the situation handled. That is not a problem, but your "something something that starts with "k" dont know the rest.." isnt going to assist in someone helping you.
Get your proper information gathered then come and ask for help.

Hey RickWyatt thank you for the rom. Quick question: What happened to the menu animations? You know, like when you're in file explorer, you press the 2nd softkey, and the menu slides up? Where did it go? How do I get it back?
Also, Ive noticed that the Office mobile panel has the office logo. So, my other question is, how do I change the icon of a panel? For example, I want to change the colorless Windows Media player icon to something else. please see below:
Anyone home?

Just an opinion, but maybe you guys should offer two version of the ROM, one with the patched SPL in it and one without. Not everybody wants a non-stock SPL on their phone, especially for warranty issues

Do you mean your screen goes white when it times out naturally? If so, I had the same problem when I installed Windows Live. Uninstalling it fixed the white screen issue. But I only had this problem with the Rose ROM...never had it with 6.1.
Edit: I'm referring to the menu animations that are unique to the Rose Rom. The animations you pointed me to are already available in a regular 6.1 Rom via settings>Acessibility... I'm talking about the way the menu slides up when you're in for example, file explorer or Wmp. I miss that. I think it's still in the older Roms..
I enabled animations in my original 1.3 ROM because I think they're neat.I dont know why these guys disabled them... I forget what the registry entry is right now, but it's somewhere in HKLM/System/GDI or something.... Under GDI anyway.

Edit: I ended up flashing my Dash back to NRGZ28's original rom.
Edit2: The registry values are exactly tthe same..
Edit3: I flashed back to this rom.. It's better than the NRGZ28's original in terms of usability.. But I still want the eye candy. If anyone finds out how to get back the animations, please tell me!

Ooo, very cool - I wonder if my Orange branded device will work with that or if I'll have to go down the unlock route to use a cooked ROM instead?
Does anyone know if this gives us TF3D 2.5?
Great - thanks for posting. Im running my backups now.
Question - would a full spb backup restore from 6.1 restore to 6.5? I've never done this before!
Double post - deleted.

Yeah, I'm really curious about this as well.
Its TF3D 2.1 (with weather on the homepage)
I used PIM Backup which seemed to handle contacts/sms/calender stuff ok.
Phone decided to hang for a bit once it'd completed the restore but a swift reboot sorted that out.
Now the fun job of re-applying apps/config etc!
Pretty painless flash and seems to work ok - slightly more sluggish than WM 6.1 but hopefully re-applying config tweaks will sort that out.

[Q] Take away task bar

Hello and happy new year.
I am spanish. Iam using my HD with an oficial 1.56 spanish ROM, with mobile shell and with the MSkip Proplus wm7 skin.
I don´t know if is it posible to take away the top task bar to see the mobile shell skin in the full screen. If some body Know?
Thanks in advance

Hello and thanks for your interest. My pda is the first HTC Touch HD with wm 6.1.
Hi again
Yes it is possible to take the taskbar away, the top or the bottem one, or both,BUT!!
If you prepared to DUMP you ROM, or you can go to the HTC web-side and download the new ROM for you device, why? because you need 2 files from the ROM to change it with the hexeditor than cook it back to the ROM after that flash the new ROM to you device, you will everything delete on you phone with this procedure, because you have to flash you altered ROM to you phone, is it worth for you?? let me know
