Hi
I allmost allways use Phone Pad for text messaging and the Keyboard for Word documents. What I would like is to them assigned as default respectively, so that I don't have to change from one to the other everytime I open a different program. - Can it be done?
Regards
Søren
i believe wisbar advance 2 will help you to accomplish that. it has a feature that will change the SIP based on the title of the active program
good luck. let us know by posting your results here

Check out this app:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=271008&highlight=sipchange
Thanks for the answers. But there's still no solution to the problem: What I would like is to have the SIP change automaticly when I open a program. E.g. when I open any message program I want the Phone Pad; opening Note Pad the Transcriber, and Word the Keyboard.
I hope there's an ingenious programmer out there who can make, or has made, a small program that can do the job.
Regards
Søren
A very late reply: the requested functionality is impossible because several apps can be opened simultaneously and only one SIP can be 'active'.
Hello,
I've been searching for a while, but there are no way to disable the Hardware Answer/Call Off buttons on incoming calls, while keeping HTC'slider (which is perfect for me) and without doing triple tap tricks or complex slides combinations...
s2u2, PocketShield, TouchLockPro, LockMeLite and ThrottleLock's developpers release great and very complete apps, but I don't use use the screen lock functions, because it never happens to me that the power button was being pushed when I put the phone on my pocket, so that would be a useless lost of time to lock/unlock the screen with an app.
All I need -and I've seen that I'm not alone- is an app which only lock the hardware keys on incoming calls w/o doing/adding any other stuffs.
It would be great that a developer could do that, and be sure that I 'd be the first to make him a donation!!!
Anybody...?
The fact is that I'm sure it can be done, because PocketShield and s2u2 do this very well (locking hardware buttons on call), but they both add an answering interface wich does not add anything to HTC's interface and does not offer the possiblity to desactivate the ring.
The soft that we're looking for would be extremley light 'cause locking keys on call does not require any ressources, so that wouldn't involve any battery drain, neither any memory consuming... in one word : a must!!
Software like that would be great. However it should have one important option included, that is auto-unlock hardware keys for the headset when connected otherwise the headset answer button will be useless. Is there anybody willing to spend some of their precious time to create this excellent app for us???
Yeah excellent remark! I think we've got our requirements document ^^

I was searching for exactly the same!
Maybe it's possible to find what changes happen in registry when you set up pocket shield to disable answering by hardware keys and then just apply does to registry without installing any program ...or maybe it just a matter of creating some script for mortscript that would block hardware keys on incoming call with exception for headset connected?
Is there anybody here more knowledgeable than me who could do that or create a better solution?
I am interestet for a solution too...
+1
interested also...

It's a good start! I have Araxis Merge which is able to do powerful file comparisons. All we need is a tool to extract the whole registry as a simple file in order to compare the one created before with the one created after a pocketshield/s2u2 installation+configuration.
Do you know if this type of soft exists?
I found this little advice in Blackstone ROM section maybe this will help you export registry files for comparison. It is a part of Ugumba post #5 from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=485542
To figure out the registry settings for a certain program or option, there are two ways:
- manual search, typically fast and has a very high success rate by first visiting HKLM\Software and HKCU\Software, then looking for the vendor or software name.
- registry diff, slow but very accurate, requires PC (for now). Export HKLM+HKCU (using multiple select in Resco regedit) *before* you make the configuration change, and *after* you've made the change. Copy the two reg files to a PC and do a diff (WinMerge should do a good job). Alternatively, you can use a Windows tool like Registry Workshop or CeRegEditor to export the registries, but I think the first way is faster, and you can actually prepare the exports on the move, then do the diffs when you come home.

I'll try to contact A_C (s2u2) to see if he can give us some tips!
Keep watching the LmL (LockMeLite) for feature releases.
If you notice the No 11 of the USER REQUESTS you will see the feature you want!
I believe very soon LmL will make you happy

Good news!!!!
We are counting the minutes!!
(Edit: I was reading LockMeLite thread)
But looks like your app is for a lot more thank locking hardware buttons on an incoming call.
It show unread sms, mail, etc and locks the screen as well, and not only when you receive a call.
I think that we all are asking for is an app that ONLY lock the hardware buttons ONLY while an incoming call is in progress.
i'm a new WM user, been a blackberry guy until now and something is bugging me about my TP2
I have 4 profiles
normal
silent
vibrate
automatic (for meetings)
i want to be able to edit or create another profile but i don't have the option.
at night i want the email alerts to be silent but sms, phone and alarm to still function.
if i try editing the snooze or silent profiles it just switches back to the normal one.
right now i'm basically just turning off the alerts on the normal profile before i go to bed but it's annoying as hell.
can anyone help?
and i apologize if this is a stupid n00b question or if i'm in the wrong place.
i appreciate your help ahead of time
nope, can't create custom profiles.
Is this final answer? Isn't there even software for this? I would think it shouldn't be a trick of anything for code wizards here in XDA.
I can figure out the principles, but I couldn't code for saving my life
EDIT: Oh, nvm. Search is thy friend ^^ So there seems to be a software for this, I guess.
try this: http://www.ageye.de/index.php?s=gprofile/about&l=en
I would suggest you try PhoneWeaver I use it and it is awesome and they have now fixed the Bluetooth switching issue.
like pc,wm phones dont have customizable profile configuration unless you use thrid party software.
i am useing wm 6.5,i tried lots of profile softwares, phone weaver,g-profile,pocket zen phone etc etc,but i have not found one that can work with wm 6.5.
one of answers here posted g profile link,i will check again, maybe they have one working with wm 6.5 now
I used to use SPB Phone Suite which worked very well for me for profiles. However, if you use TF3D you won't be able to quickly access the settings because it's a Today screen plugin. But you can always just set-it-and-forget-it.
My Favorite is PhoneAlarm... They have a version in beta that works with TouchFlo or WM6.5.. it will be verison 2.3 released this week... You can set 8 different profiles and there are a ton of Skins..
www.pocketmax.net
sorry for this real noob question, but you said you have those 4 profiles. i remember being able to do this with my previous wm phone, but with the tp2 i cant find it.... how do you change between profiles? is their an easy way of doing it like on the homepage?
you can set the "hold end" key to change from VIB to RING.
Hi everybody,
I was searching for a tool which toggles the radio, i.e. each time it starts it puts the radio on or off, the tool from VJVolubilis (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=255911) would be fine, but it also turns off the data connection, and doesn’t turn it on again, at least it behaves this way on my Acer F900.
The other tool I found has the same problem.
And now my question:
Can some give me a code sample how to switch on/ off the radio, maybe I can make the tool myself.
Please post me truly simple sample, otherwise I won’t understand it
Thanks in advance

Hi depp2web
Install the cab file attached.
Cheers
andrew-in-woking
Hi andrew,
thanks for your reply, but it has the same problem like the other tools, the data connection stays switched off.
Mortscript

Hi depp2web
I am by no means an expert but I think you might be able to achieve your objective with a Mortscript. There is a Mortscript examples thread so it's worth checking through that. Alternatively, look at the script options and see what you can put together.
Best wishes
andrew-in-woking
Hi Andrew,
I already thought about mortscript, but I would most likely end in a script which starts the comm. manager of the phone and simulates the mouse clicks, rather unsexy…
I’d like to have an “invisible” app, because I use it to switch off the radio while I’m still reading my newsletter in the browser (yes I’m very stingy on my battery), and I really don’t want some other apps to pop up at this time.
Try XroM_Switch with the parameter "phone" to toggle phone
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=639003
Source code of Phone_Switch
Hi, thx for the next tool,
Well from what I see it will work (my cyrillic is really bad *haha*)
But when make a link with the phone parameter, it still shows the form, and no action is done
I modified the link to make it look like this:
38#"\Program Files\Zeugs\XroM_Switch.exe" phone
Any ideas what might be the problem?
Edit:
And thanks for the source code!
Your standalone program (in Phoneswitch.zip)
is exactly the app I was searching for, great job and thanks a lot
Have a nice weekend

Hi!
I'm working on a wallpaper changer program what's change the today's and/or the Sense's wallpaper in a specified time (10-720 mins). But when the device goes to sleep (suspend) mode, the program goes to sleep as well and does not change the background. How can I tell the WM to wake up in the specified time and let the program to change the wallpaper and then goes to sleep again?
I googled a lot, but can't found a proper solution. I found unattended mode, and many other stuffs, but those are not good for me. I need a notification-like event what happens like alarm and I can detect it in the program, change the wallpaper and let the WM sleep again.
I'm writing the app in VB (VS2008) with NETCF 3.5, but I can understand C# codes too and I can convert it to my own use.
Thanx for help, if I get any!

Did you try runappattime, i am using these function in my apps to wake up the device and run the app so there is no need to keep the application running in the background.
If you want i can share my custom c# dll which i use to do all my scheduling thing.

That's a good idea. I'll happy to your dll. I'm using pinvoke all the time anyway in VB.
