Windows Media Streaming Stops WM6.5 - Touch CDMA Windows Mobile ROM Development

Hi,
I'm running NFSFAN's 6.5 21864 SYS/XIP V1.00 and I use stream music using Windows Media.
Here is the thing, I used to do it on wm6 and it works great, but now under wm6.5 starts playing and after a couple of minutes the streaming stops. I have to click on PLAY to get the Windows Media to connect and start streaming again, and I have to keep doing to over and over again.
Any idea?

Are you playing at the same bitrate? Stupid thing keeps defaulting to 64kbps for me...
i get the stopping thing when my data connection dies in low signal strength areas.

Does anyone have a patch fo Windows Media Player in Tuma 1.3? Under the Himalaya ports it worked fine but in the Wizard ports it's stuttery. It's the main reason I am still using the old Wizard ports.
If you press play and then press pause and leave it on pause for 30-60 seconds everything will play fine. It seems to need time to buffer.
ill give it a shot, the only reason i upgraded to WM5 tuma 1.3 is so that when i play mp3s i can lock the device without the WMP closing as in WM2003 or leaving the device unlocked when walking round listening to mp3s then having to close everything thats opened

A fix for drpouts & pauses when playing audio in WMP

I noticed while driving around, cursing my new TP2 for continual dropouts in WMP audio playback, that the dropouts usually occurred at the same time that a status indicator changed in the task bar.
Here is the fix (that seems to make a huge difference for me):
Turn off WiFi!

Start Menu Issues Please help!

I've HardSPL my TP2 and put the official 6.5 Upgrade; now everytime I play a game or watch a video on youtube or listen to music; well basically i could be doing anything and the start thing on the top where the phone signal and sound notification thing is always manages to come on top of everything and messes up what I'm doing basically. Very ANNOYING. It freezes up the video or the musci skips it's annoying. Any thoughts??

ESPN radio app

When I swiched to froyo, this app quit working. It will buffer to 100% then the stop button appears. The podcast and everything else works, just can't connect to the stations. Any ideas?

I've had the same problem and I'm still waiting for a response from the developer. Like you, I've noticed station streaming seems to be the only thing that's affected. Podcasts and SportsCenter work perfectly. Also, the streaming works when you use wi-fi, but won't with 3G or 4G. The other morning, the 3G worked briefly, but quit after about 10 minutes.
I've given up on it and just switched to WunderRadio, since it has the streaming audio of most of the ESPN affiliates.

I haven't had any issues on my phone, running DK28 ViperROM, yet but will report back tomorrow if I quits after 10mins, dont think I've gone that long since being on Froyo.
I finally got a response from AirKast saying that they are aware of a problem with certain Samsung devices and they are working on a solution. In the mean time, they suggested going into settings (hidden under "Exit" in the apps menu bar) and turning on "USE EXTRA BUFFER" and set Start Bufer and Restart Threshold to the maximum settings. Now, it takes a 30-40 seconds to get the same previous result. I jumped over to WunderRadio and was listening to a perfect stream of Mike & Mike within seconds.

Streaming Audio via Browser

Hi guys,
I've got a rooted Evo 4G CM7...but I had experienced this same problem before root.
Listening to audio from kevinandbeanarchive.com (so. cal radio), and clicking on the audio link launches the embedded media player in the browser. The problem is that even with a strong data connection the audio sometimes pauses, sometimes stops all together, sometimes skips right to the end. Re-launch from the link, and it'll work fine again...for a while. Works fine if you switch off the screen, but you cannot exit the browser or it'll end the stream.
So is there a way to replace the default player in the browser? Thanks guys.
