Sense Music tab stops playing after a short time

I have never been able to get my music tab functioning correctly on my device. Whenever I try to play a music file, it will play for about 1-2 minutes and then it just stops playing. It usually seems to happen around 1:45. It isn't just that it loses sound, the time stops counting up and everything. The only way to get it to start playing again is to actually stop the playback and start it over again. The problem only occurs when I try
to use the music tab. WMP, TCPMP, MortPlayer, etc are all fine.
This issue has gone on pretty much since I got my phone last year. I believe that at one time in the past it DID seem to get resolved but I have no idea what was different or what ROM I was running at the time.
Preventing the phone from turning the screen off (my first thought) does not appear to extend the time before it stops. Having the phone plugged in also has no effect. It happens using BT audio as well as the phone's speakers. This issue has persisted across multiple ROM versions and cooks. I have been running mostly EnergyROM lately but have also encountered it with Valkyrie and others.
If anyone has any good ideas on how to fix this I would be grateful. It has gotten to the point that I just ignore the music tab entirely if I don't actively remove it from Sense, but it would be nice to be able to use it.
I'm assuming you're playing your music off of the SD card? Does it behave the same when you play files from the onboard memory?
same here and yeah im running it off the SD card. help please
I too am having the exact same problem.
I have had the problem, but I found out that Opera was also always open when this happens, and I just assumed that the system was running out of memory, so I just play music when Im doing NOTHING else when using the Sense player, but the Alternative is to just use WMplayer or TCMP or Nitrogen
well sense the new cht has the music player on the homescreen i find it very nice and usefull and wmp does take up any memory while the htc sense doesnt..so yeah =/

[Q] Bluetooth Issues

Well I've got the Omnia 7 and love it, although I do have an issue with it regarding the use of bluetooth headphones.
Anybody else experienced issues with the handset not sending the sound to the headset when switching from movies to music and back again.
I can get the phone to pair with my headphones almost instantly (A big improvement from my blackstone) and if I listen to music straight away the music streams perfectly. If I then goto watch a movie, I get zero sound. I go back to the music and press play ... nothing again. Even with bluetooth off.
I have to restart the phone in order to properly re-establish the connection to hear sounds over the headset.
It appears to me that due to the fact that you can't properly exit out of zune, whatever your doing gets paused and "keeps" the link for itself.
SO my question is - Has anyone else come across this and how do you properly exit from zune?
I have the same thing on my HTC 7 Trophy. Music plays just fine on the headset, but video is always played over the handsets speaker. Switching back to music seems to work fine for me though.
Anyone know why this is? Is this a shortcoming of the first release of these phones or is there a setting we forgot to tweak?
also, if you headset/headphones have a play/pause button, the music can play at the same time as the video, kinda weird sometimes

Thats a little different from what is happening to me. As I stated in my thread I have no sound through bluetooth for video files at all. After trying to watch a video I can go back to music and it will play through my bluetooth headphones just fine. Video sound comes out of the main speakers always.

[Q] Sound Issues

Right here's the issue with my Samsung Omnia 7.
Boot the phone up, listen to some music through Zune, all works fine. Pause the music or back up and watch a film, still works fine. Pause or go back to music and listen to music...... Plays the tracks but no sound! Only way to get sound back is to restart the phone.
Can someone else try this on there phone. It's an MP4 film that im playing through Zune.

suddenly i can hear no more Sound on my HD7. The Speakers are death, so i tried to reset it to the factory settings but after rebooting there is the same Problem. One hour later the screen began to flicker. It seems that there is something completely wrecked.
I called O2, they will send me a new HD7 :-(

[Q] Bluetooth audio issue on stock 4.3

Really annoyed at myself for taking the upgrade to 4.3 as now I have an issue with bluetooth that I cannot figure out. Bluetooth audio to my reciever was perfect before but now it has the same problem no matter what app i use (tune in, xiilive, standard media player etc)
Basically the phone sends the audio but the speed varies. Like a song will play normal speed, then maybe speed up for a second, then the audio cuts out for half a second and its back to normal again. This will stream fine for maybe 5 seconds and again, any audio will speed up a bit, and cut out. Its only happened since 4.3. Anyone else have this problem or know of a way to fix it?
Well a bit of an update on this. It turns out it doesnt skip with music thats on the phone. So the stock media player and mp3s etc stream totally fine. Its just with audio that is streamed via apps like winamp, Xiilive, Tune in. They all have exactly the same problem as described above. However, the only way I can get it to stop skipping and run normally is if the screen is on and I am in the Wifi networks setting page. Its fine then, until the screen goes off, then it starts to skip again. This is so annoying now. Is it an android issue? Not connected to bluetooth through normal headphones or the Note 2 speaker, all these apps are perfect.

Unwanted music plays automatically on bluetooth audio connection

Hi folks,
New D851 running 20G stock (but rooted).
I paired it with my car (late model Toyota) and as soon as it connects every time I get in and start the car, it starts playing music. Something about LG Life is Good themes. They are in the default Music app.
I don't use my phone to play music, and had never opened the music app before this started. I use the paired audio for streaming apps (This American Life, in the current situation). Anyway, I manually stopped the music and got my TAL streaming. As I was driving along, I got a text message. The car read me the text message (my son found his homework, yea), then reconnected the audio player, and started playing the MUSIC again, not my This American Life.
It has done this repeatedly, even after a reboot.
My prior phone (running stock android 5.1.1) didn't have this problem... it would pick up in whatever app it left off, and wouldn't START playing something if nothing was running already.
How do I stop this aberrant behavior?
FWIW, I deleted all those stock LG songs and the problem "went away" but I'm sure if I put other music in there it will start up again with automatic play.
I haven't tweaked anything in the phone to cause this, and it's the stock ROM, so someone else has got to have seen it... Anybody?

What folder was the music in that you deleted? I have a major issue with bluetooth pairing with my 16 Honda Accord. Bluetooth has stopped occurs over and over when phone and car are trying to connect to eachother. Seems to connect then phone bluetooth drops. Only time it seems to work is when the music app starts automatically. That on happens once in a while, maybe twice in the week that I have had the car. It's really frustrating, but think it has something to do with the automatic start of music.

I believe the music I deleted was simply in the "music" folder ... it was the stock music LG puts there as part of the stock ROM. I don't store music on the phone; my Bluetooth pairing is for phone and streaming various radio shows, so I never put any music into that folder. I'm quite certain if I put my own music there, it would auto-play as well.
I usually leave Bluetooth on (on the phone) all the time, and when I turn on my 2015 Toyota, the phone and audio player (or whatever it's called) pair as soon as the car is finished booting up. (that sounds weird, describing a car as booting). If my car is in Bluetooth audio mode (instead of FM radio for example), nothing much happens now that I've deleted those song. I simply go into my streaming app, start it, and it works.
What I have found, is that that if I get a text while I'm driving and streaming something, if I press the button on the car dash to read the text to me (in the car's soothing feminine voice), after it's done reading it aloud, I have to mess with stuff to get the streaming to pick up again, which sort of defeats the purpose of "hands free." So I pull over, mess around, and get back on the road.
It's possible that the car's defaults are conflicting with the phone's defaults, in a way my prior phone/rom didn't trip over. I will try to sort it out, and report back here.
Would you be willing to start a thread over in the LG G3 main forum (not this T-Mobile one)? I hesitate to cross-post, but maybe a wider audience would help us. I doubt this is a T-mo specific problem.

Downgraded from lollipop to kit kat and bluetooth is no longer dropping. However I did have music start automatically playing as you posted here. I will follow the same steps you outlined to stop that from occurring.
i get it where if i've changed the battery(i use the free charger and extra battery) and get in the car, it'll play my ringtones i downloaded from zedge, unless i've started/paused the music before hand...one thing that's irritating to me is that it'll start track that was playing when i got out of the car over when i get back into the car...so if i'm making a bunch of little trips, i hear the same song, over and over and over and over again, unless i skip to the next track each time
