What's up XDA, quick question:
I rooted my phone using a jesusfreak recovery image. Now I would like to try one of the Cyanogen Mod roms. Do I need to root my phone again with a Cyanogen Mod recovery image?
FYI This is a T-mobile G1.

Hey guys.
I tried to flash my HTC Desire with ROM Manager.
I DL'ed the Cyanogen mod 6.0.2 and did a full recovery backup of the system in clockwork mod before continuing with the flash.
I left the phone alone for 20+ minutes, but it kept booting to the blue cyanogen mod bootlogo/flash. It still does that.
What have I done wrong, and can I fix it?
It boots nicely into the HBOOT menu, but I am unable to select the recovery button, it simply doesn't respond.
Is there any way to wipe it and flash the stock 2.2 FroYo ROM & 5.x.x Radio back to it?
Hey,
I'm a bit of a noob and had a question. I have the alliance 7.6 rom with netflix and tried using the bootloader to install this new rom. It quits right after parsing and doesn't go any further. I tried going into my AmonRa 2.3 recovery and flash the zip and doing the KingFormatALL successfully the ROM installed but is it ok to do it this way rather then thru the bootloader?
i tried booting into recovery using clockword mod in rom manager then it came up with a triangle and the andoid guy. is it that im missing my recovery image or i did the wrong way? rooted using zedomax method v4
NEVER MIND FIGURED IT OUT MODS CAN DELETE
Hi to all. I wanted to ask if you can help me telling me more about this (taken from TEAM stock topic):
HOW TO INSTALL:
HAVE AT LEAST 50% BATTERY BEFORE STARTING!
You must also me on a 2.3.4 Stock Firmware
NO DATA WILL BE WIPED DURING INSTALLATION!
1. Boot into Recovery and make a NANDROID BACKUP ( This is really IMPORTANT, as we can't recover your data! If the fan gets soiled )
2. Flash the "TEAM_ROM.zip" via Recovery.
I've unlocked bootloader. Apologize for my bad english i'm italian
Do you have a custom kernel or clockwork mod recovery installed?

No, stock rom and kernel
EDIT: Solved by installing Clockwork mod recovery. Thanks.
Hi guys,
I own both a Galaxy S2 and Ace2. I have already installed CyanogenMod on the S2 and I am about to do the same on the Ace2 using an unofficial release. I have noticed differences in the procedure between the two devices and I would like to understand these differences.
On the S2 you first need to install a custom recovery (ClockworkMod) using Odin before flashing the Cyanogenmod zip. The reason for this is the stock recovery will recognise that Cyanogenmod is a custom ROM and will not permit it to be installed directly.
However on the Ace2 it seems that you can install Cyanogenmod directly from zip using the stock recovery. Does the stock recovery on the Ace2 not have the ability to recognise custom ROMs or does it simply not care?
Thanks in advance.
I don't know about recovery recognision but I know that installing Custom ROM on Ace 2 is easier than on S2. You just need to flash the zip with Cyanogenmod but sometimes Custom ROM's need newer recovery so then you must install temporary CWM recovery to flash that kind of Custom ROM.
