Yep! That's right. If you're trying to install the cabs from i-mate then Imaginet's Arabizer is i-mate branded. Wait (a long time) for i-mate to release WM6 for JASJAM (if ever) or buy your own legit copy of the Arabizer suite.
Arabic on jasjam
Arabic runs with any WM6 version on the jasjam using the attached files (also available on imate jasjam Arabic ROM).
Procedure:
a- Mount your EXTROM using HERMES_MountALLExtROM.cab.
b- Copy the files to the jasjam EXTROM.
. . . 1- Default_ACERT_JSJM_eula.CAB . . . . . . . . . . 243 kb
. . . 2- Default_MultiLang_AR_JSJM_eula.CAB . . . . 755 kb
. . . 3- Default_Imate_WWE_HER_V3.30.00.cab . . . 87 kb *
. . . 4- Default_PT_Reg_FixKeyboard.cab . . . . . . . . . 2 kb *
c- Using File Explorer, run the files and install on the main memory.
*Files 3 and 4 enable Arabic text on the sliding keyboard.
You can install the rest of the suite the same way, or try: http://www.smartnetwireless.com/PocketIslamPPC.htm which is free of charge and can be installed from the computer on the SD card.
Salaam,
You must extract this font.zip in yuor windows directory before you install arabic.
These are arabic fonts.
Best regards
Good luck
Actually it is not necessary to install any extra fonts.
The way I do it is, I install Pocket Islam + Bukhari & Muslim hadeeth packages, I then install the 4 files mentioned above; afterwhich I perform the configuration.
thanks for every one replay to me the message i try to install the cab file but stilll the same problem my device tell me this message can not run in this device .....

at this moment, i'm uploading to you the Arabizer of the JasJam after upgrading to WM6. and it's working perfectly on any Rom. tried and working.
here you go the arabic system and also working arabic on keyboard.
Here you go, download the file, extract it. and move it to your storage card, and instal it in order of the numbers as from 1 to 17.
You have a full arabic working system and keyboard as well.
enjoy

@ GSM system, “Please read the following carefully”.
After installing WM6 and all is well and the phone actually works:
1- Connect through the USB and copy the file (HERMES_MountALLExtROM.cab) to a folder on the phone.
2- Now on the phone, click start menu --> Programs --> File Explorer and find the file (HERMES_MountALLExtROM.cab) and click on it to install it.
3- Once installed, reset (reboot) your phone.
4- Once Windows up and running, you will notice through “Activesync” that you can see EXTROM folder and the files inside it.
5- Copy the 4 attached files to the EXTROM folder to run them from there.
6- Again, on the phone, click start menu --> Programs --> File Explorer and find the ExtROM folder, click on it to open and you will find the 4 files.
7- Install them one by one then reset your phone.
If the above description does not work for you, you need to write a step by step procedure of what exactly you are doing so that we may be able to tell you where you are going wrong.
Q- Are the file format changed when being copied?
thanks Mr. Simple i Appreciate it you brother ... but pleaes where is the file.(HERMES_MountALLExtROM.cab).
thanks to all ... i try to instill all the cab.file i maen the arabic lang but don't work ...i don't know why some device after upgrading to WM6 then instill the 17 cab file the arabic is work okay ...but some device also i-mate ..the arabic is dosen't work ...So ...where is the problem ..if can any one help me ....
best regards
I think with some wm6 roms (like the latest lsvw rom) the device is reset to be an htc tytn device instead of imate jasjam and that what is what is causing the message "cant be run on this device." As u notice when u upgrade to the latest lvsw rom, the device name is set to htc_tytn. This dose not happen on the latest black rom. This is just my thinking why is this happening. I hope someone can solve this issue as I am thinking of going back to black rom.
Salam,
I am glad I was able to help, I have attached the ExtRom mount file.
May I also add that the best version of WM6 for Arabic is LSVW of May 19 which I have been running for the past 4 days without a single problem. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=307951
I have also attached Tahoma font file (not important).
Good luck.
Simple
Do you have Imate JasJam or a different one.
Also the 4 files attached are enough to run everything as what is seen on Jasjam or I have to add some more cabs.
Which pocket islam that is best for our device?
Thanks
I think the arabizer software is signed to work on Imate only

I think the arabizer software is signed to work on Imate only
My device is T Mobile Vario II which is exactlly like the JasJam and the Tytn ..etc.
I tried more than 7 WM6 ROMS, and many ways of installing the Arabizer. but always
got broaken Arabic letters and the message
"can not run on this device"
Please can you all indicate what are you devices brands. Thanks
The phone I have is an i-mate Jasjam, I have upgraded this phone more than 15 times between WM5, WM6, Radio and EXTROM. This is not the first Windows Mobile phone that I have neither it is the first time I install Arabic, In fact I had a role in Windows 98 and Windows 2000 Arabisation many moons ago.
My current configuration is: IPL=1.04, SPL=1.01 MFG, Radio=1.41, OS=WM6 17913 LVSW, EXTROM=cooked. I do not install a complete ROM, and I always install individual component using MTTY.EXE (except for the radio). Immediately after a new install, I fill in user and device info; I then install the Arabic software. Initially I had a problem with the Jasjam sliding keyboard until I identified files 3 and 4 responsible for its activation.
Please notice that:
1- If you manage to install i mate Arabic ROM (WM5)
JASJAM_Arabic_1.20.305.3_1.20.304.104_1.07.03.10_ship.zip available on ftp://ftp.clubimate.com/ . Arabic should be fully functional and we should no longer talk about hardware. Be very careful, things could go wrong.
2- If you install Pocket Islam suite, you will be able to view and type Arabic using the screen keyboard (there may be a RTL problem when writing Arabic).
3- You can install the Pocket Arabiser Suite from http://www.imaginet-software.com/index.aspx?p=arabizer. It should work with any windows mobile device, but the keyboard will not. You know what to do (files 3 and 4).
4- I am not sure if the Arabisation software checks for a Jasjam signature, if such, you may need to install one or all:
. . . Default_MT_PC_Hermes_Generic_REG_060609.CAB
. . . Default_AHermesKBFlag_JSJM_eula.CAB
. . . Default_PP_KeyBoard_Layout.cab
. . . Default_PP_Version.cab
5- Try a clean EXTROM with only Arabic files in it, in case particular files are preventing Arabic files from running.
6- Try the way I do it (review my previous post) it may work for you then you can uninstall the software you do not need.
I apologize for the lengthy post, but I felt it may be important to a lot of people.
Good luck.
Dear Mr. Simple ....
i am thankfull caz you are Support this sabjact ....i have i-mate JASJAM after upgrading to WM6 no accept Arabic that is the problem ..i try any mathed to install arabic but dosen't work ...your mathed and more but no way so please if you can help me ..Mr. Simple to fixed this problem ...
with my best regards
@ GSM system,
Do not worry, if it works for me, it should work for you. Try the following:
1- Download the WM5 jasjam ROM from imate site (mentioned in my previous post).
2- Extract the EXTROM.nb file (this is the complete jasjam extended rom)
3- using MTTY.EXE install it to the phone like this:
USB> task 32
USB> lnb ExtROM.nb 57500000
USB> task 8
3- Ensure you have WM6 (preferably LVSW as it installs the extended rom automatically) is installed.
4- Press (Left Soft Key + Right Soft Key + Reset) all at once and install the whole lot.
5- If it does not install automatically, mount the EXTROM and run Autorun.exe.
I hope you understand that the problem is not in the method/s provided, the problem is in applying them (or your hardware, which is unlikely). Concentrate on using the exact files provided and ensuring the steps are followed carefully.
Now, please notice saying "i try any mathed to install arabic but dosen't work ...your mathed and more but no way so please if you can help me" does not help much. You need to list the exact steps you are executing, at what stage an error appears and the error message.
If all fails, see if you can install the full jasjam WM5 ROM and if Arabic works for you then, if it does not, you may have a Hardware fault.
Can you also tell us; when you bought the phone was Arabic installed on it?
Important: A large number of this forum visitors are people with issues/problems or with development interests. Please have them in mind and ensure that your writing is as clear and descriptive as possible to help them or to enable them to contribute effectively .
Good luck.
Dear Simple ..
i am so sorry to bother you but i don't have any one to helpe me just you the problem now i don't have the Mtty.exe how to find this ...the my another qustion this mathed do by MS dos or how can i do it this ......

@ GSM system,
You still did not come back with what I asked for, a step by step scenario and the error message!!
You need to do a lot of reading, please refer to:http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Hermes and go through some tutorials.
Also to: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_BootloaderMFG where you will find mtty.exe inside the SPL-1.01MFG_Pack.zip file.
I can only tell you 4 points that may save you time when trying to connect:
1- The file you need to load using mtty must be .nb (like EXTROM.nb)
2- to be able to connect the device must be in the IPL SPL page (color screen) to get there press (Power button + OK button + reset) release the reset then the other two.
3- to be able to connect using mtty you must disable activesync USB connection, do the following: right click on the Activesync icon on the task bar, then click on Connection Settings... and uncheck Allow USB connections.
4- It is best to have the file you wish to upload to the phone in the same folder as mtty.exe.
You are now in dangerous territory, navigate very very carefully; you could end up damaging your phone, what you want to learn is not difficult and already on the forum. Make sure you read the WIKI properly and use the search option of this board.
Good luck.
Hi all,
I am trying to port the mediaplus from AtomLife ROMs which has the second version of mediaplus with icons in circle.
I was successfull in extracting the imgfs.bin but there is onemore file ExROM.img which is not giving up.
I Tried
1. winimage
2. extended drive creator
3. scooter kitchen tools
but i am not able to look into the contents, it has the required _QHiddenPartition directory which has all the theme and image files for FMRadio/Mediaplus and Equaliser.
can anybody help me .
regards
Shreedhara
Mediaplus is very tricky..the images are in Ext ROM..but the links to executables are somewhere from the XIP section..any way keep working
Well
I don't think u understand my problem.
I was able to run the Mediaplus(v1.0) app on my Eten M700 earlier when I had WM5 on my eten.
But after I changed it to WM6, I want something new and hence I am trying to get the Atom Life Mediaplus (v2.0), which is better looking than the earlier one.
But SInce the latest ROM's from O2 have differenct format
It contains
lot of asm.mbss files (Motherboard assembly ) and FLASH.DIO and ExROM.img
with XLDR.nb and EBoot.nb0 files also.
But that Extended rom is hardnut to crack, it does not open at all for any tools we have here.
That'swhy I asked for help, so that I can extract it.
Hello Everyone!
I had problems with my Ipaq. It has an italian ROM. So I´d like to flash it with an german ROM. On the HP-Homepage i found an italian and a german ROM. But of course it isn´t possible to use the german version. Couldn't anyone cook or dump a GERMAN ROM for the Ipaq 114? I think here are a lot of Germans who would really really appreciate that.
Many thanks!!!
Thomas Further Informations: Isn´t it possible to overwrite the italian nbf-file with the german one???
Got new informations!!!
Instruction to flash:
1.) You need the german and the italian Rom-update. Both have to unpack on your hard disk!
2.) You connect PDA with the PC, but not with the ac-power.
3.) Start the italian Softpaq. Meanwhile the Update the programm will recognize, that the update does only work with ac-plugged
in.
4.) No you rename the Romfile from the german Update with the name from the italian one and copy it to the folder with the
italian Update
5.) NOW plug in the AC-Power Cable
On this way you bypass the country check - this will be done before the checking of the ac-power.
No ideas???
It must be possible... Here are so many "professionals"!!!
By the way: This is a great forum here. Interesting discussions...
Has anyone experience...
...with the instruction from above???
Thanks for supporting
First, I have to say Hello!, this is my first post in this forum. I own an ipaq 110 classic series with WWE(world wide english).
I'have tried many ways to perform a language change, none of them appears to work, at least in this model. The method described above don't work on ipaqs 110 series, because this model only have a mini-usb port in the bottom end; which supplies data connection and power. Then... How I can "connect the AC power" to the device?. O maybe I'm omitting something.
Sorry about my english, I'm from Spain.
First of all you have to forbid your pda the charging via usb.
Use these settings to do this.
When the software ask, reactivate the settings...
Try it...
Greetings!
Bye the way. My english isn´t better. I´m from germany
EDIT !!!!!
SORRY!
It doesn´t work to deactivate the charging funktion. The problem is, that the pda use just one cable for the datas and for charging.
When you start the rom-update the setup programm automaticly start the charging option. The update starts immediatly...
No chance for overwrite the original language rom-file with the one from - in my case - the german one...
Need help! Please!!! It´s very important for me to have a german system (especially for my software).
additional information: i have a spanish model and i need urgently a german one...!!!!
HELP NEEDED!!!
Finally... I'have found a way to change language on ipaq 110 series (I think I have seen this method somewhere else)...
First you need:
1. ROM update for your device's language (in this case spanish)
2. ROM update what you want to change (germany or other)
both can be downloaded from HP's web page.
You must unpack each ROM in a directory with winrar, by separate, for example in the desktop.
Run the RUU utility of your device's language, the program will make some checkups and tells, it is correct the ROM and the language. Proceed with the update.
THESE ARE THE IMPORTANT STEPS:
1. The progress bar in the PC screen will not move forward, and in the device the screen will show "RUU downloading mode" in a white background (I suppose this is the famous "bootloader mode"). In this moment you have to paste the "HPImage.nbf" from germany ROM (I suggest before you copy the file and let ready for the paste) to the directory with your device original ROM language, you have aprox 5 sec to do so; the update will continue with no warnings. The device's screen will show "downloading mode" and the progress bar in the setup in the PC will reach the end.
2. The device will perform a "CLEAN BOOT" in green letters and... your device is speaking germany (or other language).
I'm not sure how safe the procedure is.
I suggest you run the ROM update of your original device language before doing the change, to check the screens, the timing, etc.
Hope it works in your device. Mine now is speaking spanish.
Regards.

Netherlands ROM
Hi, a have a problem, i got Ipaq 114 witch Netherlands ROM (NLD, Dutch) and i would like English, German or French (it does not matter), but to flash i need Netherlands rom to, but on official HP site it isn't (just only English, German or French). Can anybody help me pls, give me some link to Netherlands rom? thx
I have the actually german based ROM (April 2008) and wondering about this symptom:
Always when I connected my "blank" IPAQ 114 to active sync (sync with local Outlook) "and make" a new partnership - the Time on my PDA is "-9 hours" from our local time.
I test this with other IPAQ 114, with other Windows XP, and other AS 4.5 - always the same problem. If I use an other PDA (HTC Touch HD, Pro, S740) all work fine and the time on this devices are correct...
Any Idea what is the timesync Problem with ipaq 114 and active Sync?
the Language settings, time zones are correct on the IPAQ114.
I found a solution for an old IPAQ 6315 :But is that the really solution?
I found out that this is a know problem by HP. There is no current fix, but they did provide me with a work around. The work around is a 2 step process and both must be done before performing an ActiveSync. If not, the problem will become worse by advancing all the appointments in the host's calander. First, in the date and time properities on the PC, UNCHECk the automatically adjuct clock for daylights saving time box. Second, if the IPAQ is located in Eastern Standard Time, set the IPAQ's time zone to Indiana (IN) as they do not observe DST. If in MST set the time zone to AZ. If in CST set the time zone to Saskatchewan, Canada.

Does anyone here have any idea if is possible to update an iPAQ 116 (that is pretty much the same as the 110 and 114) from WM6.0 to WM6.5?
I have one here but I don't even have it's instalation CD. For some reason I can't connect it by USB, just by Bluetooth.
Any help?
Hello, I'm new here, and I have been attempting to make two custom ROMs for the HP iPAQ 21x series, and I ran into a huge problem. I have two dump folders, and I can't figure out how to turn either of them into an NBH(or NBF) file. Any help would be highly appreciated.
Edit:Oh, and also, in case anyone was wondering, I'm trying to make them a Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM and a Windiows Mobile 6.5 ROM, and they are both(as far as I know) clean, except for the HP stuff.
nbh or nbf... ? for what ? it is inpossible to flash it back, you need bldiag.nb0 and hpimage.bin (foxconn format) but fortunatly pdocwrite works fine, so you need to: dump or download dump of imgfs (part02, os) unpack it via imgfstodump, cook to wm 6,1 or 6.5, then convert back to imgfs via imgfsfrom dump, and write via pdocwrite, xip can be also writed by this way, xip is part01, it works but i'm not a rom cooker so I cant cook it myself...
edit: it is also possible to edit marvell obm's and bootloader, but only via linux
edit2: here is my post about ipaq 214 and pdocwrite http://forum.brighthand.com/showpost.php?p=1762892&postcount=4
edit3: it will also works on any 21x and 11x and as I think on other hp devices manufactured by foxconn
I'm sorry elektrownik, but I don't really get what you're saying, I'm not very experienced with this ROM stuff, this is the first time I've ever tried to make one. But in response to what you're asking(I think), I was going to make them NBH files, make a backup ROM image of the device, and then use the HP RUU, which I have made to look for a file called 'RUU_signed.nbh'(what I will name them), to update the device via Activesync connection.
Update:OK, I've managed to get a little further, and now I have two BIN files, and two NB.PAYLOAD files, and I'm pretty close to turning them into NB Files.
But how do you want to sign it for hpruu it need hp cert and key, or did you cracked it. Anyway here is default rom. http://rapidshare.com/files/2236847...n_marked_internally_with_custom_extra_data.7z
Oh, well I didn't know it had to be signed, but in the ROM files which I was basing mine off of(which I thought you made) was an HP digital signature file(.cer) that said it went an HP 21x Image Update, I clicked on it, Windows said it installed the certificate, and then the file dissapeared. I'm not sure if that will help use the HP RUU or not, but I found it kind of odd. Also, if you'd like to take a look at it I can put it up for download somewhere(there was another one).

What parameters did you use for Tadzio's imgfs tools on NBSplit?
Fdo35 do you know how to flash ipaq 21x?
Maybe you can work together with some people already trying to make wm6.5 rom....

What's "parameters", I don't know what you mean. Also I don't remember using NBSplit, I started out with a IMG file which I then dumped.
Edit:Oh wait, I see what you mean. I didn't use NBSplit, I was following the attached directions to reconstruct ROM, except it wasn't for the device the file specified, and instead of 'imgfs.bin', I used a file called 'ipaq214.img', and instead of 'Windows.nb' I used a file called 'flash.nb'. And, I'm pretty sure that elektrownik made both files.
lol why you all dont read what i wrote, i have rom, which was reconstructed from dump, but it impossible to flash it from sd like on htc by flash.bin, ipaq 214 need bldiag.nb0 and hpimage.bin to be flashed from sd, but those files never was released so it is impossible to study format in which they coming, 214 can be also flashed from pc, but it need foxconn application and like before hpimage.bin, and there is official metchod - hpruu, but files which it use need to be signed first, we dont have cert and key to sign them, it wold be possible to patch hpruu to delate sign validation but i dont see anyone who working on this, as i wrote only one working metchod is pdocwrite application, i check it and it works, but i'm not room cooker so i cant cook wm 6.1 or 6.5 imgfs...
I think there are quite few topics about it.
It would be maybe better to have EVERYTHING relevant in one so everyone who posesses knowledge can help.
Now it looks that we (you) are inventing hot water... no offence - i appreciate all the hard work you put into this. But we (you) need better cooperation and clean topic.
I am grateful to everyone who share and try to make something. Respect to you all!
Kind regards,

The HP iPAQ 110 has a ROM update on HP's website, is it possible to get any of those files from that?

Hey, sorry to start another thread, but I noticed that on HP's web site there was a ROM Update for the iPAQ 110 series, and I remembered that the reason why the iPAQ 210 couldn't be flashed was because we didn't have certain files needed to flash to it. And, I was wondering if it was possible to get any of those files from it, or maybe even replace the IMGFS partition to make it compatible with the iPAQ 210(and change the OS version too), and use hpruu.exe to flash it to the iPAQ 210, if that's possible that is.
Edit:I have Windows Mobile 6.1 and 6.5 IMGFS(in BIN format), so I don't need anyone to do that.
Well I suppose if that's not possible, is there any way I could use a program like pdocwrite to write the files to the IMGFS partition, and if so, how?
Well, I guess I'll just try to get an HTC Touch HD and flash a Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM to it instead of trying to develop one for the iPAQ 210. Oh, well, at least I tried. Here are the 6.1 and 6.5 IMGFS partition files for it in case anyone wants them.
Note:The File Hoster will only allow 10 downloads, so only download if your actually going to do something with it.
