I've just updated my Touch Pro 2 to WM 6.5 using the offical ROM from this site and have spent the last hour search the forums trying find how to get my Battery icon back onto the taskbar.. any ideas would be appreciated.

I just upgraded to WM6 and now a bunch of my alt keys are wrong.
Heres what I get when I press the following:

@ = ?

As you can see it can be very annoying. Is there anyway to remap these keys?
yes and it's all over these forums.
I assume you have a cingular 8525. Try searching for a cingular keyboard fix, there's at least a half a dozen ways to do it.

I ended up creating a .CAB file to do the registry changes for my SoftBank X01HT keyboard.
I have only tested my Cab File on a SoftBank X01HT - not the Cingular model.

Different keyboard layouts for different Hermes versions
Issue: When applying a non-cingular ROM to an 8525 its default keyboard is different than the 8525.
The Fix:

for someone who knows nothing what does this mean? this is like reading chinese
If your using a WM6 Schap ROM do this
Goto Start>Settings>System>Advanced Config>Misc> then theres an option that says "Keyboard Layout: English"....Change that to Cingular in the dropdown menu.
I have wm6 but not the version you are speaking up because mine goes as far as this Start>Settings>System>I have no advanced config

I downloaded schap's ROM so hopefully it will correct the problem. Thanks for the tip

i have created a fast NLD rom but before i launch it if have one problem.
i have installed a new tasbar icon pack with 0 to 100 % icons for the battery.
my problem is that i cant seem to find out how to get all the 100 icons to work
if i have a full battery the battery icon say 20%
i know what i need to change in the registry but i can't find the file in the oem of sys folder

at first sry for my bad school english, its over 10 years ago...
ich have some problems with wifi turn un in unattendet mode.
ich have change the reg. value
hlcm/bcmsddhd1/parms/htckeepwifionwhenunattendet
from 0 to 1, but when i turn my tp2 in standbye mode it works, but only about 15 up to 30 minutes.after this time the reg entry change by itself !
ich have try to use any tools, like rhodium tools, hd tweak etc... but nothing works.
after every softreset the entry change to 0
at last i have hardreset the tp2 and no programm installed, but it´s the same.
i used the original wm6.5 german o2 rom.

Ok, I have been searching for a while now trying to figure out how to get my touch pro 2 start menu back to the original one. I have found many articles and information on it telling me to do:

Yet, this setting is defaulted to 0 on mine and I still have the new one. Does anyone have any other thoughts? I have tried changing it to 1 and nothing. I changed it back. I did do soft reset after changing it.
I think there's another regedit you need to do in addition to the one you've already done. Try doing the reverse of this pocketnow.com article and see if that works. But keep in mind that if you're using a cooked ROM, especially one with Manila 2.5, it's probably not been included by the chef.
Why not just use QuickMenu? It's better than the original Start Menu.

Which one? There are a few different taskbars. Search down the list of threads for taskbars
