Transfer localization files - Hero, G2 Touch Android Development

Hi all!
I use Modaco 2.2, so thank you Modaco for the work you do for us all. I have a question.
HTC Russia released new (1.5, unfortunately) firmware, wich contains better russian translation of settings menu. Is it possible to transfer localization files from new russian firmware to my current Modaco 2.2?
Thank you for your help!

up! i can't believe that it is not possible

German ROM to English ROM

Hi everyone,
I have just bought an XDA Mini in German and it has a german langguage software (of course). Since its a new device for me, I dont really have much experience in XDA. I ever heard something like flash and ROM but not really am sure what it actually is.
My question is:
1. Is it possible to convert or to upgrade the software and change it into an english version?
2. If it is possible, what should I do to get this english version? Cause I dont really like using it in German.
3. What are the consequences if I change my software into an english version?
Thanx a lot...

hi
hello , go to the forums mentioned 'upgrading and installing software ....' .there they mentioned clearly how to do the rom updation to change the language...it is simple
have fun..
Loading the WWE (World wide english ROM)
To change your Qtek9100 to English follow the instructions here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=188641&highlight=#188641
1st unlock the CID on your phone (use the unlock tool posted on site above) Once you have unlocked the CID you will then be able to flash the rom (link to english rom also on above website)
remember, unlocks and rom flashing should be done via USB and not btooth or infrared.

You found it on www.t-mobile.de
Have fun.
Damn, its all german site. I cannot understand anything. Can you give a direct link to the page(not to the exe)
Sorry my friend,
i dont know how? Go to www.t-mobile.de / Klingeltöne&mehr / select your Phone "Mein Handy - Modell ändern" / Software&Konfiguration / Gerätesoftware. There you will find it. Its Aku3.3 and its damm fast!

Is this WWE or German ROM? Beside when you say it is fast. What you have been using before this ROM
As the Man Stated on the Top,The Rom is in German,if you can't find your way through the Page because of the language, then the Rom is NOT for you..
Greets & Thanks for the Info...
I wonder if TMobile will soon release a English version...???

The Rom is german. I use a lot of Roms before, the best an most stable one, was KDSkamal, WM5 Ultimate edition. Now i will test this official Rom from T-Mobile. If KDSkamals Rom is in german, it will be perfectly! Sorry, for my bad english.

Hi Alex,
Of course the ROM will initially be in German.
But is the language customizable? Can you change it to WWE?
I've tested the S710, and that device you could change the language of the OS. You had to do a hardreset afterwards, but ah, you've just did a ROM-upgrade so everything is gone anyhow.

Any ideas on this from anyone?
Changing regional settings doesn't do much. Try changing them to German or anything in your WWE ROM and you'll see the vast majority of the OS is still English.

Changing Regional settings will not change the OS language. In order to change the OS language you would need to exchange all the *.mui files ( Like "shellres.dll.0407.mui" for german ) with English *.mui files

[Q] Languages in Original roms

Hi.
I'm urooting my HTC Desire since i'm selling it and buying the new HTC Sensation . I wonder in Norwegian language is lovated on these original roms I can download from xdadevelopers site? The new owner doesn't want a rooted phone.

[Q] Latest MIUI ROM on Chinese?

I have recently installed on my Desire Z, MIUI ROM version 2.3.30 (I downloaded it from official site), and after flashing it appears that default language is set to Chinese So, my question is - how can I change it on English, because I searched on internet and unfortunately I didn't found anything (ie. I didn't found any language packs for this version)? Thanks in advance!
did you attempt to find your way into settings and change the language to english?
if you did and there isnt any english option my advice is to try a different rom for now
I already tried that, but with no success I asked same question on official forum, but there is no answer yet...

Flash different region rom (need different languages)

Hello Android people! Im sorry if my question is somehow stupid, I dont know anything from Android devices.
A friend of mine asked me to get him a phone. We are in Scandnavia which means there are Scandinavian languges + WWE on the device. He would like to get Dutch or German language, so I thought I just flash a new rom. I downloaded an official European rom but the languages stayed the same.
What am I missing here?
Did ya try going into settings/ language & keyboard? Change language there
