Is this same mean with uspl and cid unlock
well people think the same....that's what counts...although cid and uspl are not the same...
uspl is used to cid unlock your device

Hi,
I have an Wizard with IPL /SPL 1.05, I unlock CID, then upgraded to AK2U rom(IPL/SPL 2.17), then tried CID unlock with lokiwiz, unlocking failed with error:...
CopyFileToTFFS(cidunlocked.bin:0, 0, 00010000)
ERROR: ITWriteDisk - internal error.

However, I still can 2sd all & write back the full rom.
So, my thinking is :
1) once the CID is unlocked, we can flash the pda with any rom & the cid remain unlocked after flashing.
2)To change language on AK2U rom,I think we can tried to downgrade the rom into IPL/SPL 1.xx, by using a same country/brand rom. e.g. downgrade a German Qtek AK2U rom with a German Qtek 1.xx rom, then unlock cid, we might be able to flash it into any other language/brand.
3) But what is the reason for the cid unlock fail? Is it due to the 2.xx IPL or 2.xx SPL? Or due to the os version? or combination of some/all reason?
4) Is the CID lock located in the IPL? or SPL? or OS?
if ai locked cid on my mistake waht happends i can repair this or not ??
HI!
Have a question how could I see the phones cid?
hoho?
also the modell id, cid, etc
Its just so i can do a nbh signed for my version =)
thanks if you could help
Its for sweden 3 branded htc
I dont think you can see the cid, however a hardspl will disable the cid so you will be able to install any rom,,, you can also unlock the cid using software.. search forum for software
I needed to have the RUU for my CID : T MOB101.
Thanks
I'm following vomer's guide but had to use sunshine since firewater didn't work. I noticed that my cid says t-mobo10 something like that opposed to the 1111111111. It does say s-off but does this mean that I won't be able to do anything?

CID has nothing to do with s-off. You can however change the CID to anything you want once you are s-off.
If you wanted to change CID to SuperCID, this is the command:
fastboot oem writecid 11111111
