Hi,
My phone does not work with GSM network band.
When I change Band from Auto to GSM my phone gets off.
When I change band from Auto to WCDMA my phone works with 3G network properly. I can make voice and video calls. But in auto mode, whenever 3G signal strength decreases, so phone goes into GSM mode and phone gets off.
Many many ROM's I tried, and many Radio ROM's I tried...
My Bootloader Screen :

i have experimented with 3sim cards( 2 diff.net)but nothing.also i had not results with radio 1.00.25.05, 1.11.25.1, 1.09.25.23,and 1.02.something..i dont remember.i have not found solution with.if someone try another radio,please let write here the version.
finally yesterday i went at htc service representative.i believe it is a hardware problem

it is unsigned, you would need the developer Hard SPL for that

I have tested GPS fix just after flashing Panosha light 4 Rom. First fix in 9 seconds,with IGO8 (very good),second and third fixes instantly. Now I will test 2G and 3G signal in some "bad zone"

It all runs on a single Chip inside our Diamonds ;-)

How did you start the RUU? Try it from bootloader menu.
1, Bootloader
2, Start ruu.
So, I give you my feedback :
This ROM Radio give me only an EDGE connection.
Where I am, usualy I get a poor reception of 3G signal with .03 an .05 ROM.
But, with the .02.25.11 I've got no 3G signal.
No difference for me with the GPS fix.
For the moment, I'll back to the .05 one.

I have been using this phone for a while now. Its been working very well till today. Today I tried to install some themes and they ended up occupying my full phone memory. So I did some googling and decided to do a hart reset as I didnt have any valuable software installed.
I went ahead with the Hard reset by clicking 'clear storage' and typing 1234
The phone rebooted and got my memory back and everything except that it not connecting to a network. any network.
I use the 2G version of Touch Diamond in India (GSM). It keeps saying cannot register to network. I've tried different networks with SIM cards which are working well with other mobiles and both manual and automatic network selections.
I have done SIM unlocking done in the street as soon as I got the phone, as this came packaged with Airtel. But now the phone is not registering with any network, including airtel.
My stats are
ROM : 1.93.720.2 WWE
Radio : 1.20.OliNex.
SPL 1.23-Hard
Q1 : Does that mean I have HardSPL already?
Q2 : Would re-installing my Radio solve the present problem.?
What should I be doing.

Have you gone to start/ settings / connections "connection setup"?
Just tried doing it. I detected the settings for Vodafone which is my current network, restarted ,but it failed to register again.
The exact message was :
Network error :
Cannot register on selected network. Chose another network or disconnect data connection and try again.
I am pretty sure I have no data connection active

Never heard of a DIAMOND 2g ? but if its an CDMA the following wouldnt apply !!!
What radio version do you have ?? 1.20 is you SPL ....
go bootloader mode (soft reset + vol down + powerbutton) and write down everything you see there ....
NOT FOR CDMA User!!!

hmmm .. i would think its still any type of Sim lock in it, so i would try to contect cmonex / Olipro for a solution ! i think if you donate a bit they can help you with code unlocking.
Did u also Flashed another HardSPL ?
what does tri color bootloader promt out ?
I would try and Flash a new HardSPL Olipro's 1.40 is a good start rather than Jocky's 1.23 (shipped)
Then a ROM that includes a radio - perhaps DuttyThroys
Let us know how you get on...
Before you go to the shop - on the way you can always slap the man in the street that is using pirate unlocking software too - I hope you did not pay him.

Mate, I was about to ask the same question..?
Since my Diamond is an India specific one (ie NO 3G, Only GSM, GPRS and EDGE), I thought of flashing the India specific ROM presently available on HTC's website which also includes radio 1.00.25.07.
so arise Q : Should I upgrade the HardSPL or shall I Flash the new ROM as it is with my 1.23 Hard..?
As its unlocked by code i would recommend you to flash a shipped rom !
Hard SPL 1.23 or 1.40..? Signed or unsigned if I am flashing the shipped ROM..?

if you flash your shipped rom it will be signed so no need to upgrade your spl.. dont know which u flash so i would say SPL also will be updated and you need to hardSPL after that... just give it a try ...

I can see that by looking at the Radio version you had posted previously - I think this is the one which was part of a package leaked on the internet to unlock the Diamond.

From what you show - I can confirm you have Unsigned HardSPL and that you phone has been unlocked (perhaps with stolen software) to use any sim - Hope this helps.

hi guys.
i got indian 2g diamond(diam 140).
not i got it 2nd hand from someone. and i find its security unlocked and a preinstalled 1.20.Olinex radio already exists. also its hard spl 1.40.
read a few threads but nothing was much clear.
many ppl claimes that updating to any other custom rom will stop all networks and my diamond will stop getting any networks on any other roms.
i took the risk and flashed it with swtos lite rom and till now everything is working.
now i want to change the radio to somwthing better than the current one.
is it possible that this time i may lock my phone to all netwoorks??
Security Unlock is NOT sim unlock. If the guy told u that it's unlocked to all the networks already then switching radios does nothing to interfere with that.
Switch Radios and let me know how it goes.
I bought a touch diamond 'unlocked' with 1.20.Olinex, I couldn't get my network to register.
I have since paid for Oliinex's unlocking, however my fone will still not connect to ANY network. I believe Olipro is trying to help me solve the dilemna...
I would say if ur happy with ur ROM/Radio now DO NOT flash it until someone confirms that you will not brick ur phone....
Consider that it has the Olipro 1.20 it should have Hard SPL on it already. But if you can, put your device into BOOTLOADER mode (Soft Reset then press the volume down button) please write what you see on the rainbow like screen and then we can take it from there.

I should say that it is already Sim unlocked as the purpose of the installed Radio is mainly used for that.

hey. here is another problem.
i also wanted to buy diamond 3g. a friend of mine is offering me diamond 3g which is security unlocked but am not sure if its sim unlocked. only vodafone and idea networks worked on it and not airtel. so i tried updating its radio to 1.11 and also its rom to swtos lite and now even vodafone and idea is not working on it.
that is no operator network works on it now. what do i do.? also i wanted to tell u that this model is the testing model which htc released to ppl who review the device before its launched. does it makes any difference?
also is it sure that it is sim locked and OLIPRO's sim unlocker will solve my problem?

I, succesefuly, upgrade my HTC Diamond from radio 1.00.25.03 to 1.11.25.1 and from fabric ROM (i don't know version) to RaL.GT1H. Before that i install OliNex 1.40 to my phone. Phone work 1-2 days ok and after that start to freeze it. After hard reset it start to configure system again (algin screen, chose time and date, install cabs...). I try to add another ROM (Memo 2.5.2.1_FULL_12Page, Raffo_V3.5_Full_WWE, Satus_Rom_R3.0a_Reloaded_-_Sense_25_1921, Win 6.5 Clean - DONsalari & Basics_1.13a_Sense25) and i'ts all works ok and after 1-2 days same story ... freeze and i must hard reset and setup again all settings...
Anyone help me to solve this freeze problem.
