I have the HTC Pro2 from Vodafone. Somehow the small clock in the top bar has changed to analogue but I can’t change it back to digital. I think normally on windows mobile you select and hold the clock then the option to change it appears, but when I do that it opens the notification screen?
cheers
Glenn
you'll find the corresponding registry entry here:
hkcu\software\microsoft\shell
even easier:
press and hold on the little clock, then you can change from analog to digital or vice versa
Thanks Mesquire that did the job - you wont beleive how wound up I have been getting trying to change it back. I had to reset for it to take affect though, is there a way to reload without the reset buton?
You could try to disable the notification manager so it reverts back to windows mobile original - that way you maybe able to switch the display like heiks has suggested which is how older devices behave.

So which registry value is it under this path? And what do the corresponding values do?

Hello,
I have installed the JUVS_HTC_Home_Color plugin that is really nice but in the top bar appears the small clock and I would like to change by a battery indicator (I already have a big clock with the htc home plugin.)
Other thing is how to replace the "home" word by the operator name ... if its possible.
thanks
To change to battery set hklm\software\microsoft\shell\ShowTitalBarClock to 0 and softreset.
Operator should already show if not try reinstalling.

If there is 0, it shows battery indicator, if there is 1, it shows clock. But what shall I do if I don't want any of them ?

Use HTC Home Customisation (search for HHCv08b) to change this to your preferred setting (show either one of them, both or none are the options as I recall).

If You mean setting "HTCHC --> Options --> Titlebar Clock --> Enable/Disable" in HTC Home Customizer, I think it works the same way as changing "ShowTitleBarClock" value in the registry
I haven't found any setting that allows You to disable both indicators in HTC Home Customizer :-(
The solution I found is to use Schaps Adv config, it has option to disable both indicators - but it seems that removed indicators are replaced with rectangle which partially masks volume icon, what makes this solution not very smooth ...
So I let there battery indicator - it is useless there, but I don't know about better solution

Yeah, I can help you, but WHAT icon do you want. As you can tell your statement contradicts itself. So which icon doesn't show up, the one next to your clock or the Bigger icon. You said the calendar icon next to you clock no longer shows up, but you want the bigger icon, HUH?!?
no it dosent contradict it self because in the corner of each panel theres a tiny icon and then next to the clock theres a big icon so i clafied that, i need the big icon right next to the numbers of the clock. it was a calender or soemthing please help its drivin me nuts
I think I know what you're trying to say
First off don't be so quick to jab, you are coming here for help you know. I was just pointing out that what you said really isn't describing your problem correctly.
That being said. I think what you are referring to is your alarm. It has a picture and it's right next to your clock as you call it or the time display portion of your Clock Panel. Anyway, it only shows when your alarm is present. Try turning on your alarm and see if that does it.
If that is not what you are talking about, then the only other thing I could think of is that you mean your tiny icon could be your inactive icon or your active icon. These would require registry edits to put them back on your screen. You need to go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CHome\Clock and edit where it says the icon paths are. Not hard to do. Also you might want to edit the HKLM\Security\CHome\Default Settings\Clock portion of the iconpaths. This should fix that. If that is your problem. Other than that, you're on your own. Unless you can articulate yourself better or in a fashion in which all can understand you or your dilemma!!
Cheers!

Clock falls behind
I'm having problems with the clock falling behind. I go to sleep, wake up, and the clock is about 20-30 minutes behind. I'm running the 6.1 rom. Any help is appreciated.

So are you saying that, with knowing the right key in the registry, one could change that dinky looking transparent music note on the Music panel to, say, something with more class? I have several icons at my disposal (as I'm sure most here do) and would love to change that icon...Also, the tiny icon on the upper left corner of the home panel just next to the carrier (T-Mo) is just a calendar...it was something different before I hard reset the phone with this ROM installed. If you know these keys, please list them! I'd appreciate it ever so much!
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CHome\ and HKLM\Security\CHome\Default Settings

Just find the folder of the panel you wish to modify and look for the key iconpath, within that folder. Direct it to your own icon.
FYI export the keys just in case you goof up something, you can import them again

Click on the clock panel and scroll to the auto-update time option and uncheck it.

I see where the string for icon paths entry reads 2401;2401...should I just change that to \Windows\music.png?

yup in both reg address though
Also you would have to type it out as: \Windows\music.png;\Windows\music.png
Cause the first is for active window icon and the second is for inactive window icon.
ok well...it changed the small icon in the title of the panel but not the main icon
I want to replace the WM6.1 default transparent music note with the png I have placed in windows...where do I alter that or can I?
can you post a screen shot of the icon you want changed.
i cant picture which one you are speaking off.

Try going to the reg to and changing HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CHome\CMusic\Images\chMusic_noalbumart and the same in Security reg for chome. I think those change the big default icon that shows when no album art is present.

Thanks for the tip. For clarity, I speak of the transparent music note that is positioned just to the left of "Play All Songs" within the panel. Now I can't believe it'd be too hard to spot. I've flashed my phone with Kavana's so those with that ROM can't have too different a panel!
On that note, pun intended, I may have found it due to your suggestion Showaco! I should have investigated more. I mean it was right there!

Hi,
I am running the awesome Energy.BLACKSTONE.23557.Sense2.5.Cookie.HomeTab.Apr.14, however the bottom taskbar with the windows flag and action and Menu contacts on, is there any way that i can change the colour or look of these.
Awesome Rom
Yes you can change everything click to the theme in my signature and see fo example the buttons if you understand and you know how to do it you can create whatever kind of buttons, icons and bars you want.
So I let my son (about 18 months) play with my tilt 2 for a few seconds, and when I grabed it I saw that the clock on the main screen changed to an analog style, rather than the default style. I've checked all the settings I could think of and I can't find anything that manages this. I'm using a custom ROM, Cell Pro. Does anyone know where to change this setting?
Do you have CHT on it? If so, you can use the CHT editor to change it back

Try swiping down on the home screen to restore the default clock.
Don't the Cell Pro ROMs have this unique theme-/clock-switching app that changes the appearance of the clock?
And, yes, if it has Co0kie's Home Tab Mod built-in: Home Tab > Menu > Edit Home Layout > (choose whatever "level" you're in) > Advanced > Clock: (choose the clock you had before).
Thanks for the advice, but it has not worked. I tried to install the Co0kies tab, but no new options showed up. The home menu only has a Phone and Camera option. I just did a hard reset and now it's back. Thank for the responses!
I have a Tasker profile that I setup to open the Desk Clock when I put my DInc in the cradle by my bed to use as an alarm clock. When I did this it automatically switched to the "dim" mode. This was on a Sense ROM so I'm assuming that was part of the Sense clock. So, my question is: how can I do this with CM? When I set Tasker to open the default clock it opens but it's really bright and I have to hit the little sun/moon icon which is really what I want. But then at some point the screen goes to another mode where it's kindof a blue color with just the clock and date. I'm assuming that's some kind of screensaver but no idea where that's coming from or how it's managed. If I could get this to automatically start that would be ideal.
Any ideas?
Great question. I think the Sense clock could be launched into night mode via activity com.htc.android.worldclock.NightClock
I don't see the same activity available for the AOSP clock, but I could certainly be missing something.
FYI - if you long-press the night/day button instead of just tapping it, you'll go straight to screensaver mode (the blue clock on black background). You can also control how long it takes to get there: go to alarms, settings, screensaver timeout (and you can also change the color)

That helps a lot. Thanks. Maybe it's time for me to write my own clock app
If anyone knows how to go directly to the screensaver mode using Tasker I'd give lots of thanks
I've just been doing this:
*If phone is on side
*if phone is plugged in via usb
*then launch clock
screensaver comes on pretty quick after that.
