hello, newbie here
i have got an o2 XDA zest, and would like to know how i can get windows mobile 6.5 running on it, as 6.1 is not very finger friendly, i think its manufactuered by HTC? looking at all these roms is confusing me a little and i wont want to brick it so i have a few questions
Can it be done on my model?
and how , ?
please could i have some advice on what is the best process and rom to use for a newb, a link to a how to post or something like that would be great, I did try searching but i couldnt find much info.

Hello,
I just picked up an HTC 6800 unit branded the P4000 from Telus. It came with WM5 and I would like to load WM6 on it. I've been reading lots around here trying to get all the tools and information I need to move forward but more than anything I'm nervous that I will brick my phone. I know my phone is very new and I'm not sure if these tools will work on my model or not?
From what I understand I need to use the CID Unlock to allow me to upgrade my ROM and Radio for WM6.
I think with a little trial and error that I have enough knowledge to get this working it's just like I said I'm not sure if these tools will work on my phone.
Can someone please tell me if this will work or give me some links to other posts that might help.

DO NOT UPGRADE with WM6 in this forum! the phone you have is the Herald which is not the same as the Hermes. If I am right yours has a 200mhz chip and the keyboard slides out to the right. If you upgrade with the Hermes WM6 it will brick your device.

dude, can i ask a question....i realize your new, and we all were at some point, but did you read anything here? for example, there is a thread that will tell you where to get 6.1, the files for the install and step by step instructions with pictures. this is the thread name :

I have a touch 6900 or vogue... and would like to know if this can run win mo 6.5. I have flashed custom roms, it and it looks like it is win mo 6.0. And the roms dont seem to work w/ what I have

can someone prvide me a link for 6.5. I have searched the forums and cannot find a link for it.
Will this change my phone settings? Metro cannot flash 6.5 only 6.1 seems like

Do some searches, and you'll find your answer. 6.5 ROMS for this phone have been available for a long time.
Am I correct that 6.5 is the windows operating system? if so I need a limk to get the updated operating system I have done countless searches
or am I just an idiot and all these 6.5 roms will work on windows 6.0??

All roms in this forum are wm 6.5.
so back to my first question can someone provide a link to get wm 6.5 on touch vogue or is that not do-able??
It is very do-able and you are already on the right page for it. Any post with more than 100 replies most likely contains a 6.5 Rom for the HTC Touch.
