Hey Guys
I have my tp2 for like 3months now, and till so far i like it very much!
Until yesterday, my phone started to run out of battery in like a coupe hrs after i fully charged it. Today, same thing. Could this have something to do with the fact that i installed some apps couple days ago? My cpu percentage is fine btw.
Or could this be a battery failure and does battery goes with my warranty?
Greeets,
Kay
hey whats up man, i dont have the answer to your delimma. but ive had my euro unlocked tp2 for about 2 months too and i started to have the same issue about a week ago. so i just wanted to let you know that your not the only one out there.
Obviously, your battery should not be dead only after a couple months. It's highly likely that you've got an app acting up. A sure way to know is to hard reset, don't install any apps, and see if you've still got the same problem.

Hi all, i have the mda pro (t-mobile UK) Had tried lots of roms before but in the end i stuck with the latest official t-mobile rom & radio.
In the last few weeks i every time i try to connect with gprs the signal goes, other times the phone just goes dead, wont reboot properly for a few try's( gets to the windows mobile logo then dead again.
After a few try's it will boot up, but it turns off alot i mean just about every time i open up the phone. I thought maybe the battery but when i get it to boot up its fine %70 battery ect ect.
Its still under warrenty and is actual being sent back tomorrow for repair but i have a feeling they will just reflash and send it back as the problem is random.
Anybody any ideas whats wrong? did a hard reset and problem if anything is worse now and seems to be getting worse everyday. Ofcourse i dont know when the phone has went belly up as its closed over when not in use.
I really would like a replacment phone but as i said i think they will reflash and send back. I have to keep sim, battery ect.ect.
Info anyone.
With those symptoms my first thought would be a faulty battery. If i were you, I would insist on returning the battery for replacement as well.
Are Battery's covered under the first years guarantee?
Iam almost sure its the battery also, but the battery holds fine after it reboots, Having said that it never lasts anywhere near 24hrs and never has.

No big deal i will buy a new battery and i got a brand new mda pro again.

I have recently installed Artemis Touch 4.01 on my XDA Orbit. This seemed fine for a week or 2, but recently, I have found the phone swited off in my pocket (not in standby, i.e. hold power button in for few secs to swich back on).
Could this be a software bug, as this has never happened on O2 firmware?
If the only explanation for this is that the power button has been inadvertently pressed, can the keypad lock be set to lock automatically?
Thanks
Flashed to Touch 4.02 last night and I'm having the exact same problem.
I flashed to ARTEMIS TOUCH 4.02 2 weeks ago and have had my XDA Orbit shut off 7-10 times already. One of those times was when I was on a phone call with a friend. I just reflashed to ARTEMIS TOUCH VANILLA 4.02 today and have already had it shut off on me while I was driving. Can anyone make any sense of this? Any suggestions to fix this horrible problem of ours?
Battery ?
Hi folks,
I had my XDA doing strange things too. Battery status (%) all over the place, fast drain aso. found the XDA switched off. Was thinking about ROMs, SD card (I've a 8 gig one) and BT which I use regular, but the easy solution
I just bought a new battery
Standby is back to 3 days with some use in between, doesn't switch off unintended anymore.
May just think off how old your battery might be and how often you loaded it!
I was also thinking it was the battery so I decided instead of buying a brand new one I would drain the power and start from scratch. Yesterday I drained the battery down to 0% then recharged it. Since then I haven't had it shut off on me. I'll let you guys know the progress on if its fixed or not.. lets hope so. Thanks for the suggestion fun! I'll check back in about 5-7 days letting you guys know what has happened.
i went into settings/today and checked off the check box for htc home, this reset htc home to default settings (but still displays it regardless of the checkbox value) and it's been fine since...
wtf?
i've only had these problems since 4.02, everything was fine until then (I was on 3.xx before that and B&B before that and it's always been fine).
I've also flashed to Vanilla 4.2 with Radio 03.08.90 and the phone cut out on me during conversation and after that it would say invalid simcard.
After that I had it flashed with the original O2 WM6 ROM and radio 03.08.90 and now I have no power drain at all.
I've had it charged almost 25 hours ago and had not used the phone but for one call and just to check the time on it and I am still on 100 percent power. (battery Status)
I am amazed. Before, by this time I would be down to 85 or so percent.
I had just soft reset the phone to make sure Battery Status didn't get stuck on 100 percent but it still says 100 percent after the reboot. So I guess it's true.
The Rom is stable and no turn offs and works great with TomTom too.
This happened to me and flashing never fixed it. The problem is more than likely the battery but I took mine back to o2 (because it is on contract. You have a waranty for the same length as your contract, they just dont tell you). Take it back the shop, if its not your fault they will fix it. In my case they couldn't and they gave me a brand new XDA Orbit and battery.
Alright guys its been 5 days since I posted and guess what? My Orbit has yet to shut off! Woo hoo *knock on wood*. But if any of you would like to try what I did just let you battery drain out until its fully drained Then just charge it until its full again. Please let us know your findings if you do decide to try this out. Hope this solves your problems!
Hello Guys,
so i got my new one x yesterday and im not very happy with it.
1. It does some random reboots, just lying around and reboots sometimes.
2. Phone "hangs up" with black screen and blinking buttons. As far as i know this is a "kernel panic"
This happened about 5 times now, last time as im writing this.
3. Battery drain is huge, seems like a result of the above problems. Android OS has about 90% battery usage and it dropped to 82% after 54mins without charging and just lying around.
On the both screens you can hopefully notice it, 26mins and it lost 10% battery.
After this kernel panic the battery drain changed and the Android OS stopped to drain so much battery.
This is the "out of the box" state of my phone. I changed nothing beside from charging the battery and installed some apps (normal stuff, angry birds and such).
Does someone have a idea about this? I hope or assume these a software related problems. But im not sure with the kernel panic thing can this be due to hardware issues? Should i ask for a replace?
You said you installed a few apps and games. Try going back to factory settings first, wait a while and see if the pattern repeats, if the phone behaves normally, then it must be something you installed, not all apps are optimised for ICS.
Good luck!

check your kernel version pls
Ok thanks for your first impressions and help. Im trying the factory reset now.
I have done a screenshot of the kernel version.
First of all, and probably most important is to leave your phone charging for 6-8 hours without turning it on.
Then its spend the battery time where you do whatever it takes to.empty the battery completely until the phone is ready to shut down. Shut it down. Repeat charge process from above with device off. Turn it on and then you can be ready to test it for real. As far as reboots, you really should let the system settle down a bit. Give it a day or 2 without some extra heavy usage and I'm sure it will be just fine.

i hope this isnt a joke
joke or not, normal stuff apps can cause problems. the whole Android OS battery usage is because of apps you installed. it's a brand new phone and i wouldn't be too worried about it. i switched from Samsung to HTC because Samsung releases broken source code and doesn't seem like they really know how to do anything but stick hardware together. if i'm not happy with HTC, then maybe Motorola is making the next Nexus phone and i'll give that a try.
Please do keep us updated on how's everything working out ? Did the factory reset solved the issue? Hope this ain't an April fool joke ! Anyways hope everything goes well for you mate. Kept my fingers crossed on mine one x
So ok, i tried the factory reset twice. Seems Not to work atm. Im going to try it again. I hope Arhd and s-off is working soon
Im curios, maybe there are more ppl with this Problem after monday / tomorrow.
Ill keep you up2date.

Return it.
There's no way a factory-reset device should be behaving that way. My guess would be hardware problems.
First wave of a new phone is always more risky, you can get a faulty device

Agreed, it sounds screwed to me.
I can't speak for the rest of the world - but I don't really know why people panic. If the phone ends up being unstable it's going back and they'll be refunding my contract - it's really that simple.
There was a similar problem on the original Desires. Linked to overheating especially with GPS.

I'm not going to say your wrong but could you post some evidence? Ok the first part is per the user manual so I will agree with that one. However there should be no need to empty and re-charge the battery should there? According to this site: http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/how_to_charge_when_to_charge_table Deep discharge wears the battery down. It also says no priming is needed.
Then the second point letting the system settle down? what? let what "settle down"? I don't even understand this statement. If you explain what you mean and again if you can provide some evidence that would be great. Thanks.
same problem
I experience the exact same problem. Random reboots and crashes.
What did you end up doing?
same problem too
Me too.
Get the phone for 2 days, and randoms reboots.
Get the same kernel that Dreist.
Try yesterday a factory reset, but no change.
I have the same problem. Constant reboots out of the blue. I'm back on my nexus which is super reliable. Probably gonna return it.
Got 3 reboots in a row yesterday but it was after flashing bricked kernel and battery under 23%, plugged the AC cable and no more reboots, perhaps the battery level is false with bricked kernel...
Just swapped mine out for a new one but now the new one has a yellowish screen. (sigh)
Hi guys, I really need the power of the internet now. My googling powers have let me down, and now there's only you guys left to help me!!
I got a Lg g3, and i've enjoyed it for a while. I have experiemented a little with it (rooting and installing roms) and it's about 2 years old i think.
And now, the wierdest problem that I really can't understand, i'll try to explain as good as i can!
It all started a couple of days ago, my phone just rebooted as soon as I started up Snapchat. After a day, this reboot appeared more frequently, and yesterday I gave up. The thing is, as long as it's charging, it works fine, all of the programs. But when I woke up this morning, it's completely ruined.... i see the LG startup screen, and then the lock screen. As soon as i touch the screen, it restarts again!
I've tried factory reset and wiping data and stuff.... If any more information is required, i'll provide it as soon as possible!
I believe in you guys, help me out!
I thought about overheating, but since it works while charging, i ruled that out, right?

Guess it's time to buy a new battery...

u sure it's the battery? cause it works a bit better right now. How can i check if it's the battery that's the flaw? it's so wierd that it just got more and more random reboots....
That sounds like the battery as it was the expect problem I had 6 months ago with a battery that was about the same age as yours. I found that my battery had started to swell, very big problem with lithium batteries when they go bad. If you take your battery out and look at it side on there should be no bulging anywhere on the battery, if you see any bulging then stop using it until you can get a replacement.
At the time my phone would work fine when plugged in but would constantly reboot when on battery power.
It seems like that's not the problem, right now it's working fine. I checked the battery and no swellings at all! Could there be any other reason for my phone to act out the way it did/does sometime still?
Did the rebooting start at a particular battery level? Reason I ask is that my spare battery is now showing the same symptoms, but only when lower than 55%, phone will reboot and immediately be at 15%. I pulled the battery out and could feel slight raises along it, not enough to see but I could feel it when compared to my other battery.

Dear Taynor, Try flashing stock firmware of your device. If you suspect your device battery, then first replace it and check whether rebooting issue is still there. Otherwise, flashing stock firmware resolve many issues. Use kdz with LG Flash tool 2014. It is easy to flash firmwares with LG Flash Tool 2014.
Hey everyone... I was using my phone as usual when suddenly it blue screened and died on me. Like dieded died. I've been soft bricked before but this was bad. It wouldn't on after taking out the battery, charging, different batteries (anker)
Left it for a while tried again, nothing. Like not even the boot up animation. Now, the phone had been acting up for the past 2 days. Random reboots every few hours and it even blue screened the day b4 but came back as usual. I was just considering a new rom cos i had been on this one a while so i thought maybe it was just time for a new flash when all this happened. Full disclosure im rooted xposed on Dirty Unicorns Marshmallow. Also not sure if this is relevant but i had recently begun using new batteries from anker for the past 2 months
That's the only new thing i did to my phone. I use my phone to just below 5%, off then pop a new 100% battery in. I hadn't charged my phone my cable since.
I went to a repair shop immediately and they tried hooking it up directly to a positive negative power source but they said it wasnt registering at all, so im thinking this is serious.. I Googled around and best i could find was that this maybe a motherboard issue. The only solution ive found online (https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/lg-g3-d855-blue-screen-death-t3380844) were those saying i need to bake\heat the motherboard?? At first i thought it was a troll but im desperate and not sure anymore
Is that a legit solution and if not, what is...? Please guys i can't afford a new phone for at least another year. Thanks in advance.
