It totally disabled my phonepad input writing. I press the keys but nothings get recognized. Only the keyboard works now.

I got the same problems.
No input when using T9, danish language.

Hei Fingerkeyboard har en T9 liste som lærer seg de mest brukte ord (Som på en SE)
Mener å huske at det er en noe begrenset liste med norske ord i den og
Sorry for Norwegian language but hey i kan write it

Det finnes mange gode ROM med T9.

HOW TO USE ANY BUILT-IN KEYBD WITH A ROM IN OTHER LANGUAGE

Very good news, guys!
I found how we can use our own country built-in keyboard using a ROM in a different language.
I have made the test with German, Greek, Spanish, French and Italian... and it works great! It's extremely simple to do it. You just need to change a value in the registry
You must edit the registry with any registry editor, i.e. PHM Registry editor and you must change change this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\QWERTY
Layout=123105 is the default value when you use a WWE ROM. 123105 is the value in decimal for 00020409... and 00000409 is the keyboard layout for the US keyboard in Windows
so if you change the value of "Layout" to...
Layout=132103 (which corresponds to 00020407 in HEX... 00000407 is the German keyboard)
Layout=132104 (which corresponds to 00020408 in HEX... 00000408 is the Greek keyboard)
Layout=132106 (which corresponds to 0002040a in HEX... 0000040a is the Spanish keyboard)
Layout=132108 (which corresponds to 0002040c in HEX... 0000040c is the French keyboard)
Layout=132112 (which corresponds to 00020410 in HEX... 00000410 is the Italian keyboard)
and so on...
In other words, as Layout is a dword key, you have to calculate the value in Decimal of "0002" followed of the last four digits for your Country, for instance "040c" for France. 0002040c in HEX is 132108 in decimal
I think many people will be intererested in this feature
Cab file for the Extended ROM
And for the froggies, I have created a cab file FRE_keyb_layout.cab available at ftp://xda:[email protected]/BlueAngel
you can put in your Extended ROMs (as I have already done), so your SPV M2000 will have a French keyboard after a reinstall
I could have also made the on-screen keyboard layout in French, but I prefer personally a qwerty keyboard (sorry)
PS: And don't forget to add the line:
CAB: \Extended_ROM\FRE_keyb_layout.cab
to your config.txt!

Artz, actually most of French do not know about this nick-name. May be we (French) should travel more often to the UK. It's been quite some time since we last visited Hasting city in 1066
in XDA2 Rom 2.20 there is no entry QWERTY.
What am I doing wrong?
same here... no qwerty entry in 2.20
German Keyboard Cab?
Can you make a GermanKeyboard.cab for the 2.20 WWE please?
Greetings from Southern Germany
Phil
New keyboards cabs
I have made a few new cabs for French, Spanish, Italian, German, Norwegian and Russian. You will find them at ftp://xda:[email protected]/BlueAngel/Keyboards/
I only have tested the French, Spanish and German. In fact, I don't know how many types of different keyboards are available for the XDA IIs and in which Countries the XDA IIs is sold.
In reply to markimark and melino, if you have a "Blue Angel" device (XDA IIs, MDA III, PDA2K Evo, etc.) you should find the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\Qwerty key on the registry espacially if you're using a WWE ROM!!!
I'm using BA_WWE_BelDT_12200_557_10602_SHIP.exe from Dangaard (Belgium) with a SVP M2000 from Orange (France) which has an built-in AZERTY keyboard.
Toutes mes amities, Tanguy
Thx, man!
But it is not working here in the end.
I now have this string in the registry with the right entry, but the layout hasn´t chanced.
It´s still qwerty, even after softreset.
Any ideas?
melino,
it's really strange. Just to be sure we're talking about the same thing: The on-screen keyboard will be in qwerty but the built-in keyboard should be in German.
Which ROM are you using exactly? Have you deleted any cabs from the extended ROM? Have you tried to use this patch ftp://xda:[email protected]/BlueAngel/Qwerty_change_end_bluetooth_patch.cab ?
I'm using BA_WWE_BelDT_12200_557_10602_SHIP.exe ROM version (I have removed only the belgium operators configuration cab) and it really works fine.
Let me know if you succed.
Regards
I didn´t know the Qwerty_change_end_bluetooth_patch.cab and so I just tried it out.
What ever the sense of this the only change is to me was that grey bar on the bottom on the today screen.
But qwerty was the same... :-(
The search funktion gave no info to me where this patch was released, could you plz tell me to topic, maybe it helps...
merino,
please read this thread

forgot to tell you my rom: 2.20
This is the SOFTWARE KEYB or the HARDWARE KEYB? COz for the software keyb this is not new, On brighT there was long ago a topic on it, I am looking a solution for the Hardware one, I cannot stand this French ROM, must turn my 9090 back to english even if the hardware Key is still in ZAERTY
By the way resco keyb do it as well turn a QWERTY to AZERTY
Daimaou,
This is the hardware solution. The software keyboard (on screen keyboard) will remain in English but your retractable keyboard will be in French!
melino,
you cannot have a MDA III (SPV M2000, XDA IIs, etc) call Blue Angel but a XDA II (Himalaya or Andes) because there isn't any ROM 2.20 but 1.2200
kind regards
NO KIDDING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the Folder is no longer on the FTP

OK, takker.
Det ser ikke ud til at Excel og OneNote virker (i hvert fald ikke på min).
Er der planer om at tilføje 3G video opkald samt kamera-program?
Jeg har også problemer med Excel og OneNote
Men hvor er det ellers fedt

I can translate it..
It about office problems in my latest rom..
Well. We´d better speak English.
Did any of you actually succeed in getting the software keyboard localized? To me it seems that the skin - that the soft keyboard is a part of - doesn't allow to change.
What about Excel? Did you find out how to repair it.
I must say that I am very satisfied with this ROM. The look is great and the speed is awesome. I also found out how to make voice dial work with the Cyberon cab.
A very positive experience

Hey guys
Why so silent. This is a great ROM and we should be discussing pros and cons. There are also minor glitches, still.
Finally a Danish ROM thanks to Bunny0007. There are several Danes in here, so let me hear you opinion, please.
Vågn nu op og lad os diskutere en ROM i vores eget sprog!

Hello I just upgraded my HTC TyTN with this rom. Amazing.
But there are still some language, which have to be translated.
What about 3g funktions? I can't use 3g video calls or using the inet with 3g.
Is there still beeing developed in this rom?

Smart dialer and non-english (latin2) characters

I uses non-english (iso latin2) characters also in the conntacts. Unfortunately the smart dialer does not works with this non-english characters. For example if there is an Ö (or Ó or Ő) in the name the pushing of the O character exludes the name and not includes as I would like it.
Here is a list of the chars / from the hungarian ABC
a - á
i - í
o - ó, ö, ő
u - ú, ü, ű
e - é
How can I include this chars in the searching by using of the smart dialer?
Thank you in advance!
Very strange, croatian uses Latin2 and smart dialing is OK. My version of OS is Karmba 4.1 Full.
this works good for me:
s - š
d - đ
c - č
c - ć
u - ü etc.
Croatian:
nisam do sad imao nikakvih problema sa nasim slovima (latin2) niti u jednom programu. inace koristim VGAkeyboard (najljepsi i besplatan) za unos nasih slova. Probaj koristi navedeni program za smart dial, meni radi na Black and Blue v1.1. poozzzz
English:
i have no experience with any kind of troubles with Croatian letters (šžčćđ) in any program. anyway i use VGAkey (most beautiful and free) to enter croatain letters. Try to use VGAkey to enter croatian letters in smartdial.
Stari post, ali tek sad ga vidim... Naravno da koristim VGAkey
english: no need to translate

Is it so hard ? :-)

Many great new roms are coming out, but i can't use them :-( I'm from denmark and do not write english to my freinds. I need a rom not in danish, but with phonekeypad in danish language and xt9. Is it hard to make ? Don't know mutch about rom cooking, so this is just a question ;-)

So need the XT9

[REQ TO DEV's] Galaxy Swype keyboard ported to Desire

Hi
another request, this time regarding the Swype keyboard... I got the demo of swype for android, but in the galaxy it has danish keyboard with the letters æ, ø og å (guess you cant see them, but we got an additional three letters)
Also a custom dictionary is need, whilst it is only the english and spanish dictionary that is included in Beta... is there a workaround allready, just for the dictionary at least?
Would be most appreciated
I use SlideIT now, but Swype seems to work better/more fluent, and looks nicer.

I don't think there is a trial.
I can't get Finnish to work. Ä and ö are missing even if I select Suomi from the language menu. Every predicted word is still in English.
E: nevermind. Now it works. Some bug apparently
