Hi
another request, this time regarding the Swype keyboard... I got the demo of swype for android, but in the galaxy it has danish keyboard with the letters æ, ø og å (guess you cant see them, but we got an additional three letters)
Also a custom dictionary is need, whilst it is only the english and spanish dictionary that is included in Beta... is there a workaround allready, just for the dictionary at least?
Would be most appreciated
I use SlideIT now, but Swype seems to work better/more fluent, and looks nicer.

Brilliant ! Works like a charm with Norwegian letter and all. Thank You.
Thanx! Works like a charm.
Testing now
Is this latest version a trial or full working?
Edit: installed and working nicely, very smooth and in landscape mode it is more responsive and smooth. Thanks

It looks like the full version.
I don't think there is a trial.
I can't get Finnish to work. Ä and ö are missing even if I select Suomi from the language menu. Every predicted word is still in English.
E: nevermind. Now it works. Some bug apparently
Fantastic! Been looking for a norwegian version of Swype for some time now.

looking for a danish keyboard layout (with the 3 extra letters from the danish alfabet). searched here but could not find one...
I have a version for my HD2, which basically consists of a few Manila files that need to be replaced.
You can use Scandinavian Keyboard, that you will find in market. It's working very well. And it is free

You can sign up for a Swype beta. Yes I know it's a little diffferent to write with swype, but it's so much faster... I love swype

I just tried it
Its really nice
life sure is easier in Android Land.
it runs smoother, it runs about 3 times faster than WinMO (on the same device!), and essential add-ons like keyboard are available on Market, instead of windows hacks.
tnx!
Is it possible to hack the slideIT layout? I have to click 3 or 4 times to insert a smiley, and I have that stupid graffiti button there, that would be a good place for a smiley button..
Oups sorry. The beta doesn't support danish. But the version that's newer that around here does...
Har du lyst til at prøve en swype med dansk, så send mig en PM.

I was annoyed about that too, but after a quick look at the userguide I came to this solution:
when you are in the symbols keyboard, you will find the "thumbtack button" in the upper right corner.
activating this will do the trick, it makes you stay in symbols keyboard, so you don't have to enter the symbols keyboard 3-4 times to make a smiley
Give the user manual for slideIT a try, it's really useful for understanding the full features of slideIT
Scoot and I are wanting to pare down the size of the all language Cyanogen release builds. The best way to do that is to obviously remove some languages. These are what we have discussed keeping so far. If you have a need for one that is not listed add a reply with the language you want to keep.
English
Spanish
French
German
Dutch
Italian
Portugeese
Arabic
Romanian
Russian
Polish
Czech
Hebrew
Chineese
Greek
And I know I am missing a few so please do request them!
Does anyone use vietnamese, chineese, japanese or korean? I know typically people in those countries already have phones better than our kaisers lol.
Edit: Due to the large list of languages that we need to keep. I think we should do a Eurasia pack, English,Spanish and French and all languages as per suggestion earlier. That would be do-able.
Part of why its so huge our builds are... well look at english for instance. There are like 10 different versions listed.

I wanted to go for that idea a long time ago but it doesnt work that way sadly. The support has to be compiled into the framework. So at the time the build is compiled you get to choose what languages but thats it.
thats a shame, this would strip down the builds a lot... ill stay with the eng then

I like the way dzo did for Fresh Froyo, with multiple variants: US (English and Spanish), EU (Euro-languages), and FULL (all languages). My own personal Fresh Froyo build is english only, with one wallpaper, no live wallpapers, and no apps that I can install after installation. A small /system means we can have a larger /data partition.

Hello people! .... I was wondering about this Keyboard
I have been trying to search everywhere for some nice Skins for it but can´t seem to find any.... when you Download this keyboard from the Market it comes with 4 skins "Standard/Android , HTC , iPhone , Light" ... and I was wondering if you guys knew if it was possible to get some more Skins for it?
Thanx!
I would allso love to know where to find skins for Scandinavian keyboard. In all other aspects this is the ultimate keyboard for a swedish guy who mostly lurks around in english speaking forums. For example: i am in the moment writing this with english dictionary on a swedish setup åäöåäöåäö. Allso the haptic feedback on maxed is the closest I have come to the htc feel (wich is awesome). Better keyboard is great but for some weird reason I can't get it to work on darkys 9 to 9.2 roms. Anyone know why by the way?

I can change the system language into Swedish and keyboard works fine.. but I can't write with the S-Pen in Swedish, only works with German, English and Korean..
Is there a way I could add Swedish S-Pen language to my phone?
Btw, I have a German Note 1 and I can write in Swedish with the S-Pen perfectly fine...
Thanks in advance.
Interesting. I bought mine from my cell carrier here on Turkey and I have all the languages already installed.

Wait, what? Handwriting works for you in all languages on your Turkish Note 2?
Sorry I have misspopken earlier. The only available languages are English, French, Korean , Turkish and 2 more scripts (Arabic and Hindi maybe). Since it was for the Turkish market they might have injected it there. Sorry for the misunderstanding I might have caused.

Same problem with Norwegian language
I have the same problem when trying to add Norwegian S-Pen language to a German Note 2. Any solution in sight?
Or is it the revival of a last century problem: Back then it was impossible (!) to buy a mobile phone offering both Norwegian and German as T9 languages

I hope not, lol. Shouldn't it be possible installing a nordic stock rom on the Note 2? I'm such a noob in that regard... Will investigate further.
I live in the uk but got my note 2 from Germany. I noticed a similar problem where handwriting recognition does not work English_US but luckily does for English_UK , I thought it was a bug but it appears that you cant easily add more S-pen languages. I thought that when you downloaded the input language in samsung keyboard setting, then S-pen imput for that language would be downloaded too, but it isn't.

Not possible to add more S-Pen-Languages.
Hello,
I have been in contact with both the German and Norwegian Samsung support. It seems to be impossible to add Norwegian as an S-Pen language. I suppose, it's impossible to add other languages than those installed when buying the phone too. Sad.
