I don;t know danish and have no idea whats written here. If you guys can also translate the posts in english I will get a chance to learn little danish.

It about office problems in my latest rom..
Well. We´d better speak English.
Did any of you actually succeed in getting the software keyboard localized? To me it seems that the skin - that the soft keyboard is a part of - doesn't allow to change.
What about Excel? Did you find out how to repair it.
I must say that I am very satisfied with this ROM. The look is great and the speed is awesome. I also found out how to make voice dial work with the Cyberon cab.
A very positive experience

Hey guys
Why so silent. This is a great ROM and we should be discussing pros and cons. There are also minor glitches, still.
Finally a Danish ROM thanks to Bunny0007. There are several Danes in here, so let me hear you opinion, please.

What about 3g funktions? I can't use 3g video calls or using the inet with 3g.

Hi,
can anyone tell me, how to get Navigon 6 on the Orbit (WM6) to find the internal GPS? Navigon works, but won't find the GPS signal and so it's useless...
TT works out of the box after upgrade.
Or do I need a port splitter as for GPSTuner?
Under WM5 I had the same problem...

Stefan

Did you try the internal com 4?
I think the gps is set to com 4 by default...
Hello, i tried it and MN6 found´s the GPS. But do not spend mor time in this problem. The Artemis is to slow für MN6. I´ve overclocked to 260Mhz and it to slow too for a normal navigation. iGo 2006 or TomTom works better on the device!
Rgds
MyPass
I also find iGo too slow also... TomTom is much quicker.
But TT has no features, no speed display, bad menu, no pois...
Its really a big problem for me, I come from an WM2k3 400MHz PPC which is fast enough for Navigon

huh?
TT HAS POI's, Speed display, and the fastest menu... the only thing it doesnt have is TMC which I like about Navogin. (very slow with me also)
How do I activate the display of speed limits for the road I'm currently on?
I know that there are some pois on the TT homepage to load, I didn't try them, yet. I needed them a few weeks ago, when I needed a bank and realized that o2 didn't deliver it...
How do I activate the display of my actual speed?
Is Navigon TMC with headset connected working for you?
Navigon 6.2 works for me, I think. But I didn't navigate with it, yet.
regards,
Stefan
Stefan
...you probably have to buy it and it will work...;-)) for sure!
What do you want to tell me? TT6 is included in the o2 Orbit package (but without any POI)!
And Navigon is just a test version from the Navigon page!
regards,
Stefan
Speed and POIs
You can activate the speed display by going into the menu and clicking "Change Preferences". Then scroll the page across 3 times and tap "status bar preferences" and select "speed" (and any of the others if you like), click done and accept the disclaimer. Speed should now be showing like a fraction, where the number on the left is your actual speed and the number on the right is the speed limit of the road you are currently travelling on.
As for POIs, I have uploaded my collection for you to download, although seeing as you are German, they may be of no use to you as they are for the UK map. However, they are here for anybody else to download if they are any use to anybody. I have compressed the file into *.rar format. Compressed, it is 1.3MB, uncompressed folder size is 2.5MB. Surprisingly small as there are around 275 POI categories. However, TomTom can only have so many enabled at one time so I leave them as they are in the folder on my storage card and copy them over to the folder containing my uk map if and when I require them. Doesn't take a sec and they're worth having in reserve. You never know when you might wanna find a strip bar (...for example!)
Here is the link...

AND JUST FOR CONVENIENCE HERE IT IS AGAIN ROUGHLY TRANSLATED INTO IN GERMAN...

Not my translation, Google's Translation! I translated back from it's own translation of German back to English and it came back completely different! Nevermind. You get the idea. Hope it helps.

Can i use the headset as a TMC Device? Does anyone have this working (TMC -Navigon)?
I installed Navigon today, Really awesome, i like it lots better than TOM Tom.
And the speed of Version 6,2 is the same as the TT software i thinks. It is at least my opinion.
I have all POI's active and it is fast for me, and i do not have my HTC p3300 Overclocked. (Running Fracoons ROM, Thanks again Mark)
I would like to use the TMC function as well.
Can someone help me out here?
Thanks
Tim
Hello,
MN6 works good, but loading it, lasts 4 times as long as loading TT, I think. Navigation is quick enough, no problems during 650km, I used it yet.
Adaptors for using the car loader and the headset as antenna for radio are available at ebay in china.
Is there anybody with the newest radio fw., who can test it? For the test, running on battery is possible, the adaptor is only for daily use and the comfort of loading while driving...
regards,
Stefan

Right. I've got Navigon 5 and I was informed by Navigon that their V6 software needed a 500mhz PPC, which is why on my Hermes/Tytn I've stuck to v5 and not upgraded.
I'm not sure if it's changed for v6 over v5 but if you go into the settings and activate the "Info Bar" then that shows your speed.
As for POIs you can either load them in manually from whereever you download them but you might find it better to get POI Handler, get a years subscription to the POIs and get them that way. An extra £20 I beleive.
I tried it for a year and actually reverted back as I felt it slowed the PDA down and to be honest, being a Professional Driver for a living it was in my interest to notice things like speed cameras with my own eyes without the use of satnav, but it does mean I stick to more speed limits
One thing I would like to know from Navigon is if I can get updated maps for v5 as I'm not going to upgrade to 6 but want newer maps. Seems silly that they dont keep the software the same but just update the data
Ahh, good luck
As for TMC, sorry, never tried it.
You might want to try such software as GPSDash 2 as well, it gives a lot of information there for when you're driving and you don't need satnav
I take it you've found your internal GPS com port? If you havent then just get the software to scan...
Cheers, Elwyn
And yes, I prefer it to TomTom too. I had mine set to "Truck" last night and it took us a decent truck route. The "Car" took us down some narrow backroads that were a wee bit tight So we stayed on Truck and stayed sane
Do you know how embarassing it is to jam a lorry in a lane
I had a play around the other week.
I've always used Tomtom, so I tried some others... iGo was too fiddly, as was Copilot. Navigon worked, but took absolutely ages to start up - it was Ok, but nothing special. Route66 is interesting, and in my opinion really quite good - it has free live traffic, a really nice speed camera implementation, but does not let you manually edit your route, so I'm back with TomTom!

Yeah, I've found that in the past. Just do a soft reset. Something to do with files in use or something. It has it's good days and bad days. Yesterday I opened and closed the software properly all night and it was only towards the latter half of the run, 7 hours into the shift that it locked up. Soft reset. Swear at it, and then take a tacho break
For the most part it's been pretty reliable, but I always carry maps as backup as I still don't trust the routings on whatever satnav.
Although apparently TT don't have a "truck" option, which yesterday brought a few people to enquire about it and the software.
I wonder if there are a program for WM that can record where you are going, which way, speed and such. Would be awesome to see what you have been doing if you take a tour with the bike or car or just a walk. Especially if this could be connected to Google Map!
Anyone know of any good program to do this?
Har du testat detta? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=527945

Is there any possibilities get Norwegian keyboard and T9 dictionary working on HTC Blackstone running windows mobile 6.5. I would like to keep the original layout of the keyboard just need the Norwegian special characters Æ, Ø and Å and T9 dictionary in Norwegian.

I got the same problems.
No input when using T9, danish language.

Sorry for Norwegian language but hey i kan write it
Det finnes mange gode ROM med T9.
can anbefale dutty sine.
Hi,
I were about to update my profile/visitor message which showed what I use on/with my phone but I can't see them anymore!
Did you remove the feature? Do I have to put everything in my signature like all the other n00bs do to stretch the posts?
It does seem that visitor messaging has been disabled, but I never found it useful anyway.
Is it possible to bring it back? Please admins.
##
I'd probably contact svetius or Mike (mikechannon) on this, they're the forum admins .
We disabled it because we found that the vast majority of users don't use it. Disabling it means that your User CP loads a bit faster, and also it's one last thing to cause undo load on our servers.
If there's a huge number of you that disagree with this action, we can reconsider, but again, our understanding was that it was a generally unused feature - most people just use Private Messages.
I agree, there's really no need for visitor messaging, it's just confusing and usually either PMs or posts in the specific thread are better. But from what I see, the OP wanted to use it to display information about his phone, so maybe you could add an option to choose a phone model and providing some info about it (ROM etc.), like the operator/country logos.

Nearly all Dutch people can speak German
I guess that living in a country with a less common language does have its benefits - if you live in England, you most probably won't know that many foreign languages, but if you live in Netherlands, you not only learn English but even German. Do you speak it, BTW?
Yes that must be the cause, but it also depends on how far a country is 'cultured' I think.
Well my German isn't very good, but I can speak it good enough to be understandable.
My French is much better than my German though.
Wow, how many languages do you speak? Dutch, English, German, French...

Exactly! But they're all working about the same grammatically, so for example Chinese is a much harder language
But we're going way offtopic!
back to topic please?!

ahhhh can you at least temporarily restore it? I had created a list of trusted/recommended traders there :/
I suggest you contact either svetius or mikechannon about this, I am not sure if it's possible to restore the information, but most likely they made a backup of it.
Btw it should've been better if the admins had warned first before proceeding with desabling the system, but that's just my opinion.
Agreed with the guy above.
It would be really cool, like Livven said, if we could get our phone to show up on our profile.
I would actually like to see it on posts as I think it's more important than a user's join date, and quite a lot of members don't include it in their sig.
Hi,
the great "Search on server" function available on serach screen of client email seems disappeared after the last official ROM update.
This sucks!
Anybody found this issue?
PS Meanwhile I opened a support ticket on HTC site...
Thanks!
I've just noticed that, what a pain that is, I didn't use it m,uch but it was damn useful when I did.
It's true!
... a very odd decision because search on server was one of the most business oriented functions...
Please reactivate it!
Hello! (1st post)
I would like to revive this thread. Is there anything we can do make them bring that function back? I used it allot and is missing it dearly!
I don't know...
I opened a ticket for this issue at HTC support and the answer was: clean, reset and hard reset the phone. If the issue won't be resolved please re-contact us.
Obviously I did not follow the odd given solution.
Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
That's the standard answer to get rid of the troublesome customer. "That will ceep em' away for a while, and I hope he doesn't call back...".
I've seen a couple of Hero upgrade to 2.1 update-1 and the function isn't present there either.
What I really would like HTC to answer is if they are going to put it back in like 2.1 update-X, 2.2...?
I also have a ticket open with HTC on this subject. They are investigating for the moment they say.
Was in contact with the Swedish HTC-support today again. I sort of demanded an answer on this issue. Later in the day responded with the following.
Bo

Which translates to (Google Translate): "Thanks for your reply. The disappeared because we found it too buggy and therefore did not meet the requirements for stability as HTC calls. Whether it coming back, I can not answer but I can make to the development team that is a feature that our customers find very useful and want it back. You can not do more than what you have done."
