Problem with Reminders

Since my last restore I have problems with reminders...
NO sound, notification, pop-up or ANYTHING!!!
With the built-in calendar and other applications!!
Is there something with the registry?
I have the same issue. I find that I have to sync with Activesync about once a week to get it to work with reminders again. No other remedy, including the one where utilities claim to clean the reminder queue due to an old winmobile bug, work. Also, this phone has this problem the worst in my experience - my ipaq 910c would exhibit this problem maybe once a year.

Hermes won't wake up with Black 3.0.1

Hey all,
This is a great forum, plenty to read and I've done a search but been unable to find an exact answer.
I installed Black about a week ago on my T-Mobile MDAII and for the most part it rocks like a motherhubbard. There is one annoying thing though - it often won't come out of standby.
The light will be flashing on the top, but pushing the power buttond does nothing and if you call the phone, nothign happens (you can hear ringing, but my hermes doesn't actually ring).
I had SPB mobile shell installed, but I read some posts saying this might be the problem, so I uninstalled it. I also installed the t-mobile .cab so i could get my web'n'walk stuff back.
I also have OggSync to sync my phone to my google calendar, but I've switched off the auto update feature, which means it only runs when I tell it.
I also installed SPB finance, but haven't even run that once yet.
The only thing I can do, is a soft reset to get it working again.
I installed the VOIP, VJ555 Utils and Windows Live & Messenger optional extras, although I uninstalled VJ555 Utils.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Mike
Why don't you give Black 3.5 (aka Black Dymond) a shot?

Desperately need help with NOTIFICATIONS (prob. a bug)

Hello I have a M3100 (HTC HERMES) running Windows Mobile 6 Pro
Specs:
CE OS 5.2.1413 (Build 17913.0.3.0)
I really can't understand why every 4/5 days or after having installed some program (like spb shell) my notifications for SMS and e-mails disappears.
I tried to look in Settings/Sounds but everything looks fine.
In the registry under the ControlPanel folder the keys look to be ok.
When I receive and SMS or an e-mail I only get the writing "1 Message to read" (or similar) with no sound nor popup nor vibration....
Is there a way to control this notification system? How does it work?
It's really frustrating because I continuosly have to look at the today tab to see if I got a message... grrrr.
Thanks
Just dont install those programs...that might fix the problem
I'm having the same problem without any installed apps.
Sometime, soft-reset does the trick and sometimes not.
However, I did not let the device continue to install everything after my hard-reset, what is in the extended ROM in Schaps 4.01?
Did I miss some critical update?
Have you 'TICKED' the box in Settings/Sounds&Notifications/Programs ?
Otherwise it has to be one of your installed programs.

Yes, it is ticked. The problem is that most of the time, just as mattjakob described it, there is no notification and the messeging today plugin shows unread mail. While in other times (after SR?) everything works good.
Coming to think of it, it may have started around the time I assigned a sound to incoming mail... I'll try and remove it and see what happens.
I'd personally reflash the ROM for something this odd...

New HTC ROM - Reminders for appointments not working

I installed the new HTC Rom and everything seems to be working fine. Appointments reminders would show up on the screen at the proper time. In the past week however, no reminders would pop-up when something was scheduled. I checked that a reminder was set (15minutes prior to start) and that was the case for all my appointments. Could not find a fix. Even tried to look for "Reminder" in the registry and found nothing that could help. Any idea how to fix this problem?

Calendar not showing notifications

Anyone else have calendar events not showing up? I have an event scheduled everyday that isnt showing a notification. I’ve looked at the usual stuff, notifications are on for calendar, etc....I have an iPad that’s also connected to the same gooogle calendar and they come through fine on it everyday. Anyone have any insight?
Is there an alert added to the calender entry? Like 10 minutes before?
Thanks for replying. There is an alert set,...it was for 10 minutes before, that didn’t work so I changed it to at the time of event, and that didn’t work. I read somewhere that it was because of the last update, so I uninstalled the update and it worked this morning. I’m going to give it a few more days to see if it still works and if so I know a calendar update came out yesterday so I’ll update to that and hopefully I won’t have to worry about it anymore.

I used to have problems with my calendar not firing alerts or just firing late on previous phones. Then I found an app on GPS called Events Notifier For Calendar (by RYO Software.) There is an XDA thread somewhere about it. I've been using it on my last three phones including this one and I feel it is indispensable! (As for the GPS rating, my guess is user error for most of people's complaints.) But it has never failed me and the developer is extremely helpful. It's probably one of the first 5 apps I now install on every new phone.
