Problem with Reminders - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Since my last restore I have problems with reminders...
NO sound, notification, pop-up or ANYTHING!!!
With the built-in calendar and other applications!!
Is there something with the registry?

I have the same issue. I find that I have to sync with Activesync about once a week to get it to work with reminders again. No other remedy, including the one where utilities claim to clean the reminder queue due to an old winmobile bug, work. Also, this phone has this problem the worst in my experience - my ipaq 910c would exhibit this problem maybe once a year.

New e-mail message notification sound not working...

I know this issue may be rather minor, but it bugs me. Apparently, even if I set the Notification: Messaging: New e-mail message sound
it does not play when new mail arrives in my added accounts (regardless if pop, smtp, etc).
I was told by a Seven tech support rep. (the makers of Xpress Mail, on Cingular Siemens SX66) that it was a known bug, and that a trouble ticket was opened with MS.
1) does anyone have any workaround (like external s/w which would do this)?
2) I know the new mobile o/s is not on BlueAngels, but does anyone know if this is fixed with the new o/s?
3) Sometimes, when the moon is just right, and the messaging software is running in the background, with the machine powered off, when new mail arrives it will work. any clues why?
thanks
Yes, its really annoying, but I found the solution in installing 2 brilliant apps from PocketMax (www.pocketmax.net) Phone Alarm and AlarmToday
PhoneAlarm give you great contol over the audible and visula alerts missing in WM2003. (Use the "Joel Blue skin" when you install)
alarmToday includes as an option a fix to the WM 2003 wake up problem. The fix will make sure that the device wakes up when a new mesage come in, even when powered off. make sure you chech this feature when you install the app. It works great with the push e-mail client I use (www.alwaysonmail.com)
Try them all out for free. I think they will solve your problems!
Hope this helps
Chris

WM6 Schedule

Hi,
Anyone had problems with the appointment book, I've sync'd mine with the Exchange server at work and reminders seem to have a real problem in that they keep popping up, i.e one this morning came up 258 times. Even a reset doesn't clear the problem, it just starts all over again and the device is unsable whilst this is happening.
Running official rom in O2 Orbit.
Cheers for any help.
Have a similar issue though not as many reminders popping as you. You may wish to try MemMaid or Pocket Mechanic to remove the duplicate notifications. I believe each has a fully funcitonal trial so you can see if it works before you buy.
Good luck,

New HTC ROM - Reminders for appointments not working

I installed the new HTC Rom and everything seems to be working fine. Appointments reminders would show up on the screen at the proper time. In the past week however, no reminders would pop-up when something was scheduled. I checked that a reminder was set (15minutes prior to start) and that was the case for all my appointments. Could not find a fix. Even tried to look for "Reminder" in the registry and found nothing that could help. Any idea how to fix this problem?

Synch problem
OK ...
Finally posting on this problem - hoping others have experienced it and can help with a solution. I have a T-Mobile Dash WM6.1 (though this problem happened with WM 5 and 6), synching to a Vista Machine (Windows Mobile Device Center). This has happened on multiple machines/setups and different Dashes.
Every so often (maybe twice a week), when I synch - I get the dreaded little red-x in the corner of the "synch center" icon in the task bar, indicating a problem. Activesynch in my dash says Attention Required: "There has been a change made on your server that requires you to re-synchronize all items on your device ..."
Ugh. First - this takes a long time. Second - I lose my speed-dial and voice tags for my contacts. All a pain in the a**.
For months, I have been trying to figure out the rhyme or reason for this. It's happened with freshly booted PC and Dash. It's happened when nothing significant has occured (changes, disruptions) ... I've tried different bluetooth ports, wires (trying anything)
The closest thing I can think of is that it happens when I modify a contact, but I am grasping at straws.
Has anyone experienced this, and is there a solution?
Thanks!
Been there...
I've had that kind of problem when I tried to sync my outlook e-mails into my device, tried lots of things ("disable advanced USB connection" is one of the most famous suggestions) but what ultimately work for me was giving up on syncing my outlook e-mails and having my pop mail accounts setup on the device and downloading them every so often to keep it up to date with my outlook...
Anyways, try googleing for the error number or the phrase you get in the error box between "". But don't get your hopes too high tough: the problem is well documented and very spoken of but M$ doesn't seem to care much about it to come up with a solution (not even an official response, if my recollection is not mistaken).
Well, good luck and cheers.
Well, Synching outlook emails is the lowest of my priorities. Synching appointments, tasks and contacts are more important. Thanks anyway.
Thanks for your suggestion that I try to use google to find the error message. I never thought of that. Google. Are they a new startup?

Google Assistant glitch?

Hi, just recently after updating to Feb patch everytime I tell Google assistant to remind me of something, all of my past reminders, even ones I deleted, also come up. Additionally, what is even weirder is sometimes it just reminds me of old reminders that I deleted at random times, even though my reminders are empty.
I already tried clearing data for Google, and it's still happening. Anyone else with this problem?
This used to happen to me a while back, couldn't find a fix, so I just stopped using reminders and instead use calendar events with a notification now. Does pretty much the same job and I just delete the calendar event once I'm done with whatever the reminder/event was
Also having this issue recently. I wonder if this is a known issue und will be addressed in the future.
