I installed the new HTC Rom and everything seems to be working fine. Appointments reminders would show up on the screen at the proper time. In the past week however, no reminders would pop-up when something was scheduled. I checked that a reminder was set (15minutes prior to start) and that was the case for all my appointments. Could not find a fix. Even tried to look for "Reminder" in the registry and found nothing that could help. Any idea how to fix this problem?

I recently installed Jacko's hybrid 6.1 rom, and am loving the numbers, eye candy, and other details...BUT...my calendar is NOT holding appointments.
I first tried installing my backup, then tried manually entering my appointments...if I go to month view, it will very briefly (as in a nano-second) flash the triangle on the date of an appointment then it disappears. If I go to the date it will again very briefly flash the appointment, then it will say that my day is free. If I attempt to re-enter the appointment on said date, it still reads as if my day is free.
I am a busy mom who juggles many appointments, I survive on my calendar and alarms.
Please help me to fix this issue. I await your prompt responses and am extremely grateful for the help!!
~BUMP~
I ended up flashing back to a stock rom late last night because of this issue. I'd really like to give the hybrid a try, so I'd appreciate any insight to correct this calendar issue.
Yhank you in advance, it is most appreciated.
So the work-around--- shut off sense, enter the appointments into the standard calendar, soft boot then restart sense. The appointments will then show.
May not need to shut off sense and soft boot, but it didn't always register on the Today page if I didn't.
Is a slight pain in the ass, but worth it for a rom that in every other area fits my needs to the T.
Now I just need someone who is good with creating reg entries to cook me up a cab to fix the Home button issue and this rom would be perfect!!
Hi, Had to hard reset my desire this AM due to the sense going into a loop of force closing, think it may have been something to do with updating one of my apps. Got everything back to normal now except that any entries in the calendar appear seem to be 1 hour ahead of where they should be...On the PC the app't may start at 18:00 & finish at 20:00 but on the Desire, it says 19:00 & 21:00...this is for ALL entries (being 1 hour ahead of the actual app't). I have the time zone set for London / Dublin +1:00 as I'm in the UK...any ideas you braniacs?
Summer time maybe?
Thought about that & checked everything on my pc but that's all set up as it ought to be...I notice somebody else on here is having the same issue:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=669718
ta for looking in though.
Anyone resolved this?
Time shifted back an hour in UK at weekend. My phone is configured to 'use network time'.
Looking at it now, at 15:12pm, the phone shows 15:12pm accurately, my PC shows 15:12pm, but calendar items synced from my PC to my phone are showing the wrong time in my phone.
For example, I have a recurring appointment at 4pm every Monday, but at 2:55pm today, my phone gave me my '5 minute reminder'. That appointment is still showing correctly at 4pm on my PC.
As far as I can tell, Google Calendar items are displaying accurately, and calendar entries created SINCE the time change on my PC sync to the correct time fine.
Any ideas on how to resolve this, I surely *can't* be having to remove and re-add all my meetings everytime the time changes??
Has anyone done/seen anything to speed up the Calendar tab in Sense 2.5 ?
Ever since I've used it, even in Sense 2.1, it's very very slow in bringing up everything, e.g. in "Agenda" view. The problem appears to be recurring appointments, of which I have several (not loads, typically it might have four or five to show for a week), since unique appointments show straight away. These appointments have been sync'd from Outlook 2007.
It's Sense that's the problem, since if I go into the WM Calendar application, and select, say, week view, it displays them instantly.
I tried a search but only found someone else describing the same thing, from approximately 1 year ago, with no resolution.
I just went to the Calendar tab and up popped my agenda view instantly, including three reoccuring appointments this week. I also sync with OL07, and have beaucoup appointments (all past and plenty of future appointments, with about 2 dozen reoccuring appoiintments at any given time).
Sorry I can't reproduce your problem. Does that make things better or worse? ;-)
Hmm, that seems especially strange since you're using virtually an identical ROM to me ! And I've had this problem basically forever.
Hmm, I'm going to have to experiment, I think. How much of your past appointments have you got set to sync from your PC ?
I had the exact same issue when using the 2.07 ROM (I flashed back to the 1.86 in the meantime). The Agenda/Week tab would immediately show all 'single' appointments, and 5 seconds later the reoccurring ones.
I obviously can't test right now, but it could have something to do with either the date of the first occurrence of the reoccurring appoinment (how far back is it?), or with the number of exceptions in the reoccurrence.
It did help to only sync the past couple of weeks.
Yep, that's the sort of problem I get. I just tried changing my settings to sync only the last 2 weeks, but no difference unfortunately.
I wonder if it does have something to do with those two factors you mention though.
I do have exactly the same problem in my Topaz (Rom 2.53.412.3 ESN): the calendar tab shows the recurring appointments with a 5 sec. delay. No idea about how to fix it.
Yup, I've got the same problem on Simplicity 23673 Sense 2012. I've ended up switching off the tab and putting shortcut to Calendar on quicklinks !!
I have seen the following problems in the last few days (running rooted stock EC05):
-alarm reminders for the calendar go off hours late
-adjustments to the phone calendar or computer one don't sync
I have checked sync and time zone settings on both and can't figure out what's wrong. And yes, all the events seem to be stored on the google account, not the stupid offline phone calendar, by default (fixed in Froyo ROMs supposedly). Suggestions are appreciated.
Is anyone experiencing alarms not going off? This just happened again with one I set for 15 mins beforehand. I wonder if it'll ring much later...
I seem to be having issues with my exchange calendar syncing. I have just started to fiddle around to see if I can figure out what is going on. Do you have any update? I am on the most current srf, even though my sig may say otherwise at the moment.

Anyone else have calendar events not showing up? I have an event scheduled everyday that isnt showing a notification. I’ve looked at the usual stuff, notifications are on for calendar, etc....I have an iPad that’s also connected to the same gooogle calendar and they come through fine on it everyday. Anyone have any insight?
Is there an alert added to the calender entry? Like 10 minutes before?
Thanks for replying. There is an alert set,...it was for 10 minutes before, that didn’t work so I changed it to at the time of event, and that didn’t work. I read somewhere that it was because of the last update, so I uninstalled the update and it worked this morning. I’m going to give it a few more days to see if it still works and if so I know a calendar update came out yesterday so I’ll update to that and hopefully I won’t have to worry about it anymore.

I used to have problems with my calendar not firing alerts or just firing late on previous phones. Then I found an app on GPS called Events Notifier For Calendar (by RYO Software.) There is an XDA thread somewhere about it. I've been using it on my last three phones including this one and I feel it is indispensable! (As for the GPS rating, my guess is user error for most of people's complaints.) But it has never failed me and the developer is extremely helpful. It's probably one of the first 5 apps I now install on every new phone.
