Bluetooth and the XDA2s - assign button to toggle bluetooth?

For anyone that's interested:
My XDA2s works perfectly with my nokia CK-7W car kit with the standard widcomm software - only for phone audio as you'd expect - xda2s detects the car kit as soon as i turn it on. The only function I can't get it to work with is the voice dial. it does last number redial, answer, reject etc.
It also pairs with my computer and hotsync etc works nicely - no problems there. I was able to pair it with my wife's nokia 6310 and swap MP3/AAC files from the nokia to the xda2s (not that it knew what to do with an atrac ), but can't seem to do it the otherway round as the xda2s only seems to let you push 'obex' calendar, contact etc objects, not files etc.
One question - can I assign a button to toggle bluetooth on and off - i'd prefer not to have to go back to the start menu and turn it on that way - i'd prefer just to press a button on it as i'm getting in the car
You might try using this little app and map h/w button to it. It will toggle bluetooth on/off. Originally for Smartphones but hey it works for me on XDA2 so I'm not quite sure if it's gonna work on widcomm stack but worth a try eh?
nokia CK-7W car kit
Got a nokia CK-7W car kit for my XDA2 only to find out it doesn't work. Could you give me some help with the way you got yours to work ? Where do you find standard widcomm software ?
Thanks

Sorry mine is the XDAiis - it works because it has the half decent WIDCOMM stack on it, not the MS stack in use in the XDA2.
Sorry i can't be more help - don't know if you can rip out the MS stack and use WIDCOMM / Broadcomm drivers instead?

GPS over the bluetooth headset ??

I'm using my O2 XDA Orbit as a GPS, using the supplied Co Pilot software. It works well, but I'm wondering if there's way to get the directional instructions to come via the bluetooth headset ??
It's not a bind when I use it in the car, but I'll be mounting the unit to my bike as well and I won't be able to hear directions, with my helmet on
Try the normal handsfree(wired)
Well I use TomTom on my MDAC3, and do get the instructions on my wired handsfree.
I want to believe you can do the same with your bluetooth headset....but make sure u pair them first before starting the Co-pilot.....
Advice of your experience
May be this software

GPS for HTC-S620/621

Does any one know if there is a GPS for the S620? or does it have LBS?
thanks....
You can buy one bluetooth GPS and connect to the S620
you could run navizon which does wifi and cell positioninig if you dont want to carry a gps around. www.navizon.com
I use Socket Communications Bluetooth GPS Receiver and would highly recommend it. It works excellently with CoPilot Live Smartphone 6.

GPS on CECT A380i???

Is it possible to connect the phone to a external gps reciever and use software to turn it into a satnav phone?
Wouldn't get your hopes up for that...

I have Garmin installed on mine and it work fine. It should detect the GPS receiver once program is loaded. If not then check Tools>Settings>System>Remote GPS and see if Com4: Com4: is displayed.
I use Garmin too..and i have not figured out what makes it work.
Fact is, that when i install it and run it for the first few times, it does not work but then it starts working..crazy stuff going on and i am still trying to figure out what triggers it

Are you trying this at home? GPS usually doesn't work in buildings. I use iGo8 and have no problem at all with it but outside or in a car. Try going out and the use it- it should work...just wait some time to get connected with a satellite and before doing that download the positions of the satellites with quickGPS. In that way the whole process is faster

Psycomatis,is this a new install of garmin and ask you to connect to bluetooth gps receiver?
