Does any one know if there is a GPS for the S620? or does it have LBS?
thanks....
You can buy one bluetooth GPS and connect to the S620
you could run navizon which does wifi and cell positioninig if you dont want to carry a gps around. www.navizon.com
I use Socket Communications Bluetooth GPS Receiver and would highly recommend it. It works excellently with CoPilot Live Smartphone 6.

Hi,
Thinking about getting a TYTN and never had GPS navigation before so a bit of a noob. Whats the best kit to get, I would need the software and a GPS reciever so whats best to get.
I have found this - http://www.handtec.co.uk/product.php?xProd=142&xSec=8
Or is a bluetooth GPS receiver better? - http://www.handtec.co.uk/product.php?xProd=154&xSec=8
If its agains the rules to link to those websites I will delete them.
If you get the TomTom software then get the TomTom receiver as well because it will work right out of the box. Setting up non-TomTom satellite receivers in TomTom is a real pain in the backside.
I had absolutely no problems setting up TomTom with Holux GPSlim236.
Just pair the gpsreceiver with the phone and assing it a com port,
then select the correct port in TomTom. Works like a charm.
TomTom will even enable blutooth by itself.
Holux GPSlim 236
Also using the Holux without any problems. Small device with good battery lifetime and fast fix. Buy a small GPS so you don't have to leave it in your car. Thieves like them now everyone is taking his mobile out and radios tend to be build in by the car manufacturer.
Also take a look at i-Go software instead of TomTom. More maps available for East Europe and many nice features. Very fast on a TyTN! Can be installed from SD card.
Or look out for the SD version of TT5. It's always handy to be able to install a fresh version from the SD card after a PDA crash when there is no PC near. All other versions need Activesync to install, which you probably won't habe able to do on a holiday trip!

I'm awaiting my new Skoda Octavia Scout the next days, cause the Factory BT Handsfree from Cullmann was unable to get a stable connection to my Hero/ Artemis i cancelled it and plan to use a Funkwerk Dabendorf ego Flash.
But there will be a possibility to use TMC on an Hero/ Artemis to via an BT TMC reciever from gns soon (for the german speaking guys in here: http://www.pocketnavigation.de/news/view_1005/1.1.10.html) which i would like to use, too.
Edit: GNS TrafficBox FM9BT RDS TMC Receiver with Bluetooth
Optimizes TMC reception by connecting to the vehicle’s radio antenna
Designed for reception of digital traffic information via TMC
Allows dynamic navigation with suitable navigation software
Data transmission via Bluetooth
Alternatively with DIN / ISO or FAKRA plug
Power supply 3.3–14 V
So my question is: can the Artemis/ Hero (t-mobile branded) handle 2 BT connections at a time (Handsfree und TMC or TMC/GPS mouse?).
Thanks, Flocky
I currently have a Wizard and quite often have my BT GPS unit and my BT Headset connected and both work fine together, so I see no reason for the Artemis to be different, or at least I hope that is that case as I will be getting one next moth as I can't afford a Kaiser.
hi all is that possible i use Imate PDA2K as GPS
plz tell me any kind of help....

Yes it is. It works with most major GPS applications, TOM TOM, Handymap etc. You just need a bluetooth GPS receiver. I use it is my primary GPS device.
of course... just buy a gps receiver, garmin should b a good brand for it as well as the software.
Yes with BT GPS receiver it works like a charm. I'm using garmin software and BT138 (4 years old). I've also tried TomTom, IGO and others but because my specific needs I'm using garmin.
Hi,
Are there any issues with the above. I need a top notch reliable gps, and can't afford anything like tom tom etc. I've got co pilot live on my phone, but the issue is occasionally it just doesn't lock to satellites which I can't afford. Goggles navigation doesn't meet my needs unfortunately. I read there were some issues with the desire and pairing with gps devices over Bluetooth? I can pick up a cheapish gps receiver from eBay but don't wanna waste my money if its not possible.
Thanks
I use a bluetooth GPS receiver in my car for two reasons
1. It has an athermic windscreen and the bluetooth GPS with an antenna in the back window gets a much better signal
2. I use it as a trigger for a tasker script so that the phone knows that it is in my car
I am thinking of putting a bluetooth audio receiver in the car as well so that I can stream music from the phone to the car speakers
Is the One-X capable of simultaneously communicating with two different bluetooth devices?
thanks
gps test?
Which to do gps test my one x ?
I use an app called "Bluetooth GPS Provider" which works brilliantly. I think that is what your question meant?
Mine will connect to hands free and my obd2 reader at the same time via bluetooth. Do you have a way of testing before buying?
i think if it uses different protocols for each device then it would work
ie if one used a2dp and the other uses whatever gps uses, then yeah i think it would work , but best bet is to test it out first
