Not sure if this will help anyone or not but I read all MMS issue posted here and on the AT&T webside but was still not able to correct my issue on my new unlocked Excalibur. So I finally deleted all my connection settings and rebooted the phone. I then followed the AT&T settings found on the HTC Excalibur wiki and then was able to send and receive. I hope this helps.

Hi my friends as just rooted his HTC Desire (at was on T-Mobile)
He as flashed his phone with the new leedroid 2.3b
The problem he is having is when when the phone ask for network at the start of the setup T-Mobile is not list? think he as list
World Mobile
Talk Talk
Virgin Mobile
Does anyone know what he should select?
Don't select any of them, just press next. I think that is what I did.
You might have to add the APN values yourself later though.
Just do what scutworker has said above, after that you will need to follow the instructions in the thead i've linked below as the T-Mobile APN settings are no longer listed.

Hope this helps!
I just switched to T- Mobile and i am able to make and recieve calls. i can recieve texts as well. but i can't send texts and the service will randomly just drop out . i was told to add the t-mobile apn settings, but when i follow the instructions to do so, i don't see "Add" i just see "reset to defaults". can some one help.
Also, someone told me that it would be a good idea to install a t-mobile ruu on my phone. My phone is not rooted and has S-On. also, my bootloader is locked. would i still be able to install it?
see this thread. we're having the same problem.

Answer to second paragraph is a big no.
Haven't received a reply, so I'm updating my question with some new information.
I used Sunshine & am now rooted & s-off.
However, I still don't know what ROM I'm supposed to use:
- My HTC One M8 is a branded Verizon phone, but I've been running it successfully on MetroPCS
SO:
- Do I use a T-Mobile ROM (MetroPCS was purchased by TM and I believe my LTE & 4G comes from TM network)?
- Do I use a Verizon ROM?
Thank you in advance,
Hello,
I purchased an unlocked HTC M8 branded Verizon and have successfully been using it on MetroPCS' LTE network.
I'm considering a different ROM in order to:
- Remove all the Verizon bloatware
- Get as close to Android as possible (I'm dependent upon all the Google apps, gmail, hangouts, calendar, etc.)
- Hopefully get a working FM Radio
From all the threads/replies, I still have not been able to figure out which ROM I'm supposed to use:
- Since my phone is Verizon branded HTC M8, do I have to use ROMs developed for Verizon?
- Which ROM would get me closest to my goals?
Thank you,

Answers to my question
Okay, here's what I had to do to get my Verizon M8 which (thanks to Sunshine!) is s-off and unlocked and rooted to run lollipop (5.01).
1. So the good folk at therootninja.com were able to answer my question and they told me that I have to use Verizon ROMs.
2. I used these instructions to upgrade my phone to 5.01: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2727831
3. There are 2 issues I've encountered:
A. My mobile data says "disconnected" and no matter what I've tried, can't get it work.
B. Smart screen security (so my face can unlock my phone) does not work
Does anyone know how to fix "mobile disconnected"? Here's what I've tried so far and doesn't work:
- Used different combinations of APN that I found posted in this forum & via Google searches
- Recovered to my previous version (4.4.4), copied down the APN settings, re-recovered 5.01 and used the settings;
- Factory reset & put in the APN settings
At this point, I'm back to running 4.4.4 because I need my mobile data to work and my next step might be to go back to 5.01 and take the phone to MetroPCS and see if they can get it to work.
I honestly don't know what to do & would appreciate some help from this community.
Thanks in advance,

Some more answers
Okay, so today I restored to my last 5.01 image (twrp backup) and walked into the MetroPCS store.
Here is the APN info the gal, Tiffany, input which worked(!!):
Name: metro pcs
APN: fast.metropcs.com
MMSC: http://metropcs.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc
That's it, nothing else. I left the store estatic, drove home and when I clicked the menu, Mobile Data>GSM/UMTS Options, I reviewed the settings, BUT... when I exited the menu an automatic save was done and I lost my mobile data.
After much futzing, to include deleting the APN info & adding a new entry with the same info, I've found that by selecting LTE/legacy 3GPP mode in preferred network, I'm able to get mobile data working again. Go figure! :-?
In any case, the only final two things which are not "perfect" are:
1. Unrecognized SIM error (@DOTT suggested an xml file to edit)
2. Smart lock does not work, facial recognition never appears.
Hopefully someone will read this post & provide a reply. To date, I've submitted many questions and have not received many replies (2).
Getting a Verizon rom to work on another carrier is pretty easy. Since you are s-off you could use qpst to unlock the bands needed to get 3G and 4G working for MetroPCS. If you cannot get data to work, try a Verizon rom from the Verizon section. Verizon phones and Sprint phones have odd mount points,so flashing a rom for a different phone is not recommended. I know from experience on my m7 that a Verizon cannot be Co vetted to another variant. I don't know if the m8 is the same story as I have an AT&T branded converted to T-Mobile for the m8.

Long story short: try the Verizon m8 section instead of this one for help please. The people in this section have the T-Mobile branded m8 and yours is different.
Hi All,
I have a HTC One M9 (Unlocked -- S-ON), it was working perfect till I received the official MM 6 update 2 days ago. but after the update is done I found out that the Mobile Data is always showing " Disconnected".
Additional info, this device was assembled in UAE and was locked for Vodafone Qatar and I unlocked it to be able to use it on AT&T (US). I did'nt root it at all but I am ready to if this will fix the issue.
Do you have any solution that can fix this? or you suggest that I downgrade to LP 5.1? and how can I do both steps
I really appreciate your support on this.
Thanks
Best regards
Khaldoun CG
Have you set up a new APN yet ?
If your update did not complete the carrier setup...or if an error occurred...then your default APN will not be chosen.
Set up your APN under network settings...save it...and reboot to test....g

Thanks bro for your help,
I dont need to root my device or downgrade the software
Hi all
Ok I have searched around the internet and the problem I have is my settings for internet dont save. It just says it did but does not. Resetted the phone cleared it and no joy. O2 have said they cant send a text message to update the phone i am not sure why. I have read that this happens with o2 sometimes and cant find a solution. The GSM works fine but not the 4g.
I can put my other sim card in like vodafone and EE, it works fine. Anyhow it's on android 7 and the last thing I want to try is put stock android but I don't know how to do that as it might be glitch on the android system files.
The problem is strange as it only does this with o2 but not with other sim cards as you don't need to go and manually put internet settings in. Even if you did manually put it in does the same thing... as it says saved and then does not.
I have updated a samsung with Odin and a guide off sammobiles site but not sure what the HTC secondary official site is, as I want the original rom and how to install it.
Any help would be nice.
Thanks
When you insert the sim card you should get prompted for O2 payg or O2 monthly etc.. If you don't get a prompt then it could be a simcard issue. Does the O2 sim work as it should in any other device?

Stock roms can be found (together with flashing instructions) in the ReadMe thread. Take a look at the RUU section of the thread.
