I am using Ganii V3 Framework with 6.1.1 and Handcent . Well my issue is the smileys in handcent now are like the Yahoo

do you have a yahoo account installed? if not do you have yahoo as an option in accounts & sync in your main settings? if you do -- then get rid of that --
if you do not have a yahoo option then my post is moot.
Its ganii's framework, he changed the smileys from the droid to the yellow smileys

You could use Go SMS which has some nice themes. You can find it here.
There are 5 themes pre installed. Open messaging app, press menu button, click setting and choose skin.

There is a black contacts "app". Its in the phone or dialer and in that a tab that has all the contacts.

I know, but i like Sense stock sms app .
I don’t think there is a mod. But you can try a different messaging app like Handcent SMS. You can make it look like the stock messaging app by modifying the theme and color settings.

I don't have the m8 yet, and before buy it i would like to know something about the lockscreen.
I saw that there was a preview of the text messages on the lockscreen. This preview is only available with the stock sms app or does this preview also work with a third-app ?
