my dopod 838 pro cannot flash radio ROMs manually, is there OS ROMs that include Radio ROMs inside??
always get stuck when flashing Radio ROMs manually
or maybe it was a hardware error?
Is your current radio working?
There're probably no (custom) roms with a radio - and there shouldn't be...
You may have hardware problems if your radio can't get in... Hermes is known to crash the chip

Signal is always low in my jasjar...most of the times it is between o to 2 signals...is it a radio version issue or a rom issue or hardware issue

Hi, I've been trying to get hold of a more recent version of the radio ROM for my Universal (Orange-branded SPV M5000), and since my network provider's ROM update doesn't patch up to the latest version I resorted to the links on these forums. However, all the links to version 1.15 of the Radio ROM on the xda-developers ftp server seem to be dead, and in fact just trying to connect to the server root using the links in the wiki brings up a "the server is unreachable" error. I don't know if the server is temporarily down or whether the admins of this site have been forced to take down all links to it.
I have, however, managed to download one of the cooked WM6 ROMs linked to from these forums but hosted on other ftp sites. The one I picked is the L26 WM6 Pro V7 Videocall 2 ROM, which, in its release notes, says that the radio ROM included is 1.15. My question is, can I take the radio_.nbf file from that ROM and flash my device with it, or is that a specifically-WM6 version of the radio ROM which won't work on my WM5 Universal unless I flash it to WM6?
SEARCH for DARKFORCE ROM under windows mobile 6. You should find it included in the package.

Is the version of the 1.15 radio ROM included in the Darkforce package any different than the version included in Laurentius26's package? They're both WM6 packages - my question was whether the radio ROMs included in the would work the same with WM5 (I don't want to upgrade the WM6 as I lots of people seem to be having stability problems with it from what I'm reading on here, and I don't need any of the extra functions in 6).
Also, the bug that Bluetooth switches itself off under the 1.15 radio ROM that some people have reported: does it occur under WM5 or just under WM6?

I am not familiar with what kind of RADIO version Leo's ROM contains. I tried his a long time ago, so I forgot. But DarkForce ROM was the first one to release on this site version 1.15.00. It was the source of every Radio version 1.15.00 that you see out here.
The BT problem is in the CE ROM. The Radio ROM has nothing to do with that.
I suggest you read on how to upgrade just the radio part before pursuing anything else. You might end up upgrading everything and that is EQUAL TO A HARD RESET.
BACKUP first is the RULE!!!!

Yep, thanks, so I take it that since his is the source it WILL work on WM5 as well? Don't worry, I already read the relevant page on the wiki about how to upgrade the radio without flashing the whole thing! I just wanted to make sure all these WM6 radio ROMS will work on WM5 before doing anything!
Yes it works under WM5. You can update just the radio rom without a hard reset. You will find a guide somewhere here in the forums or in the wiki. I would have to search myself.
I was thinking about flashing an artemis radio rom.
seems there is some exchangebility in radio's according to chipset.
i saw a thread where they tried flashin a sedna radio in the nike, and i think ive seen some other threads where it was tried.
has anyone got an idea about succes rates? which radio transplants succeeded and which failed? in the nike thread they abandoned flasing the radio rom, but did use the sedna radio as a tremplate.
if you have experience flashing radio rom's from different phones (but same chipset) pls share your experience!

Ok i updated to hard spl (THNX Suracha and ru chonburi)
and tried to flash an Artemis radio (version 03.21.90)
but i get stuk at 79% then my pharos resets and i get the error "this update is not for your phone" or something to that effect.
dont know how to proceed, i really think it should be possible (maybe not wise, but possible) to flash that radio. any thoughts?....
I've upgraded my MDA Compact IV (Touch Diamond) with the Shine on 2.4 Full ROM.
My question is, after doing the Hard SPL and running the radio etc for this ROM upgrade and then upgrading the ROM, do I need to do a Hard SPL and radio upgrade if I wanted to use a different ROM? Or will one single HSPL and radio installation suffice for multiple ROM upgrades?
Just the once will do for both, although some radios are better than others depending on your area, network, GPS program etc. and many people experiment with different radios before settling on the best for them

I ve searching for rom already for 2 weeks. I bought used diamond which came with cooked rom which I think was most stable rom, I flashed my dm many times to get my gps working but nothing helped I tryied official roms, cooked roms with different radios but cant find suitable (always flashed with mtty to avoid problems). please help me to find rom In which gps will work, will have integrated g-config, ezinput, manila 2.1 (not colored taskbar), and will be STABLE. Sorry for my english and thx for help

I tryed many roms with different radios but GPS is not working. I ve tested radios 1.09.25.23 and 1.11.25.01. Even with official rom and official hot fixes from htc,also with htc gps tool and cold start but nothing ...
Considering you did try everything concerning radio and rom, i get the feeling you might have a hardware failure. I've had some GPS problems on various devices but was always able to solve them with the HTC GPS tool.
When and how did your GPS stopped working?
when I bought it gps was not working It came with hspl 1.40 olinex unsigned, and wm6.5. I even tryed garmiin 4 and tom tom 6 without results
i've got the same hspl as you with a wm 6.5 rom on it and a rather old radio (1.13.25.24). No problems using GPS in Googlemaps and TTNavigator (7.916.9189)

Yes. Steps involved while testing.
Install google maps (if not in included in rom)
update quick gps
Install htc gps tool =>change mode to cold start
go outside and run google maps.

I need your sggestion. I m searching for rom which is wm6.1 with tf3d 2.0 or tf3d 2.1 and very close to official one ??? Or is it possible to uninstall old touch flo from official rom and install 2.1 version or just updae to that version ???
