Signal is always low in my jasjar - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro Software Upgrading

Is there any solution?
Signal is always low in my jasjar...most of the times it is between o to 2 signals...is it a radio version issue or a rom issue or hardware issue

Is it a strnge problem???

You might get some more help if you provided a bit more information in this thread.
Rom?
Radio Rom?
Carrier?
Are you talking about GSM? GPRS? WiFi?
etc etc...

I have the problem in the GSM.I tried lot of roms and radio roms and the problem still exists,
now i am installing AKU3.5 with Radio 1.14.

Do i need to upgrade radio to 1.15?

I have successfully upgraded my ba to wm5. Everything runs great awesome job guys. My only question is, do i need to upgrade the radio to version 1.15. i haven't been able to find a change log for 1.15 anywhere. a search only turns up random results because people have the radio version listed in their signatures.
Thanks
Yes,I advise you to do this,1.15 is much better than 1.13,the voice is much loud and clear than before
And what about GPRS connection? Some people say that it in radio version 1.15 isn't stable? It is true?
Oh,i have even meet this problem, the GPRS connection is quite stable on 1.15
1.15 has louder voice, and GPRS is stable so far. I have experienced 'a frozen GPRS connection that won't disconnect' once only. I recommend you upgrade to 1.15
Can I just upgrade the Radio stack without going to WM5, etc? I just need a better signal. I also have a hearing problem.. so a louder voice on the phone would be very helpful.
Do I need hard reset if I upgrade only radio from 1.13 to 1.15 ???
You do not need to have WM5 so you can upgrade your radio stack. Just follow the instructions on Wiki. The only advantage of WM5 users is that they don't have to hard-reset when they upgrade the stack.
So, yes, when you upgrade your radio stack, you have to hard reset. You'll lose your data anyway when you enter bootloader mode and upgrade.
meaning i can upgrade the radio rom into a wm2003se? im currently running 1.12, and the reception is very weak, does this rom help?
sorry since im noob in this

radio 1.12

hi
can anyone point me in the direction of the download for this rom - i keep seeing it in people's sigs and i'm jealous
cheers
si
A newer version of the radio stack is not necessarily better than the older one. For example, several members in the UK find 1.09 works better than 1.11
I don't know where the 1.12 radio stack is, but the 1.11 is available here: ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Universal/Radio
1.11 radio problems
I have had strange probems with 1.11, including loss of signal & inability to dial in places where there is a signal. Only starts working again after a soft reset. Its intermittent but reason enough to go back to the QTEK ROM with radio 1.09.

I have a feeling that it depends on where you use your phone...
I had the same probs with droping calls where the phone worked before in the UK with 1.11 going to try 1.10 for a bit.

ROM version: 1.00.00WWE
Radio version: 1.06.00
Protocol version: 42.40.P8

fongsg: Go for the Qtek AKU2 ROM 1.30.77 1.30.176 1.09.00 WWE.
It is one of the few ROMs which have AKU2 as well as A2DP for Bluetooth. It's quite fast and stable as well. The radio ROM is also very stable - apparently better than the 1.11 stack.
i upgraded to radio 1.08 and so far have been having lots of probs with the signal, also losing my net connection etc.. anyone suggest a good radio?

Try 1.09. It seems to be the most popular radio stack at the moment.

what about RADIO 1.10 from T-mobile ???
1.10 gives me the best reception (in the Netherlands)
I'm having problems with 1.09 in the US I drop my GPRS and calls fail all the time. I am upgrading to 1.11 to see if this helps.
1.11 is REALLY bad in the UK on o2, bad signal, and once lost it is impossible to get back, have to switch off radio and then back on to get the signal back. That's my experience anyway, 1.09 is the best I have used so far, very strong signal and very stable
Using an O2 XDA Exec with Radio 1.09 in Asia [Manila, Philippines] any other Universal users who have updated to Radio 1.11? How is it? Does it perform better compared to 1.09? I am unsure if I should update my Radio to 1.11, some posts here say 1.11 is unstable for their territory but I would like some info on 1.11 radio ussage in Asia. TIA.
No problems here using 1.11. Been using it for about 1 month. Portugal territory

also have the XDA Exec here in Manila and I have tried 1.11. Went back to 1.09 as it seems to give me better reception
@herbules: Many thanks for the info I'll probably stay with 1.09, may I ask which operator you are on? I am on Globe and their UMTS coverage sucks.

yup...Globe UMTS really sucks, I also tried my Smart line on the Exec and UMTS was almost flawless, except I couldn't get my real player to play streaming vids smoothly
Hey guys,
Where I could download a stable Qtek 9000 ROM which is best in HK and Manila...?

Radio Rom 1.17.00 for Spvm5000

Hi,
I am currently using radio rom 1.13.00 on my spvm5000. Managed to get hold of T Mobile 1.17.00 Radio rom.
Is this rom OK for my device running on the Orange network. Will there be any improvements?
Many Thanks
General Radio ROM rule: If you don't have major stability / connectivity issues there is absolutely no need to change to a new ROM as any consistent improvements are quite rare and the higher version number guarantees nothing. Other than that 1.17.00 never gave me any trouble with several ROMs (contrary to 1.18.00) and will probably be the last Radio ROM I ever need for my Universal.
Thanks Falk.

Is there any OS ROMs that include Radio ROMs?

help me.. i'm noobs
my dopod 838 pro cannot flash radio ROMs manually, is there OS ROMs that include Radio ROMs inside??
always get stuck when flashing Radio ROMs manually
or maybe it was a hardware error?
Is your current radio working?
There're probably no (custom) roms with a radio - and there shouldn't be...
You may have hardware problems if your radio can't get in... Hermes is known to crash the chip
