I done a cold reset as thought this was my software build problem but the problem still remains so must be the bluetooth driver with the HTC touch pro 2/Rhodium
1) connect any mono bluetooth headset
2) under settings, you will see headset option to allow system sounds to go through bluetooth headset, tick this.
3) Now when the headset is in range any system sound will be routed to the bluetooth headset.
3) Run any app that uses the mic (Skype/VOIP/sound recorder)
4) The sound from the device will will be routed fine but you will notice that the mic from the bluetooth headset to device will not sound ok - the speed will be very fast like a robot.
If the bluetooth is making a standard phone call via the phone, it is perfect.
Anyone tried this and discovered this problem - is there a fix?
Anyone confirm this fault on their phone?
Fault when routing bluetooth system sounds
Hello,
I have this same problem again with my HTC Touch Pro 2 (and my bosses 10 months ago)
Anyone has a fix?
Thanks

Hello all,
I have a new HTC Touch Pro 2 (Raphael) and I have spent the last 2 house trying to get the system audio and mic (not phone audio) to route to my bluetooth headset or bluetooth audio in my car hands free and I can't seam to get any working..
This is what I have tried:-
Bluemusic V2
audioroute V1.2.020 (via XDA developers) - this works great allowing system audio to go through the phone speaker but no bluetooth function.
Sound Destination Gotlandh (via XDA developers) - works on old HTC Hermes but not HTC Touch Pro 2. - also needs headset button to set route audio but no button on car handsfree.
BTaudio (via XDA developers) - BTAudioOff.exe BTAudioOn.exe files - this would be great but I get an error when try to run - Failed to enable BT audio.
Surely with this latest phone I can use Skype/an SIP VOIP application/media player with the bluetooth headset - anyone got it working?
Thank you
Which phone do you have? The Raphael isn't the TP2. The TP2 is the Rhodium found here.
Opps,
thanks mindfrost82 - I made a mistake, it is a HTC touch pro 2 - please can a moderator move this to the Rhodium forum?
I have the same desire - I use this regularly and it appears that the WIDCOMM stack is sufficiently different that the existing little program (BTAudioOn/Off and BTAudioToggle) no longer work.
Blargh - anyone have a solution?
THERE IS! Its built in - go to the Bluetooth config screen, go to SETTINGS/Advanced, and in there under "Audio" is an option to route system sounds to the handsfree.
DONE!
Note that it has a side effect - it leaves the connection open forever if there's an audio stream available to it, so be cautious or you can drain the hell out of your battery, plus you won't ring normally (it will ring through to the headset) until you turn it off.
Hahaha - I discovered this today as well by accident!
Well done Genesis3!
I have tried the bluetooth headset with Skype and SJphone VOIP application and the bluetooth headsets speaker and mic work, the only strange thing is for some reason the bluetooths mic sound is speeded up the other end when heard on both Skype, Fring and SJphone, it sounds like I have inhaled a helium baloon!!
As soon as I disable bluetooth headset and speak with the speakerphone, the sound heard the other end is normal again.
Any Ideas anyone?
I have tried many bluetooth audio router software to get this far and I wonder if some registry settings are messed up. (the standard bluetooth connection to a normal phone call is fine)
Same thing here. Cant use skype through my bluetooth. Audio is routed to rer speaker

I just wanted to say Thank You! I've been going around in circles trying different btaudio this btaudio that to find a working solution and was even willing to pay 30 bucks for a program that would do it! Suffice to say, this worked perfectly with mortplayer and the audio stream I wanted to monitor.
Audio thru Bluetooth
Sure this works but isn't there a quick button (hopefully from the taskbar) that can accomplish this without going thru the 6 screens to get this done? Something similiar to Audioroute that would work on a Touch Pro 2 would be ideal..

Hi all, I have a new Bluetooth headset h680 which I have paired with the desire, its connected and when on a call the person on the other end can hear me but I cannot hear them....anyone have a similar problem?
No, but only tested Plantronics 975. which works fine.
I Have a problem with the bluetooth as well. The connection and pairing are OK but there is no sound coming out of the headset.
I've google it and it seems there is a general problem with the bluetooth audio.
I also have a bluetooth problem.
I paires with my car kit (jvc kd-r711) and after a few seconds i get a error saying "headset disconnected"
I've read similair problems since the froyo update. Anyone else have the same problems?
@johnsten
Yes, I have the same problems with my Volkswagen Golf 6 navi!
At first, the phone connects just fine. No problems at all. Made several calls, phone book is synced automatically. All fine..
But then after some time it gets bugged. When I tart my car, and the systems sais.. phone connected. My desire sais "headset connected", and after some seconds it says "headset disconnected". The Bluetooth connection remains active, but the phone is not in "headset" mode.
The only thing that really seems to fix this problem is a full system swipe, but then I lose all by programs and Angry birds savegames
I really want to get rid of this problem. Any ideas?
Grtz, Ron
similar to jah, only tested the plantronics 975, never had issues
also working well with my Jabra Extreme so far
no problems with Nokia BH-503 and SE MW600
No problem with my SE MW600 either, for 340 SEK (36€) it has everything I need: volume, back, play-pause, forward and mic
No problem with either my JVC-901 car head unit or Sony Ericcson HBH-980 stereo headset
ford focus bluetooth headset issue
Hi there, I have a problem with the desire and Bluetooth with my Ford focus.
It pairs fine, but looses connection after about 45 seconds. If you check a task manager you see the Bluetooth process at very high CPU after the disconnect, for a number if minutes.
If you make a call before the Bluetooth drops out it remains connected for the duration of the call !
Tried disabling WiFi etc, makes no difference.
Any ideas?

I had just the exact problem no problems any more though after this fix I dont know if it was a bad rom flash that screwed something up for me but BT works great now
I have the same problem, bluetooth paired but can not hear anything. I tried over 10 different, but it does not help. Can anyone solve this problem?
I'm having a similar problem with my car stereo & HTC Desire bluetooth connection.
I have a Silvercrest stereo with blutooth which worked with my provious Nokia & Blackberry but cannot get it to work with my Desire (2.2 Froyo)
The 2 devices will pair but when I try to make a call or receive a call the devices disconnect.
I am not at all savvy about flashing ROM's or anything so as simple a resolution as possible please...(& no, changing my car radio is not an option )
Any info is greatly appreciated as I spend a lot of time in the car & need the hands free

I have a Pioneer 7100bt car radio and a Desire with Leedroid 2.2f and i does the same.
Does somebody know a solution??
I too have a H680 and like you, callers can hear me however, I can hear them but very quietly even with volume full up.
I also have a Jawbone 2 where I can hear callers but they cannot hear me very well.
The Jawbone 2 was fine with previous handsets.
No solution though, sorry.
Has anyone else paired a headset to their slide and had media audio come through it?
I paired my old jawbone2 to my slide and when I was playing a game, game audio came through the ear piece. It only happened ONCE and now everything (except calls and the genius button) is back to the phone speaker.
Is that normal? Should audio be routed through my BT Headset like that? I was pretty certain only calls should go through to a non a2dp device.
I don't know anything about the jawbone2, but I have no problems. For regular phone use, I have a Motorola H500 and I always play Pandora in the car, and have never had music come through the H500, just voice like it should be. (I've used the H500 on the G1 I ordered on launch day, on a Motorola Droid, a Sprint EVO 4G, and the 3G Slide on a variety of stock and non-stock ROMs.) I also have a Motorola S9 A2DP headset, and the audio works as you would expect on it also on all of those devices. Maybe the Slide detects the Jawbone2 in a funky way somehow. What does it say when you go to Settings->Wireless & Networks->Bluetooth Settings->Jawbone2 (press & hold then select options.) If it's not a A2DP headset, it should just say "Phone, Use for phone audio." An A2DP headset will also say "Media, use for media audio." If you are lucky, the phone is just detecting it wrong and you can uncheck the Media option.
It only did it once and then went back to acting like a normal BT headset.
I am going to chalk it up as a fluke from initial pairing.
And under options it says phone audio only which is ok.
I'm replacing it with a Jawbone Icon tomorrow which supports a2dp and a whole slew of other nifty features for a single ear headset.
Don't deal with much bluetooth headsets but i do hook it up to my car stereo and i know there are settings in the bluetooth of that specific device. have you had a chance to look in there?
Bluetooth Pairing problems
I have similar problems when pairing to my truck stereo. It auto pairs when I get into the truck and works perfectly well the first time I make a call. But after that it doesnt disconnect properly AND it will disconnect but will stay paired.
I am able to go into BT setting and have it reconnect.
Works once then bam not connected again.
I have Android version 2.3.3
Baseband 47.3201.35.06U_7.07.35.025
Kernel 2.6.32.17 -Cyanogenmod-g501281a
Mem Info
183MB /418MB
Build GRI40
Connecting to a Kenwood Receiver
DNX9140
It worked fine for my Nexus Not sure why this is happening.
Thanks
Hello, I just bought a bluetooth headset that supports both headset and a2dp mods.
I can listen to music fine.
And when i receive a call it switches to headset profile fine..
I can hear the call from earphones but..mic does not work.
I downloaded and tested with an application bluetooth mic tester and it was working fine in this application.
So no hardware problems with it.
What i suspect is, this headset doesnt have any pin code to pair devices..
You just discover the device and pair without any pins..
So, can it be a security issue not to enable microphone on calls?
And if so,
is there a way to change this behaviour, modiying a file etc on audio settings??
Thanks?
I have a Moto z play, when I play the audio via Bluetooth speaker the audio suddenly gets transferred to my mobile headset and starts playing via headset even when the Bluetooth speaker is in connected state, I have to disconnect the device and reconnect it inorder to play the audio back on the Bluetooth device, does anyone else have the same issue ? Is this a software glitch or a defect with my headset itself ?
The head set is a Bluetooth headset?? Your device probably recognizes that as a primary Bluetooth source and will connect to that first. Turn off the Bluetooth headset off and that will solve the problem....

Thanks for the replay. It's actually my mobile which starts playing the music instead of my Bluetooth speaker however the speaker is still connected to headset and I can control the audio play, pause and next options from the speaker but the sound comes out of my mobile speaker instead of the Bluetooth speaker the same happens with my Bluetooth headset. I have to disconnect the Bluetooth speaker and reconnect it to play the audio from it.
