[Q] Black Screen Crashes - Thermal Problem?

A week ago, a weird thing happened to my mother's S3. We were using it to navigate, and all of the sudden it just turned off. When I booted it back up, the battery had dropped like 75% and it shut down. Trying to start it again just saw it crash on the bootloader screen.
Ever since then, the phone has been randomly shutting down. I installed a new ROM, AOKP 4.3, but the same thing happens. If you let it just sit on the home screen it is OK, but as soon as you do anything CPU intensive, like open the browser, it insta-dies. Could this be some sort of thermal issue with the chip?
It turns out that the battery was causing the problems. If I plug it in, it works fine.

Actually, it turns out that removing batterystats.bin did the trick.

I'm having the exact same issue, screen isn't responding and won't switch off, despite how long I hold in the power button.
Anyone got any suggestions?
Same here. Someone can help?
Ok, mine eventually died.
Whatever happened was draining the battery as the watch was warm the whole time (instead of my normal 2-3 days, it died in around 4-5 hours).
Plus point is that after plugging it in to charge, it switched back on and is currently working fine, it's sitting on my desk charging now. However am more than a little concerned about this happening again.
I've had same issue twice - first time when installing TWRP recovery (understandable ) and today having a lot of saves to watch creating a watch face. Both times reacting like,

I think there is a memory leak in software.
I've had a major issue where the watch turns off local Bluetooth after getting hot. The only way to turn Bluetooth on again is to turn the watch off and then charge to 100%, last turn on again and then reconnect.
This started after the 5.0.1 Update.

The same issue
Hi!
I have the same issue. Sony SW 3 is connected to Sony Xperia Z Ultra. This issue is the second one, the first time I managed to reset SSW 3 by long pressing (about 10-20 seconds) the button on the watch.
I've got the same problem but screen is off. I cannot wake it (or turn it ON). I was charging it, it was turned off, after 30 mins of changing it vibrate, I unplugged it and now it seems dead. What can I do? t
Try long press the power button?

yes i do. Probably solved the problem. I don't know why but, also if in charge, my watch reached 0% on battery, so it wasn't unable to load up. This morning tried to turn it on (yesterday it woke up for 2 sec, after it died, plugging in into charge was a waste of time) , and in the few second it turned on (in the bootlogo), i put it into charge. Now seems to work but that's quite strange because yesterday i put it on charge when it was about 10%
My SW3 hanged again this morning, i charge it overnight and when i unplugged the charger, it hanged.
as usually, nothing can reset the watch until it burn out the battery. it really annoying and i hope google or sony will fix this soon.
I had it happen once to me too, I wonder if there is some sort of memory leak or some other issue.
I have not been in the habit of powering off my watch but maybe a good idea?
I had the exact same issue was skipping through song then it froze waited 4hrs for battery to drainn
drain turned it back on and it said 0% battery so I reset it and it said 2% battery but every now and then it freezes and I have to reset it holding power for 15 sec also I notice more lag in lollipop and it did freeze on me not too long ago
The 5.0.1 Lollipop Wear update is a piece of sh!t. My Smartwatch3 was rock solid until it came along.
- Currently waiting for the battery to drain so it can come to life again...

Battery problem

When I charge my battery and it is 100% my TAb S is switching off. I only see the battery picture showing 100%.
I did a hard reset and a clear install without results. Anyone an idea what happens?
Are you saying it switches off completely or the screen does?
It switches off completely, not only the screen.
I had this problem a couple of weeks ago,has soon has the tablet booted up it would switch off then I would have to boot up again, then it would switch of again.i had the battery changed by Samsung about a month ago it started switching off since that battery change, the new battery started discharging just like the first battery, the tablet is now back with Samsung,i am hoping to get it back in the next couple of days, lets hope they fix it this time.Longlegs

Note 2 keeps shutting itself

Hello, so I have one a bit strange problem with my Galaxy Note II. The problem is that the phone shuts down by itself randomly. You can't do anything on it unless you restart it by long pressing power button or pull out the battery. The interesting part is that if I have notification I havn't checked my LED keeps blinking even in that "power off" state. So I don't think its actually shutting down. Can anyone relate and help me what is the reason my phone is doing this? I forget to mention I noticed some battery drops in the default battery monitor when this "shut downs" occur. Can it be battery related? Also I'm running stock Android 4.4.2 and no root or what so ever.

Auto sync keeps turning on

Hi everyone,
I'm using a OnePlus 3 and my phone auto sync keeps turning on itself. I have this problem a few months ago when I'm still using havoc os, then after that I flashed xtended. Starting was fine, it didn't turn on itself, but after a week or more of use, it started to turn on by itself again. It's quite annoying, bcs I don't wanna drain my battery too much so I usually just switched it off and turn it back on when I need it.
Usually it will turn on by itself when my phone is charging but sometimes it will also turn on when my phone is discharging.
Does anyone know what is the problem? Or its just my settings are wrong?
Pls let me know if you know anything about this, thanks
Same problem
