Steps before Upgrading wm6.1

Hi I have a Kaiser and I can pimp it fine, however looking briefly on the Artmeis section my friend has asked to upgrad hi windows 5 to windows 6.1.
Do I..a) just install the rom in the upgrades section i.e cube version
or..b) is there something I have to install first before doing a rom upgrade.
i.e on the kaiser I had to install Hard-SPL before upgrading, is there something similar that needs to be done..
If the above 2 steps need to be done or just one step can someone please send me a link to those relavent files....I think the title and question put accross is a worthwhile thread for newbies and they can pick it up easily if all the information is replied to in this thread.

A hard-uspl-like program is included in Meschle's and Toms roms. Just execute step1.bat (which is USPL), reset, then step2.bat (which is the actual flasing of the rom).

have u got a link direct to these roms please, it will be like one page read up for newbies with all the info on this thread

Meschle's Touch ROM

Black Screen and nothing happen

I m trying to load hard-spl in to my HTC Diamond PRO to allow me to flash with Portuguese ROM but when I got the black screen I can see the USB connection drop off and nothing happen after?
Could someone tell me what should I do ?

First check if you have a Touch Diamond or a Touch Diamond Pro. The devices and the Hard-SPL's, ROM's and Radio's are not the same!
If you have a Touch Diamond, maybe someone on this forum can help you. If you have a Touch Diamond Pro, you shouldn't be flashing Touch Diamond Hard-SPL's, ROM's and Radio's from this forum! In that case, check the Raphael ROM development forum for more info.

Diamond Radio ROM

Hi,
Can you please let me know if radio ROM from Raphael aka AT&T Fuze will work properly on HTC Touch Diamond? I'd like to know before I'll brick my phone.

Please don't try weird radio ROMs on your phone. As far as I can see, the Fuze radios don't work on the Touch Diamond
I very HIGHLY suggest you go to the second post in this forum 'Diamond ROM development' entitled 'Diamond Radio Thread [Updated 28.03.2009] - 3 new SU radios.eg v1.13.25.24 'and select a radio ROM from there. Make sure you have HARD-SPL installed and follow all instructions before you attempt to flash.

Yes, you can do it on 2g Indian Diamond.

Its needs a little reading and please make sure you do read or else you might end up with an expensive brick!
Also Ensure your phone is GSM and not CDMA.

Absolutely no problem. Pickup any ROM( of course for Diamond) of your choice and flash.
I am using it and no problem......

Hi, you can even look at my tutorial for Indian Diamond. I had lot of difficuly in searching specific info on flashing INDIAN diamond, hence wrote this tutorial.. Hope it helps..

Thanks for creating a beautiful thread that would help the Diamond 2G users. I would say that should be the bible for all the 2G users.
I have a question. When i did Hard SPL i used this one "Hard-SPL 1.40 Olinex SIGNED" however i noticed in your thread and in your signature that you have mentioned to use "Hard-SPL 1.40 Olinex Developer Edition-unsigned ". Can i please ask what is the difference and can i go back to what is mentioned in your thread even though i have already done "Hard-SPL 1.40 Olinex SIGNED"?
Also i had tried installing a radio version from the diamond thread of 1.13 but it gave an error that its a wrong device....could it because of the signed Hard SPL?

Buyed a Vario 5 and need some Help!

I Buyed that phone a week before with the last original t-mobile rom 6.5 with touchflo 3d from Oktober 2009 but i would like to install a new rom
is there some more actual official?
is it possible to flash htc touch pro2 rom´s like the energy when i hardspl the vario 5 or does i have to prepare something different?

I think the HardSPL should work with your device too, but i have a bad experience with HTC Touch pro and undo HardSPL (device become bricked after undo). So i suggest to flash official if you doesnt want to loose the warranty or flash HardSPL and dont go back (use custom ROM, i suggest Jackos S3 TF3d).

Please, don't post questions in development sections.
