This is a guide/ suggestion I done for another forum. It may work on winamp too but I'm not sure
Occasionally I like to listen to music on my phone however there is so many songs I like and I was sick of manually creating play lists on my phone every time I flashed over to a new ROM. I had a quick squint on the web and found a neat little program that creates play lists for you so when you transfer the album or song folder onto your Galaxy S your music player automatically builds the play lists for you!
Here’s my quick guide
1. Download the Playlist Creator program here http://www.oddgravity.de/app-opc.php and install
2. Create a folder on your pc and name it anything you like. I call mine “Galaxy Music”
3. Drop the albums you want on your Galaxy into this folder
4. Open the album you want to create the playlist for then open your playlist creator program
5. Drag the folder into the playlist creator and then all your songs from that album will appear.
6. Choose the file path to save the new playlist
7. Enter the name of the album where it says “name and type” then use the drop arrow to select .m3u
8. Click “Create Playlist” Now your saved playlist will be in the same folder as your songs for that album
9. Once you have created all your playlists for the music your putting on your phone you can drag the complete folder together with the sub folders on to your external sd card
To drag the files on to your sd card
1. Touch Settings – Wireless and network – USB Settings – then put a dot in either 2Mass storage or Ask on connection”
2. Plug your USB cable into your phone and then touch “Mass Storage” then “Connect USB”
3. Locate your external sd card and then simply drag your files on to it and load up. Once loaded up your all done!
Now when you go in to your music player you can instantly touch “playlists” and then choose what album you want to listen to so there’s no need to scroll down your music list to find your favourite song anymore!

Anyone know where downloaded audiobook mp3 files get stored after there downloaded. I can play them from a file menu after it downloads but if I close it
I cant find it again.
I have a Galaxy Nexus (Verizon) that I recently upgraded to 4.0.4 I am trying to find where the temporary internet files are stored on this phone. I downloaded and installed ES File Explorer, but I am not finding any files. After viewing a video online, I would like to find it on the phone (I can do this on my PC). Is this even possible? Are there any apps that would capture streaming video?
I dont think Android captures streaming video.
As for files, you could check the 'Android' folder in the root of the 'sdcard'. Usually thats where apps store their info, where the folder's name is the actual package name.
I rooted my phone to gain access to the 'Android' folder in the root of the sdcard, but was unable to find anything. I also checked the '/data/data' folder and did not find anything. I also noticed that when I view a video on my browser, it actually opens the gnex video player to play it. Is there any way to view it in the browser?
The Groupon app has a lovely notification sound, however I cannot find the file anywhere on my phone. I've tried looking via a local file explorer and the Android File Transfer tool for Mac. I want to use the notification for my SMS.
Does anyone know where to find the file?
Thanks!
Your going to need to extract the apk on a computer and find the audio file there, Then move it to the phone, move it to this directory- /system/media/audio/notifications
Then reboot.
Sent from my Rooted Galaxy Nexus
Found it
Here's the file in case anyone is looking for it.
Hi,
I'm a fairly advanced Android user that mainly uses Cyanogenmod but I am having a problem with the stock ROM on my HTC One (M8).
I regularly download a podcast as an .mp3 file. When I click on the downloaded file I get offered to open it only in 'Gallery' or the 'Image Gallery' component of File Manager HD. Obviously neither of these apps can handle an audio file. The same happens when I try to open it using the stock 'Downloads' app.
If I try to open it from Either the stock file manager or from file manager HD I get the full range of apps that can handle .mp3 files.
I am guessing that the phone is recognising .mp3 as an image file extension instead of an audio file extension but cannot find any setting to change this.
It's so frustrating as the file doesn't have the correct details in the MP3 tag so it is impossible to find it in poweramp
Any ideas?
