Hi!
My question is as follows: I bought an Excalibur SIM unlocked (free for any carrier) from ebay and it comes with WM6.1 installed with chinese/english interface. I would like to install the oficiall spanish wm6 rom from HTC...Can I do that just with the rom loader and then install the oficial spanish rom or I need to do something more to avoid errors? I assume since my excalibur is brand new and has a non-oficial rom installed that it is unlocked already.

Ok, thank you so much for your information, but not sure, that`s procedure will be succesful no matter what rom`s language are you loading?? ( I mean my present rom is chinese/english and I want to load a spanish one)

Hey everyone. Was just wondering if there's a way to get a localised French ROM running on a JasJar? I tried downloading the updated M5000 Orange ROM to attempt an extraction of what I think would be French .cab files in the extended ROM, but i'm really unsure of how to go about this...
Is there an easier way? Thanks for any assistance!!!

Hi, I'm looking for the newest GER Rom for my Universal. At the moment I usw 1.20.34 GER with Radio 1.06. Has someone a download link for the newest GER Rom for me? Jwrightmcps 1.31.79 is only avaible in WWE at the moment But I still kepp the hope heÄll release a GER one

i´ve read much about updating ROM on my universal within the last few weeks...
i figured out - for me personally - the qtek ROM (1.3x.xx) is the one i want.
do you know if its possible to flash a t-mobile branded one with a qtek ROM or will i get into deep trouble?!

Hi!
I did it. But its a litte hard: I downloaded this app: http://buzzdev.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=65&Itemid=1 runned it on all 3 free files from the latest T-Mobile update, wrote down the Tags (Language etc) and afterwards I entered those informations into the Qtek update. So the update "beliefes" to be for a MDA pro...
I did it too I downloaded the last German version for Qtek 9000 (1.30.96) and installed it with the MaUpgradeUt_noID utility. I use the new version since 5 days now and it´s a lot more stable now and some extra features with it. I only updated the ROM and the Radio Version, not the extended Rom.

It would be nice from any developper to take a look at this device to see if anything like a unlock sim tool and a new rom with Touchflo could be made =) I'd really like to buy this device 'cause it looks like to be a good WM6 device with fast processor and nice screen. Thank's a lot!

I second that! I'm looking to buy a German version (Vodafone-branded, but SIM unlocked unlike the French version), but I really hope that someone in here will be making a CID unlock (I think it's called) so that an English ROM can be flashed on it when the English version of KS20 eventually comes out

You need CID unlock but there is (at this time) any tool to do this on the KS20.
And also a English rom, some french people have successfully dump the KS20 rom.

I think this phone is not sell at this time in UK or USA, so there no english rom for now. KS20 will be soon sell under LG MS25 reference in US... So stay tuned
I'm not sure what is exactly CID, but i know that CID unlock is something we need to do to be able to put another rom on all pocketpc device.

I bought a Diamond phone which has German language. I can't buy a Diamond with English language in Germany.I would like to change the language into English. Could anyone help me how to do this step by step? Are there any problems if this changing process doesn't work.

Can I use this ROM image to flash German version of phone, without HardSPL? Is this a European version of ROM, that can be installed on every EU phone, regardless of language?
Please help, i realy want to buy Diamond - but don't understand Geman at all, and I'm afraid of "hacking" with hard-spl (at least for now).

If you wish to update a device with a different language you must use an hardspl hacked.
Or buy a unbranded one, in the language you want.

Of course you can, here: www.handit.de
They also carry the English version.
Switching from German to English is pretty simple though, you just need to use one of the cooked(or OEM) ROMs available here in the forum. Just make sure they're in English.
Btw: you'll loose your warranty if you're using a cooked ROM or if you're using a non-approved(for your region) OEM ROM, just make sure you're aware of it.

Yes you need to install HardSPL to install a non-Swedish ROM as the phones are region locked and HardSPL region unlocks it (not sim unlock) this allows you to install cooked ROMs or official ROMs from HTC for another region.

Yes because if it sim unlocked it does not effect the region ROM locking that HTC or the carrier put i place which is why you need hardSPL to unlock the bootloader so it will allow you to install unofficial and official ROMs from other regions or carriers! So the answer is yes.
