english rom for dopod 900?

anyone has an english rom for dopod 900?
what can be the problems if i change the language rom, chinese to english? software incompatibility?

Hi,
I bought a Dopod 900 with a chinese ROM and flashed it with the JasJar ROM available on this site.
I did not experience any problems. The dopod bluetooth headset that came w ith my Dopod works fine and I also manage to use the voice commander through the headset to do voice dialing.
Actually the voice works with anything. I made a command for "calculator" to start up the calculator.
I've downloaded the game "Bejeweled 2" and it works fine.
I've experimented with the VGA hack, that works, but I get eye strain.
I've been talking to Dopod Singapore (www.dopodasia.com) about getting an english Dopod ROM from them but am still waiting for a response.
While the JasJar ROM works fine, I want to see what the other ROMs can do.
I havent tried the O2 Exec rom because I do not know how to use the NoID installer with the O2 installer.
With the JasJar ROM, the files were seperate from the executable, if anyone can point me to the O2 Exec ROM files which ARE usable with the NoID installer, please paste the URL here and I'll try that.

i ve been hesitant to buy the dopod coz all the dealers here in taiwan says there will be some software compatibilty and that they wont be giving me any warranty for the same.
but after coming to this forum, i see thr r ppl like u who have succefully flashed the rom!
but i am a lilttle sckeptical of changing the rom myself. as i am scared something might go wrong(as it is not a cheap toy). i am a total newbie and i dont read chinese at all.
so i will be very grateful if you or anyone can give me a step by step procedure of flashing the rom

ı bought a dopot which in chinese and than upgrade it to english but ı used meupgrade no id.. but its work greatknow and no proplem.

UK Orbit updated to Black&Blue and also Radio Rom Issue

Hi Guys,
I am trying to get BlackBerry working on my XDA Orbit.
I upgraded via the SPL Method and then installed the Version 2 of the Black&Blue.
I then upgraded to the latest GSM Rom 02.93.90
As I could not get BB working I wanted to now install the German o2 Rom as Users reported they got BB working with this.
I again did the SPL Method but now always at 3% the German O2 Rom stops and gives me the Fehler / Error 244
Any hints ?

Sure it came out while ago.

Iv got an o2 UK XDA Orbit, works fine with the B&B V2 and V3 rom. Also installed it on my uncles orbit last night, his works fine too.
What problems did you have with the rom? Maybe i can help?

1) IF you have key unlock CID. Sync PPC to PC and Run key Unlock CID.And Update German 02 Rom.
2) Run USPL v0.1 by Pof and Update Again German Rom.

Another question about WM6 upgrade for Asus Jupiter aka XDA Graphite aka v1210 / VDA IV . I have read about the WM6 upgrades for this device. There are different questions you may answer (if you know;-)
Facts:
1.) I have a German Vodafone VDA v1210 / VDA IV with Windows Mobile 5.
2.) I like this smartphone very much - so i would like to upgrade and keep it
Questions:
1.) Which language Files are included in the original O2 UK update ? (English for sure - what about German?)
- I found an original upgrade on Vodafone New Zealand Site - but any hints about installed languages - except English of course :-(
- I also found the upgrade on my-xda.com , but I canot download because of OEM Vodafone Hardware.
2.) Would it be possible to flash the O2 Firmware on this device ? ( my first ASUS Hardware based Smartphone - HTC has CID Lock in most cases) ( 1 Year ago I flashed my XDA phone with an Original Qtek 8310 update - it worked fine, although missing Hardware like WIFI in XDA phone)

IICRC...If you get a brand new dash in a box from Tmo right now, it comes with .6. The only thing they have on the website tho' is .4 which is the first Tmo WM6 rom. According to a Tmo tech, .6 was a stability update, and some tweaks to T-Zones, with the same feature set.

HTC just added support for registering it's devices assembled in Brasil on it's brasilian website, so I did it and downloaded a wm 6.0 ROM with support for Portuguese as the system language.

It's a "generic" multilingual ROM, not just portuguese as before stated.

can you find in your browsing history where you got that ROM? i'd like to see it and compare with kavana or rickwyatts ROM to see if its the same version, but renamed.
edit: basically if this ROM is official, it should install without the JUMP SPL CID BYPASS. If it still needs or uses the CID Bypass, this its either a renamed kavana or rickwyatt or another cooked ROM based on kavanas WM 6.1 ROM.

Saw it and grabbed it from home. I'm at work now. When I get home, I'll post it for you.
The article stated it was the official T-Mobile 6.1. I'm happily running kavana's but since I need to flash someone's work phone, I figured an official (albeit leaked) would be better.
When I get home, I'll see if I can find the link. I know it was posted on a 4shared or some other free hosting service. Don't remember which one though but they left the official filename intact.
I've been searching all of my nerd sites to re-find the article and I swear it's like it never existed. It's driving me nuts!

I am new to this forum. And i just wanted to know, out of all these rom updates which rom update is most suitable and stable for my imate JASJAR. When i was younger i downloaded an update which made my JASJAR WM6 but it is sort of laggy and has slight problems with recieving calls sometimes.
So, can i please get anyone's opinions, particularly people who have experience with this or even people who own an Imate JASJAR and have updated their own device..

jasjar is the same as Dopod 900 / Qtek 9000 / SFR v1640 / Vodafone v1640 / Vodafone VPA IV / T-Mobile MDA Pro / O2 Xda Exec / Orange SPV M5000 / Grundig GR980 / E-Plus PDA IV. So yes you are in the right section

i have loaded the rom onto my Uni, synced all the contacts etc. BUT when i activate pin number, it says type in your pin number. I typed it in, (ie the pin number i used b4 rom update), but it doesnt recognise it.
Does this mean, there is a problem or has the pin number gone back to default?????
