Hallo people,
I bought a Diamond phone which has German language. I can't buy a Diamond with English language in Germany.I would like to change the language into English. Could anyone help me how to do this step by step? Are there any problems if this changing process doesn't work.

I have same question, except that I don't have Diamond yet - but German is only version which I can buy.
I already downloaded official ROM:

Can I use this ROM image to flash German version of phone, without HardSPL? Is this a European version of ROM, that can be installed on every EU phone, regardless of language?
Please help, i realy want to buy Diamond - but don't understand Geman at all, and I'm afraid of "hacking" with hard-spl (at least for now).
Does anyone can answer?

If you wish to update a device with a different language you must use an hardspl hacked.
Or buy a unbranded one, in the language you want.

Of course you can, here: www.handit.de
They also carry the English version.
Switching from German to English is pretty simple though, you just need to use one of the cooked(or OEM) ROMs available here in the forum. Just make sure they're in English.
Btw: you'll loose your warranty if you're using a cooked ROM or if you're using a non-approved(for your region) OEM ROM, just make sure you're aware of it.

You can also buy it outside Germany.

I think you really should check your messages before sending them because they don't make sense. On the other hand, they tell us that English is not your native tongue, I guess.
So you have an English P3300 and you would like an English ROM. If it doesn't have now, what is English about it then? What I think you mean is that you allready have an English ROM and want a German one. Right?
The sad news is there is not one. Well, not for free on the Internet anyway. So all you can do is wait and pray, or send it to a servicecenter in Germany. But they might, and probably will, charge you to have the ROM replaced.

I think the KS20 rom is not released in hungarian. In Hungary, the shops are selling it with an english rom, which is turned into hungarian here in Hungary, so basically it's not a hungarian rom.
I think the story is the same with the Diamond...

Edit: However, you can change the language of your rom for yourself Google it, it's device specific as far as I know, and do it on your own risk!

You have to edit the base rom. You can find information about this here on the Xda developers forum
Edit: Do you need hungarian roms anyway? Because if these roms are in a language you don't know, the best option is to flash the devices with english roms, you can obtain those from the devices support sites.

Well I speak the 3 main languages ( English, Spanish, Hungarian) very very well so its not gonna be the problem... )
Just my girlfriend whos willing to use the LG KS 20 doesnt speak English nor Spanish...thats why I should get the ROM in Hungarian for Her...
Hi! Yesterday i bought my first HTC Touch Diamond P3700. I have never used any HTC cell phone. My problem. I live in Norway and this phone is in norwegian, but i want it to change to english. If I checked the ROM update, then it gives me only norwegian version. I'm thankful then somebody help me a little.

You have to update the rom to a WWE (world wide english) ROM. But you can change the language of the Manilla.

Thank you for answering. Can You tell me little more about it, what can i use or add any useful links. Because if i add my serial number to htc.com support, it gives me automatically norwegian version.

I read some threads, and the latest WEE official version was corrupt or somthing.
There are some Official Roms you can flash, though, i dont know if they are fast or not. I'm a Raphael user (Touch Pro). but read in the Diamond Rom development for good rooms.

If your are willing to "brake the warrenty" you could allways flash a coustom rom. And flash back to a origianal rom if you are sending it to service for a hw problem.

Hello, Very quick I bought a TP2 here in Ukraine. I did order one in English in other words a Euro model. I did get a Euro model but with the Russian. How is it possible to change this unit back to its original RRU. I really do not understand how someone managed to flash this test rom to the device. On start up there is a notice NOT FOR RESALE TEST ONLY. Will I have to wait for HSPL. This is a Euro TP2 for sure and on the box there is a EAN code and the manuel and keyboard are English. Comments are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem. I wanted a device in english. But I wanted to have that damned thing so much that I couldn't wait and bought a TP2 for myself
My russian is not that good, so I am not enjoying that device so far. Do you think it is possible to install an english rom to these devices?
P.S. When the device restarts, I have the same thing appearing on my screen. (Test only, do not sale!) Keyboard has the russian letters and the device is in russian.

I have the possibility to buy this phone, but a French model. As I would buy this phone for my father, I would like to set the language of the phone in Dutch. I've seen there are custom roms available, but my question is, is it also possible to put an original Dutch rom on a French htc touch diamond? I've searched a lot onto this topic, but the information I got is very confusing. If yes, where can I download the original Dutch rom? On the site of HTC? Can I give a serial of a French model to download the Dutch one?
I would be very pleased if someone could give me a clear answer.
