I'm also looking for some app simular to S2U, but that also enabels the possibility to lock the soft-key buttons when i'm in a call.
Dont know how many times I accedentily disconnected the call
I've tried S2U, PocketShield, csdevctrl, Smartlock.
I like the GUI in S2U the most but I cant understand how to lock the softkeys when im in a call. Is it possible even?

enable the dialer's sleep mode (use hd tweak or advancedconfig for this)
this means the screen goes off during phone calls thus you can not hit buttons accidentially.
i use it in combination with Touch_InCall_Screen_Tweak which unblanks the screen if you put the phone off your ear.
Thanks for the reply and suggestions, I'll try it out, and get back.
At the moment I'm about to test the combination of S2U2 and CSDevCtrl.

I changed the registry.
When the backlight is off and the screen is lock, the backlight does not go on when I unlock the screen at this moment.
Have to press the power button to turn the screen off and on again for the backlight to work properly.
Is there a resolution on this?
Thank you.

It looks that there is a problem with Blackstone Roms, all of them have this problem. I always used autolock and my solution was to disable the Dim timer on the Power settings.
This way the phone will only locks when it powers off.
I'm not facing this issue with Duttys 6.5 Leo Test 2

I can confirm that! I don't have the issue with that ROM.
But:
When i press the CallEnd button for some seconds to lock the screen manually then there seems to be a kind of a delay until the lock screen appears.
is there a way to get the lock screen immediately or is it a general winmobile issue?
I don't know why, but nobody mentioned S2U2. Works perfectly on all Dutty ROM's and does all the things needed to solve this problem.
I set it to "Lock when device wakes up". Additionally I chose not to use S2A (Slide to Answer) in favor of the default answering slider which works like a charm for me. When somebody calls me S2U2 automatically unlocks and I have full access to the answering buttons.
Further I disabled the automatic power off by S2U2 and let WinMo do this in order to prevent conflicts between the different power managments.

Hi! Personal i don't like S2U2 too much tho thx for your hint.
I want the wm6.5 implemented lock screen but with fast reaction.
this may be a very stupid question to may of you but allow me to ask what is the correct version i should use s2u2 for my HD?
i think should be VGA/WVGA. please correct me if i am wrong.
thanks in advance
Yeah that is the correct one - HD is WVGA
you are correct. the touch HD is WVGA but for s2u2, the VGA and WVGA are installed through the same .cab
i dont really get the idea of this program. it just adds one extra barricade when i wake the device from standby. well, it locks the green phone button, thats great. but thats the onliest useful thing i can see.it just takes more time to get the device ready
well its useless if you dont set your machine to wakeup on sms and such
otherwise its useful as any locking program is: it locks the machine when needed
... and S2P (slide 2 play, a mp3-player) integrates well! You can control music playback right from the s2u2 screen! =D
ok, but the touch automatically locks when screen is turned off. so i dont get the need for an extra lock. and the s2p player is, well..., not really good ;-)
ill shut my mouth now
hey dude it's just your opinion aint it

Well I have to agree with you. I initially use it because it's cool but after using for a while I feel the way you feel too. But one of its function is useful, for locking the phone while incoming call, it avoids accidently pressing the keys at the bottom of the phone while struggling to take the phone out of your pocket/pouch/bag etc.
I tried to install s2u2 1.61 but it doesn't work anymore. It used to work with 1.52. Any idea?
I have also found with 1.60 that my reminders will flash up for about a second then disappear (i can't dismiss them).
Lock system notification is off - any ideas what would be causing this? (I could always dismiss notification in 1.45)
Hello everyone
After trying all the phone lock software out there I still can’t find what I’m looking for, what I’m looking for is so simple an icon in the start menu to lock the phone then r2u or t2u & unlock when phone rings and that’s it. I don’t like the idea of having to press the power button to wake up the screen to be able to unlock the device I’m also not interested in all of the other features that most of the phone lock’s have. Can someone help?
I have tried sensor lock I did like it a lot but I was unable to configure it and you could tell it was running in the background as the screen would jump. Plus throw in my case and a few beers and I know I’m going to drop it.
Many Thanks Jez
A list of phone lock programs you will need to search for them as some of the links aren’t applicable any more and I did need not save the ones that are working
Throttle lock
S2u2
Sunscape
Touchlock pro
Phone buddy
M lock
Organic lock
Pocket shield
Sensor lock
Lock me tight
Stylus lock
try Auto Lock (CSDEVCTRL), you could slide to the right on the screen to unlock the phone or use the windows default unlock.
Hello gbjack
Just tried that app and it’s just to much setting up and I don't think it’s going to do what I want it to do. Just hope someone is willing to write a program going by all the forums I have searched it will be popular
Cheer’s for the reply and suggestion
I tried many lock apps as well, but in the end the standard windows lock is what im using. No hassle, and it simply works as intended. I just press the "hangup" virtual button, and after the second vibration feedback i can be sure that the phone is locked. Doesn't get any simpler than that.
Then you have to try " WWE-Chobit Company SmartLock 1.7B". Only four or five options but it cannot lock your hardware key during call.

This is good specialy the turn on bluetooth on call feature, but when we have an income call, the app takes ages to know what to do and the phone only begins to ring 5 secs after. Lockmelite it's the best one around but has a problem with alarms going to background after unlock. The "almost perfect" one is s2u but huge memory consuption makes background app's close or restart.
Hello jpl69
Tried this app found it to involved to setup and still does not do what I am looking for which is tap the screen to wake up so I than can unlock the phone using a s2u app. I find it bizarre that there are many apps to unlock the phone but you still have to push the power button to operate them. Surely it can’t take much program writing to add this feature. Jez
We have to push an hardware ley to wake up our devices from a low battery consuption state (suspend mode) and unfortunaly only have the power and volume hard keys so if you want to wake up your device with a tap on screen you'll only have a couple of hours with a full charge.
Now it makes sense why the screen sleeps if the battery only last for a couple of hours. Just a shame that the power button is so fiddly to operate. Jez
Yes, and it makes no sense having an device lock app (except on incoming calls). I only use it because of my 2 year old son that found the little tiny power on key , and made a couple of phone calls.
P.S. with a registry tweak you can enable the volume keys to wake up your device.
May be this could be your appropriate application:

That is brilliant and can be found here.
Simple and effective (needs a reboot after install, and is found under settings.
Just to be helpful... here's the brilliantly useful Reg tweak to allow wake-up from the volume keys.
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Keybd
- set key: defaultkeylock from 1 to 0
- softreset
LockMeLite is definitely my favourite (especially with the above tweak), but as mentioned already, the alarm snooze / disappearing to background problem is a constant frustration.
Hello flid
Sorry for the delay everyone just got back from Canada so been busy catching up and sleeping. So how do I go about tweaking the reg key? I know how navigate to the reg key on a computer but not on my mobile
I changed my left soft key to lock the phone on the Home start screen as it was doing nothing useful except jumping to a phone operators website:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila\HomeLSKPath = windows\Endkey.exe
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila\HomeLSKText = Lock (or whether text you want).
You just need a windows mobile registry editor. There are several free ones. My current Dutty ROM has one inbuilt, but from what I can gather the popular options are Total Commander (free!), Schap's Registry (free), PHM RegEdit (which is built in to Dutty's ROM) and Resco Registry Editor (not free - but definitely the most finger friendly). There may well be others.
I've been looking for a good app that would lock the 4 buttons on an incoming call and do nothing else, but so far I have been unsuccessful. All the apps that are capable of doing this usually come with several strings attached, one of which is usually a whole new interface for the dialer.
What I am looking for is simple - when a call is incoming I want the 4 keys to be locked, but the screen to remain unlocked, so I can use the slide to answer part of the dialer.
Does such an app exist or if it doesn't, would somebody with the appropriate skills be able to write one?
LockMeLite 1.3 does this. Only other thing except that is it locks the screen when you wake up the phone, so it is not so 'heavy' application like s2u2 for example.
Thanks, but I was aware of LockMeLite. And as stated in the first post, this app forces screen locking on me. If I was able to disable the screenlock and keep the button lock during call active I'd be a happy camper.
Well, you can disable screenlock on incoming call, and if screenlock on power button press is so much of an issue for you... maybe if you ask the developer kindly, he will disable this feature just for you (or in the next version)

I was hoping for that kind of program too The best so far is AE button and put call/hangup on double tab. Wish someone could make a prog just to disable buttons on incoming call
I'm looking for this kind of app too !!!

I think during conversation, the keys became unlock. It only lock when you have an incoming call and before you pick up that call.
Try TouchLockPro (link in sig). Version 2.6 is the first release which is usable on the HD as the sole locking utility. It is very configurable, so I think you'll achieve what you want.
Hi,
Sometimes, when my DHD is in my pocket and it rings, I take it out of my pocket and, Unintentionally, rejecting the call (it seems that I am touching the screen).
Any idea how to stop it from happen?
Hi, I use Call Confirm App as I used to have the same problem, thankfully not anymore now.
What is the name of the apps?
Thanks
Call Confirm App
I installed it but it is good only for outgoing calls.
I need an app for incoming calls.
Oops sorry about that still haven't got rid of my hangover yet.
Only other thing I can suggest is get a leather-ish flip case.
I use one I got off the "bay" and it does the job OK.
Del.
Thanks.
No app?
I have exactly the same problem.
If you like, you can check my theme here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=911474 and especially its last post... but I havent found any "full" solution yet.
I have the same problem too.. :/ The only solution so far is to pull it out from the pocket very carefully without touching the screen. That just annoys the hell out of me.
I believe this will solve your problem. It's in the market and it allows you to delay button presses, to prevent accidental rejections. Check it out.
http://www.appbrain.com/app/easy-answer-button-free/org.nsd.easyanswer
Via the XDA app for the HTC Inspire
you have several options, but unfortunely none of them are great! =oP
this "slide" is a part of htc framework, so it can't be changed (if you wanna stay with sense)
so, when i'm with sense i prefer widget locker, it's a really great app, "solve" this problem by put a unlock screen over the original one (so, you pick out the pocket, unlock the phone/widget locker, see who is calling and slide up/down to answer/deny, basicaly you need to unlock you phone twice)
other idea is simply disable the lock screen and use widget locker to unlock the phone, the idea is:
- Disabling lockscreen you will get a incoming call with no slider, it will be replaced by that simple two buttons "answer" and "decline" (the same you got when the phone rings and you are using it)
- when lockscreen is disabled, the screen goes off, but any key turn it on again, so, you use widget locker to solve it, and let the option "over the original answer/deny call" ticked (but it won't stay over anything, because lockscreen is disabled)
you can also try http://www.appbrain.com/app/proximity-screen-off/com.itsme4ucz.screenoff
that app has a option that let your phone with screen off when it is in your pocket, using proximity sensor.
regards
my screen goes blank.. but the call is still pending sometimes.
