Hi,
Can you explain me how to do a wipe please ??
If you have root go to your recovery screen and you will see it there. Its alt + w to wipe if you do it, it will erase all your data you have on your phone.

Your help friends,
I put a new rom(no problem with this). But my f** idea to use my backup files from previus rom was disaster my diamond stuck in the green screen at the begginig and not load windows. What now? any idea? Can i make hard reset in this situation with the buttons?(also which buttons?).No active sunch
Hello.
Yes, what you did is not possible, phone freeze is normal.
In order to do a hard reset, reset the phone (red button under the stylus) and immediately keep the volume down and the central round button (enter) pressed (you have to do that before the logo appears on the screen). The Diamond will go through the color stripes, and then to a gray screen which tells you to press volume up to start clearing the memory (not the 4GB, only the flash).
After that, you are left with the device as it was after flashing the new ROM.
Now, if you have the option to flash your previous ROM again, this is what you may do:
1. Flash the previous ROM back on the device
2. Do a restore from your backup, to have your device in the state it was before flashing the new ROM.
3. Install SPB Backup.
4. Make a backup of your device using SPB
5. Flash the new ROM.
6. Restore the backup you did with SPB. If asked, choose the ROM Update mode, and uncheck the Overwrite files check box.
Normally, you should get what you opted for, the new ROM with your old data and applications.
Please note that restoring a backup to a different ROM is not recommended, as there are a lot of (mainly) registry settings that are passed along which may give you problems. Nonetheless, if you want to do it, this is the way to go about it.
Best regards,
Nikos
make hard reset (look which buttons, i forgott it)
try your backup again, but you can choose 3 kinds of getting your backup.
you get a question before it startet. get you a question?
I am way over my head with this problem:
I rooted my phone yesterday and installed metamorph on my motorola defy.
After that i tried installing a new theme. It installed and the phone rebooted but the interface is no longer working. It only shows some "force close" warnings for android.process.media, process com.android.bluetooth, process com.android.setupwizard etc... Now it won't let me use my phone at all. I don't have a recovery made and i tried master rebooting but it still doesn't work. Can anyone help me somehow?
I was looking for some update.zip files to recover from sd card. i don't know if it's good, that's why i've posted here...
PS: Sorry for my bad english
The only thing u need to do is to get into recovery and wipe settings and cache partition. Thats it. Follow this post : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=855962 . It shall show u how to get into factory recovery mode. That is if u are on eclair. If u are on froyo, follow same procedure, only when u see triangle, press both volume up and volume down in same time to get into menu.
Second thing u could do is to reinstall original firmware following this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=853674 .
Thank you for the answer.
I already tried factory reset, i think the theme overrided some original files so the cache wipe settings and cache partition is not working, it still shows those errors after reboot. I will try the other methods and see what will happpen.
Okay, I know you guys always need as much information as possible. I keep getting stuck on the splash screen. Sometimes it reboots/turns on/off fine. Most of the time I get stuck on the white splash screen. I was using Tmartin's version, however, I didn't want Titanium backup to be installed upon initial install, so I switched to this.
1.) rooted HW003 with Epson screen (launch day Evo)
2.) flashed AMON_RA Recovery 2.3 through hboot
3.) wiped cache and dalvik cache (twice as matter of fact, after it kept happening). Then ran FORMAT_ALL.zip from Caulkin
4.) flashed the deodexed version of the this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1038701
5.) rebooted entirely to the ROM.
6.) didn't set up google, facebook, etc) skipped all that. Turned off fast boot and booted into recovery.
7.) nandroid backup
8.) wipe cache, dalvik cache
9.) installed the new radio through recovery
10.) rebooted
11.) starts fine and works fine
12.) Shut down the phone (again, with fast boot off under applications menu)
13.) waited a few minutes, and booted phone
14.) Phone boots fine to ensure boot (Get the point, how many times i ran into the splash screen issue). I am double-checking everything.
15.) This time, i set up google and facebook ONLY. Didn't even go to Market or anything yet.
16.)SHut down the phone
17.) Get f-ing stuck on splash screen!! WTF!!!
The only way I found to fix was through clearing cache/dalvik cache. But, then the phone seems sluggish even after it gets the system all loaded up.
NOTE: This doesn't happen EVERYTIME I turn off the phone. But, it's been pretty constant. It also has happened ONCE when I used the restart option from the power menu.
Any idea's or help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello i want to restore back from CM7 to MIUI. But i have a problem to restore back. My defy cant start and only show google on screen. Please help me.

press power button on your defy, select reboot, reboot to recovery.
now after reboot you will be at recovery mode. now wipe/factory reset, wipe cache. wipe dalvik cache (just in case) .
now you should be back to cm7. but keep in mind all the data will be lost
HowTo flash via adb or fastboot?
Hello,
I updatet my SlimKat Rom from an weekly to "Slim-honami-4.4.4.build.9.0-OFFICIAL-8317".
After that the screen stays black. But the phone works, I get message notification, the Touchscreen vibrates, the alarm works...
Now I won't loose my data and settings. Can I flash the image or the previous again ( it stay on the sd card) via adb or fastboot without touching the phone?
I can enter TWRP, the lights told me (from red to purple and yellow) and it still works. My phone vibrates when I touch (the huge buttons) but I can't see anything.
I've to wipe Dalvik and cache. NOT A FULL WIPE. And install the "Slim-Honami***.zip".
Or maybe can I repair the graphic driver or device?
Thanks you all

Either you flashed the wrong zip, or you're in the wrong forum (since this is for "amami")
