PDA --> Car speakers?

Is that possible to send music to my car audio speakers through an HTC TYTN?

Yes, I use a 1 to 3 USB convertor and then plug a phono to cassette convertor.

firstly you need to make one of these
youl need a 3.5mm stereo connector, cut the earphones supplied with your tytn and attach it to the connector

once you done that you need to get a radio transmitter (£15-£30 check ebay) and plug it into your 3.5mm stereo connector

as you can see there are different ways of doing it. You could also use a bluetooth enabled car radio (very cool)

i beleive my ways the cheapest, you can plug in better earphones into the tytn and get better sound aswell

i used to use one of those but stop'd when i got a car stereo which had SDcard input and usb input
was about 75$ so no biggi

my alpine stereo plays mp3 but playing tunes and even running tomtom thru the car speakers is great

can u explain how u did this.. once u cut the usb thing how do u connect it? just chop off a 3.5 thing from another set of ear phones?

Xdaman85 - I've chopped the heads of a set of headphones for an orbit, can you tell me wire goes where in the stereo socket? I know I could buy an adapter but doing it myself is much more fun.

nope this has nothing to do with it.. because once u chop the wire from the headset the heatset only has 1 wire

Actually it does, because when I strip it back it contains all these wires. What I need to know is what is to be connected up in the stereo line socket and where!!

Because I am in Australia so I use Australian ebay. I think can find it on your localized ebay site. Is costs around 21 USD excluding shipping cost.

I have just tried mine out. The exact model you list, the BK 08.
It sounds good. I have only tested for a few minutes, but it paired up instantly and just worked. I have tried incoming calls, and it switches over to the call correctly and back to the music. The buttons work as expected, controlling calling and music playback.
I walked away from the phone to check the range, and I experienced a skip or two beyond 5m distance, but when in normal range of the phone, it's flawless.
More about the quality. I have reasonably good ears, having owned etymotic ER4s before now and consider myself a minor audiophile. From a limited listen, I have no complaints about the quality of the stream.
I was expecting to hear encoding artifacts as the material listened to was MP3, and afaik, the a2dp device will encode for transmission using the SBC codec. No obvious negative effects were detected with my admittedly average Technics headphones. If anything, the audio loses a little definition and punch. Not the same as a wired connection, but easily good enough for me.
I have enabled the a2dp registry tweak in the Kaiser tweak tool.
I bought from an ebay user called phone_base, paid £18 including postage, and received the item after about 18 days.
Very happy, and pleasantly suprised.

It wasn't so great on the train on the way home. I heard some little pops and there were more skips, so I did some more tweaks:

It is much better now.
Also, I realised there was no easy way to turn on/off the bluetooth stereo output, so I installed this:

The only other problem is that Mort player doesn't support avrcp so I can't pause it with the headset. I might have a go at this later:

bluetooth speaker recommendations

i've been searching for a decent home solution for bluetooth/smartphone integration into a pretty simple hifi/multimedia setup (media pc feeding 5.1 speakers & tv through s-video).
there seems to be an abundance of low-end portable speaker solutions and the beautiful zikmu from parrot/s+arck which are around a grand (uk £1,000). ouch!
does anyone know of a bluetooth receiver with a 3.5mm jack-out or similar standard audio connects to supply a domestic amp/speaker system through aux-in?
the belkin bluetooth music receiver (just found) appears to fit the bill ... has anyone any experience with this topic? thoughts welcome - especially product recommendations & those to avoid!

I have a Jawbone Jambox at work (I sell them actually, but we have one open for display).
I tried it today and it's amazing! A bit costly, but worth every cent. Great sound quality, great design (a given with Jawbone), and has a 3.5mm jack (though I think it's an input, not an output).

yes, i'm aware of the jambox but it looks rather small physically but all reviews state how powerful it is ... so, it'll need a demo before parting with the cash. i haven't seen a single poor review, which says something in itself i guess? & yes, the jack soclet is for non-bluetooth input.

Try it, you'll be amazed.

I was looking at the Jambox when I was researching BT speakers for myself... it was in my top 3 choices... but it was just so expensive. I ended up getting a Creative D100, which from the research I did, seemed to be the best for their price. They're a lot cheaper than the Jambox.
I have to say, I was amazed by how nice they sounded for their size. They aren't as portable as the jambox, but I'm happy with them.
They take AA batteries instead of a built-in lithium battery, which I prefer for a speaker that I hope will last several years, as lithium batteries start dying after 300 or so charges, and with AA batteries, it's easy to replace when they die.
It also can run off AC power, and has an aux in port to use with devices that don't have bluetooth.
Overall, I am very happy with the D100.

thx all, zarathustrax's suggestion does look a good affordable-portable solution but i'm primarily looking for a bluetooth feed into an existing hi-fi setup along the lines of the Belkin receiver mentioned initially.

You can always get one of those bluetooth "clips" that has a regular stereo audio-jack for speakers or headphones. It would do the same thing as the belkin receiver, but you can also use it for a handsfree headset for your phone and use it with stereo headphones. I've been looking at this one for a while... it has good reviews, and has a screen that shows caller id and song info (I think), and you can call people back directly from it without getting your phone out or control your music.... http://www.amazon.com/Sonorix-Bluet...phones/dp/B000V1UGZ2/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
It's about the same price as the Belkin receiver and you can use it for a lot more.
That's my only suggestion for a receiver, but I've never used it, but it has a lot of good reviews on amazon. I'm not sure how it would compare to the Belkin receiver, but you can use it for a lot more.

I have the Sony Ericsson MBS200 and I'm pretty happy with out. It has lineout if you prefer to output it to a bigger more powerful speaker. It's also pretty cheap and sounds really good. And it runs in recharchable battery.

Ok I bought the HTC stereoclip last week from HTC Lebanon (Microage)
The price was really fair specially for my country where everything is 2-3x more expensive!
Paid 60$ :good:
I tested this car accessory with 2 devices: One without aptx(a sort of BT codec) the Cowon J3 and the other my lovely One X which has aptx.
With Cowon J3:
-Pairing was fast and good
-Sound quality is ...crappy
-Maximum volume output in my car stereo speakers (Citroen DS3) is weak
With HTC One X:
-Pairing was fast and good
-Car app open automatically BT and stream without asking,very convenient!
-Sound quality is...very good!
-Maximum volume output in my car stereo speakers is high,let say at the same level as an audio CD!
HTC car app uses a ''modded'' version of HTC Music app,the navigation is easier in case of a car holder but you get only the Beats sound enhancer,which is too bassy!
The trick I found is to go to Viperx tweaks (only in viperx rom) and replace the music app in car app by the HTC ''classic'' music app,I then gain multiple sound enhancers like SRS WOW and others :laugh:
So in conclusion, yes it will work with many BT devices like the Cowon J3(which has only earphones BT mode only) but the sound quality and volume will be weak, if you want to buy it for the aptx ready HTC One line then it's a winner.
I am going to buy the HTC car holder for One X,it will be a very nice car audio system then...

This is just a suggestion, but could you also use a USB On The Go cable?

Can you link your phone, at the same time, to your car's Bluetooth for phone calls?

If someone calls the music is automatically cut but the voice call doesn't work with stereoclip.I don't have BT on my car radio that's why I bought this nice piece.
Yes you can recharge it with a micro usb cable while it's playing but anyway the battery last 3 days if you don't turn it off

I use it 2012 Chevy Tahoe LT. The Tahoe has BT for phone calls built in. I can pair my phones between the two BT devices.
Phone - Tahoe
Media - HTC Stereoclip
The phones I'm using? Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note.
Audio sounds great!

Thats good to know, I was wondering about that.
Technically while this is an HTC product, everyone with an Android phone/device should know about this. Honestly though I'd like to see the price drop down 40%-50%. I have a BT stereo headset that allows for 3.5mm plug-in and does the same thing and it cost $30. That battery doesn't last as long (15-20hrs while streaming) but you get the point.
I bought mine at Best Buy in the Cell Phone department. I had to find it on my own because the employees are inept and looked at me funny when I explained it to them.

The big bads of JB + Sense roms?
-No more Tunin radio integration in Car App
-Only Beats mode available now for Music app whereas it's in the car app or the classic HTC Music app.
Don't know why HTC took out all the others (SRS,Equalisers,presets...)

[Q] Use Sony earphones as PC Mic?

Hey guys! I want to ask a silly question, yeah, can I use the Sony earphones (the one that came with my Acro S, should be the same with S) as a microphone for my pc? I want to ask it because when I used it as a mic for my phone to record my voice, the quality is amazing! It's like a studio mic lol, it's better than my main pc mic. I tried to google my question but it seems like I can't find the solution (maybe I'm not a good searcher lol).
So yeah, can I?

It should work. I used to use my Xperia Mini's earphones as a mic so it is worth a try. Just connect it to the microphone jack of your pc and in the start menu, search for sound recorder.

Guys how can it worked ?? Mine never even worked as headphone or as a mic !!
Could be a issue with the Sound card may be?

Yeah probably your soundcard, my Sony earphones works like a charm on my pc, I always used it to play intense games like Battlefield 3 (stereo sound and bass is awesome).

I tried plugging it in the mic jack, didn't work :/ can't hear anything when I speak loud enough to that little hole. I set it as default device for recording, still no use. I heard someone that I should use a splitter or something.

It worked for Sony Xperia M dual earphone
I tried to use the earphones as a mic on both my laptop and PC and to my amazement it worked but the mic was the earpiece ( the piece that goes in YOUR EARS). I don't know how it happened but it did work. Unfortunately, the sound quality is so bad and very low.

Buy a splitter
I bought a splitter whose photo is attached from this link http://radioshack.com.eg/?route=product/product&product_id=2732 and it works perfectly
