Video Touch Flo Work perfect in B&B v4.0

I set up this for Tom, I am sure my space is about to have to add a server.
Touchflo like never before
Okay, I am going to let the cat out of the bag, I have been testing B&B 4.0 BETA'S for about a week.
Tom is very particular about releasing his ROMS due to his desire for perfection, he works day and night trying to get this thing right, but is working overtime at his real job trying to keep in good financial standings.
This is extremely difficult as a student as most of you know, so I feel that it necessary for US as a community to show this guy some support.
Meaning hit this
Now onto what you all want to know, this Rom is super fast, faster than B&B 3.7. The touchflo works as if it were native, not a single bit of slow down. Anything that you have a scroll bar on you can use the touchflo on, meaning EVERYTHING. It is simply awesome.
It is now my opinion that our device out does any and all existing devices.
The release on the ROM is pending, there are still a few small tweaks that need donedue to the fact that Tom is having to volunteer for overtime at work, bills must be paid...
Dont get me wrong, he will finish it soon, but the less he has to volunteer at work the sooner we get the final version.
I am sure Tom will be embarrased by me being so blunt, but I cant help it, this guy is working his off and ask for nothing, he only posts the links for donations after we prod him.

Please be patient, another reason this is taking time is due to internet connection issues, the same reason I am posting this info for Tom_Codon.

gotta be honest, donated for v3.7 and will again for v4.0, but I prefer OEM look for startup and welcome screens, just my input... dont like the PDAVIET branded welcome screen, but just my opinion.
Anticipating v4.0 soon! Thanks for the effort on this ROM, looks very well done.

looks very cool. I too prefer the standard looking splash screens though, no biggy it can be changed once hte rom is installed i imagine. Whats the professional version going to have?

Is there any chance that the ROM will be available by friday? Im going on vacation on Saturday morning and would love to have the new ROM in by then. But no pressure mate, I know that it has to be finished before you'll release it. Keep up the great work!

O2's rom is crap if you've used or tried v4!!
Really this is very sweet ROM... Just give it some time for the final beta testing...

Yeah that sounds really great. I also can´t wait no more longer for this great ROM. I hope Tom will release it soon, but take your time.

Why do you want to protect it ? Why don't have it open & share it with people who maybe like your rom, and want to add "3rd part applications" ?
You could use packagebuilder.

if u find out how to protect the rom, than please inform also HTC so that they protect their official roms too, so that no one can recook them...............
if HTC doesn't protect them (the official releases), then why should WE protect them?

& I know this have been up to, and it end up in a big discussion, ..
But the only thing that i was saying it, was because of those who want to "protect" there device with the gps and sms system.

...after sharing the rom to us, it will be protected ;-)

if you dont want anyone to rip it off dont make it public.
funny you should say about recooking and getting donations as that is what your dooing. you do realise its illegal and getting paid for it is especially naughty (opens can of worms).
i say this as i hate locked roms.

CID lock is hackable too... and I think HTC, microsoft wanna to protect the ROM too and they have a lot of $$ to do so... but ...
so why one (cookedROM) wanna a protection?
what's special features or things that in the ROM that one do not want others to have?
Remember, say if you can protect your ROM, when you install, the files will be expanded... and other chiefs can copy too, others can dump the files from a phone...

Isn't every ROM here a 'rip-off' of someone elses work??? Most ppl are just honest about it is all - they understand they've made improvements and added to the work but at the end of the day they can't claim it as 'their work'!
Most variants here utilise modded TF3D (HTC's expensive and hard work) and various software from all over... unless you're releasing a build entirely developed from your own work (near on impossible - just ask Schaps) than suck it up.
IMO you should feel obliged to share and not lock down work that you really have no right to claim as your own anyway!
I understand that you don't want someone passing off your efforts as their own - but your best defence is to make what you've done well known so ppl recognise it... and the best way to do that is simply to share it openly (and document it well in the forum).
If it's a worthwhile effort than ppl know will soon know where to look for it and who to credit (and from what I've seen on these forums, most ppl are happy to credit others)...

using ervious kitchen alows you to build all packages to one. this is very nice, it also helps with performance of the rom, it gets rid or all the DSM files. so you have less files in your windows folder.

All I can say is, if you really want a protection, the only solution is: do not release it. Just cook it and only install it on you OWN diamond. In this way, you can look at your OWN rom and OWN device and feel like you are a genius.

HIGHLIGHT: Froyo on .29 kernel!

I decided to put this in development section to be sure that EVERY cooker sees it! In the dream's zone they've already ported an almost fully-functional froyo! And guess what...IT RUNS ON .29 KERNEL! Does it mean that all the drivers for eclair will work with froyo too? I'm not really sure about it but I suppose you're all waiting for the complete rom are you? Then you will modify it to run on Hero? I really hope so...By the way here the link:

Since a lot of Android users is Sense whores (including myself) i second that as well. But i think i will be ready to move on as soon as a stable Froyo cook is available.

Come on man give it some time.
The current builds are based on the SDK or the nexus one ota or a mix of those.
Wait till google releases the source to git and see what happens.

I have already ported Froyo since day 1 (sdk), but useability was very low.
I'll have a look at the nexus build and make a hybrid, since looks like it's the most successful atm.

It was already clear that Froyo will work with the .29 kernel.
The earliest builds where used with the emulator-images in the SDK that got released (like adwinp did). Nothing too functional, but fun to play with for a bit.
Chefs could work with porting the officially released Nexus1 ROM...
.. but I guess, that they are waiting for the source to hit the official Android git's. (Is android even using git?). Trying to port a ROM for a device with different resolution and hardware isn't impossible, but compiling from official source is easier.
So if the source hits quickly (and people guess it is) they can compile from source, use a .29 kernel (which everybody is playing and testing with now) and have a pretty good functional froyo build

WDM and NFSFAN were the 2 most reckonized devs for the Vogue, and best.....of course that would mean forgetting anout Vin, he was awesome as well.
I've been saving for a Desire now that Canada finally has them and will probably switch by next month (Vogue, original never replaced is getting veeeery long in the tooth). I will glady test for you even, or I should say especially if I replace my Vogue before your "first" ROM is released.

No not really... Not for the stable 235xx builds anyway. But this is good IMO, SYS 23569 is a great build. And now we have some time to prefect it.

Truth be told, most of these guys are still around, dharvey is a mod at the HD2 section... he can always lend a hand if needed be
